Awwww! A big Tommy flop and roll! So relatable. And an adorable Sophie sit! So sweet of her to come over and check in with him and listen.

I like this rather unexpected plot twist.

I love how Sophie is supportive of Tommy.

Sophie bringing ALL the sweetness! And yes Tommy, they were very uncute! Something no one has ever been able to accuse you of.

Last seen surrounds by circling piratical moles! It’s a relief to see Tommy back home and safe, but … what about the Dread Lawn Potatoes of Rudeness? Are they still dominating the yard? Will Tommy ever be able to roam the garden without getting bullied again?

Oh Sophie! I’m loving her right now. And those sweet smiles between them in the last panel when Tommy used the wrong word.

Those moles were uncultured boors! But they sure had some great costumes, especially the leader!!

Few things glummer than Tommy glumming-out on the linoleum.♥

OMC – have we ever heard Thomas (Tommy to everybody but Sophie and the MOLES and their dreaded leader, the Pirate Mole Roberts ) say a disparaging word about anyone before?

Their expressions are so eloquent. Ceiling Cat bless them both.

Ora Z: What happened? I picked this flower and suddenly everything disappeared. It’s kinda neat.

Sometime Later

Ora Z: This nothing is getting pretty boring. Is anyone there? Anybody?

Voice: I say, is that young Ora Zed?

Ora Z: Yes. Who’s there?

Voice: An end of the month traveler.

Ora Z: I know you! You’re Jules, aren’t you?

Jules: Quite right. Dear me, it looks like you’re in a spot of trouble.

Ora Z: I picked this flower and suddenly everything disappeared!

Jules: Oh, dear. It appears you’ve picked a space time anemone. Frightfully tricky things, those. I’ve had a bit of trouble with them a time or two.

Ora Z: What did you do?

Jules: Well the first thing to do is stay calm and carry on. Let’s think what to do. Put our heads together, so to speak.

Ora Z: I feel like we should call for help.

Jules: Capital idea. On three. 1, 2, 3.

Ora Z and Jules: HELP!

Jules: Again.

Ora Z and Jules: HELLLP!

Ora Z: I feel like that did the trick.

Ora Z: How did you escape the nothing?

Dear Sophie! She’s not as aloof as she used to be.

Geez Thomas, what did you expect? If you lived underground and your diet consisted mostly of earth worms you would be cranky and uncouth as well.

I’m glad Sophie is there for Tommy. It’s so rare to see him depressed. I love the play on words: uncouth/uncute definitely suits those moles!

I’m telling ya. Send Elvis out to twist some necks and the mole problem goes away.

I’m half expecting Sophie to go out and tell the moles they are being uncouth, uncultured and downright uncivilized while Elvis joins her to read a dignified reproval.

Aw, we still have a sad Tommy. And Sophie is being sweet to him.

They were both!

It took some time, but their friendship has developed so sweetly! It must be hard for Tommy for his friendly tactics to fail.

I still think this is a job for Baba Mouse, maybe with Trevor for company. Or…is that owl somewhere near?

How can anyone hate Tommy? He wouldn’t hurt a fly.
