I love a good carrot cake but used a box mix and enhanced it with extra pineapple and nuts . Topped with a cream cheese icing it was delicious! Today’s comic is hilarious though and every panel has me chuckling.

It’s a healthy cake! All that fruit and vegetable! Healthy-ish. Somewhat healthy-ish. Slightly healthy-ish. Oh, very well, we tried making a healthy cake. That counts, right?

I love a good carrot cake. I used to make a great one for Mom’s church’s cake sales. Biding wars and everything. They are expensive if you use nuts, and no one has the time to bake them, either.

Years ago, where I was working, there was a man who baked and cooked on the side. He sold carrot cakes in the office. They were somewhat small and people complained about the price, but they kept buying them

I like a good carrot cake. My mom used to make a good one when she still remembered how to bake. She always made one for my dad for his birthday. I don’t remember though if it had raisins and pineapple in it. It seems like the cats would at least approve of the cream cheese frosting.

Update on the cat to the shelter, he’s been adopted!! We are sooo happy!!

This was hilarious! And I still love carrot cake….with pineapple and coconut! My kids called it garbage cake. More for me!

I have made a homemade, from scratch carrot cake before, because it’s my brother’s favorite and he needed a birthday cake. It is a LOT of work! Most carrot cakes since have been store bought, but I can say I’ve put in the effort to do it myself, and the cake came out rather well!

I like carrot cake, but I don’t make it; I just eat it.

I love carrot cake but prefer it without raisins.

That last panel reminds me of my mom’s fruitcakes! I’m probably one of the few people in the world who actually like homemade fruitcake from Grandma’s recipe.

The other day I had Carrot, Orange and Ginger ice cream much to the disgust of the children in our party (one of whom had bubble gum and also candy floss flavour). It was delicious, really refreshing.

I love most cake, except for carrot cake and German chocolate cake. They rank right down there with fruit cake. Some things just don’t need to be.

Carrot cake is my husbands favorite. Must leave out the pineapple though. I have a recipe for a quick to do one that uses baby carrots and a yellow cake mix. its actually pretty good.

Hi Georgia, I have an idea for your favorite charity.

Have a contest where your readers pledge money to a charity that you and the Man support. The high bid or randomly drawn winner, in the event of a tie, can write Burt’s dialogue for the Crawl for one Sunday strip of your choosing. You will have final authority over accepting and editing the dialogue.

The idea came to me as I was wiping coffee off the computer screen after reading Burt’s comment: “Is a rabbit having a birthday?”

Carrot is the superior cake.

I love carrot cake! but Sarah (Russian Blue, 15 years old) only likes the cream cheese frosting.

Time to get started on the frosting. A 17-pound carrot cake takes LOTS of frosting.

My hands down favourite birthday cake is an amalgam of two besties. Brownie with a New York style cheesecake on top. Covered with strawberries and sauce.

Evidently the part of the article I wanted to drop in had words that GO Comics said were on their banned list. Like what? Raisins, pineapple, United Kingdom, Rationing…?

Carrot cake is my favorite! I usually get it from the bakery because it really is a chore to make from scratch. Cream cheese icing is a must! Raisins are optional!

Carrot cake is one of the few cakes that’s not just a frosting delivery vehicle. Of course carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is even better.

I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, but spending forever shredding carrots? I’ll skip the grind.

ugh.. carrots. I’m with the cats on this one.

I adore carrot cake, but I have tragically developed a mild allergy to wheat recently. Finding gluten free baked goods that don’t taste like sawdust and sadness has been a challenge so far, and I am not brave, or rich, enough to try the wheat free flours in the store.

Carrot cake is okay, but you know what’s really great? Chocolate zucchini cake! I know it sounds like it shouldn’t work, but trust me it’s amazing. You don’t taste or see the zucchini but it makes the cake so moist and fluffy. It’s delicious.

My sister introduced me to it a few years ago and now I demand it every year for my birthday cake. I’ll admit I would have been hesitant to try it even though I’ve eaten zucchini in other things like stews or fritters before, but thankfully she had me taste the cake before revealing the key ingredient.

A Cuisinart makes it much easier. I make a bomb carrot cake, used to make ’em for the elders I worked for in Portland, OR.

I’m going to assume here that for reasons unknown, Georgia’s cats don’t like carrot cake. My cats like whatever I am eating!
