Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Right, Goldie! The brother-in-law shows up without even a toothbrush and spends the night, and then gives a minute-by-minute alibi to the police the next day? That’s always struck me as suspicious. Also, there was an early train from Fairhaven and one back. Emma could have been in on it. . .
Years ago during a trip back East, we stayed at the Borden house for 2 nights. The first night, we attended a seance. The overnight guests also got a tour of the scary basement where it was rumored that ghosts hung out.
Beatrixia: Elvis, have you heard back from Mag-Lor about the Voyage Scroll?
Elvis-Anum: Yes. He says he and his family know about the scroll, but haven’t really studied it. They think it’s written in a script that predates the Tengwar script his father created. I brought his letter:
Dear Friend Elvis, I trust you are doing well. Give my best to Queen Cat and all the cats and kittens of the court.
My family and I have seen the Voyage Scroll, but have not had the opportunity to study it. There are many theories about who may have written it. The one most often quoted is that it is associated with the Ancient and Accepted Procurers’ Guild. Which branch, and what purpose it serves is not told.
I will find out what I can about the Scroll. In the meantime, be well. Your friend, Mag-Lor.
Bea: I’m sure the Royal Procurers will never tell.
Alice-Ata: That’s true.
Beaver Lee Cleary: But maybe the Librarians can find out a thing or two!
I don’t think the woman is actually replying to the cat. Her sentences can stand alone. But Beatrice(is this Beatrice?) Is intelligent and can understand her.
Well, my cats—one of them, more likely—have channeled Lupin. Somecat found The Switch That Makes Denny Scream. (no, not the power strip for the computer; it’s the one for the cable gateway)
Lizzie was guilty. She had means, motive and opportunity. Any man would have been found guilty but the jury couldn’t believe that a nice girl from a good family would hack her father and stepmom to pieces.

Goldie is on the case. Now we’ll finally get to the bottom of it. She’s as sharp as a…well….axe?

Having a deep philosophical discussion with a cat? Who does that? (I mean, other than about 98%+ of the people here.)

In an ill-advised advertising gambit, Lizzie’s likeness briefly appeared on cartons of Borden’s brand milk.

Exactly, Goldie! We’ve all had our “lost it” moments. Maybe not quite that bad but still …

I have been summoned and am typing this as Holmes dictates. Ahem:
“Goldie raises some valid points, and her grasp of the case details is excellent. She is a worthy detective.”
I have been released to continue my day. Cheers, everyone.

Ah, nothing like a good late-night conversation about murder. Goldie is definitely a good cat to go to for this.

Guess I don’t remember anything about the half brother coming to town. Was he a suspect at some point?
