I’m first this time! And I predict a Great Future for Drumstick in the technical fields!

Burt has found his apprentice. Meanwhile, the other BCN crew are reading the kittens the riot act.

So I will once again explain what I believe the “Mega Orb” to be:A collection of people who love animals, each other, and our beautiful planet Earth.

Orbsters acknowledge Georgia as our leader and guide, giving us wonderful things to discuss, and a safe place to share joys and concerns without the fear of put-downs, unkind remarks, and such things that sap spirits and create depression, anger or sadness. Our gratitude can never equal what she has done for us. ♥♥♥

Orbsters try to build up. Because it seems so many in the cyber world thrive on undermining, the haven of the Mega Orb offers boosts, “atta(boys/girls)”, and “YES YOU CAN!s”.

Orbsters see past the surface & embrace the hearts of others. Your faith (if you choose to believe), appearance, bank account, past life, etc., have no bearing.

I like the way the kitty in the second panel is voting “LIVE” instead of “DIE” as a punishment.

The dog in the strip doesn’t look angry but I know he feels like he wants to get it over with. Also what’s the dog’s name?

Iggy is actually a very good boy. He got in trouble because he’s a follower, and Ora Zella has a strong influence on him.

Burt, please remind Drumstick that “can” does not imply “should”.

Obviously there are multiple schools of thought when it comes to raising kittens and kits!

I slept in a bit this morning (no worries, HRH still got me up for her 5am feeding) and when I woke up officially a little before 8am I ran downstairs only to find my sweet little kitty sprawled out on my chair, which is a first since we moved here. Her head on my armrest tilted towards me with a sleepy little ‘meow’ as I passed. “Good morning!” I said, and in response she stretched four sets of her little toe-beans out before laying her head back down on the arm rest and drifting back to sleep.

It was a great start to my day! Hope everyone who reads this has as good a start as me :D

Ora Zella, a criminal cat in the making if I ever saw one.

Burt’s meticulous and unflappable nature reminds me of Jamie from Mythbusters. I love how he’s recognized Drumstick’s curiosity and is encouraging him, rather than scolding him. I just hope he also teaches the little trash panda limits and boundaries, too: “This is how you hack the engine, but also try not to blow anybody up when you do it.”

Hee hee, sounds like Burt’s more upset that he missed out on the fun than anything. :P

…and the cats have a Flipper Zero? Grrr….

Seems everyone today is either a techie or a victim of a techie.

Does that scribble beside Ora Zella mean she’s fuming?

Likely so.

Not to cause a division in the ranks here, but I think that’s Goldie in the last panel showing Drumstick how to hack into a cellphone mic.

Is Trevor blushing at being caught with a racy book?

Goldie’s still munching her stolen snacks! Lovely detail!

Poor Trevor; he’s so embarrassed. I think he’d rather not have anything to do with this particular broadcast.

It is often effective to mix scolding with praise, or at least reassurance.

Welp, they had to find out at some point. BKN was fun while it lasted.

I need a copy of this as a poster for my classroom, because I am Burt and this is the problem the school has with me.

Well, Breaking Kitten News has come to an end. It was entertaining while it lasted, but for the sake of peace in the household it needed to end this way.

Beatrix is sincere. Goldie is a kitten at heart.

OZ isn’t sorry. But the others are. Like the last panel.

Katie, my ten-pound whirlwind, turned her vet visit into an episode of “Pets Gone Wild.” The exam and shots were fine, but she turned the nail clipping into a wrestling match with the vet assistant, Mark. My hubby reported that Katie was NOT in the mood for a pedicure. Hubby and Katie’s exit created a sigh of relief from everyone and embarrassment for hubby.

I predict Drumstick will put that newly learned tech skill to good use in a future long story arc.

OT: Muddy rain

My car is covered in small, round, muddy dots from the overnight rain. According to the meteorologists, the mud came from Texas and New Mexico. Unfortunately, I’m low on washer fluid, so Texas and New Mexico are now streaking across my windshield.

Goldie is still snacking, and burt has found a trainee.
