    A razor thin slice of time so small it almost doesnā€™t exist. When you say the word ā€˜present,ā€™ by the time you get to the ā€˜r,ā€™ the ā€˜pā€™ is already in the past. The ā€œpresentā€ is the infinitesimally small particle of time when the future (which doesnā€™t yet exist) becomes the past (which no longer exists).

    Having read through the comments, there is no reference to the dread of a nuclear conflagration in the future. When I was a kid we were trained to hide under our school desks. Unfortunately there is no longer a school desk for me to duck under anymore. These are really scary times.
