I said during his previous presidency that people watched Trump for the same reason they’d watch a toddler with a loaded gun. The only difference is that this time the toddler was able to get rid of the responsible adults, but still has the loaded gun.

Cut down drinking + relax? Works

Stay more informed + cut down drinking? Difficult

Cut down drinking + stay more informed? Necessary

If you’d left off the “stay informed” you might have managed the other two.
