So what does Gunny get out of the deal? I mean JEEZE, Gunny had three kittens hanging off him, while Les only had one. But everybody gets something out of the deal except Gunther?

I’m sorry G&K, but THAT is Horribly Unfair,How about give Gunny a hunting falcon to go along with his medieval cosplay costumes?

My stepfather had a relationship something like this with Yang. When he married my mother he came right out and said he wasn’t a cat person; didn’t hate them, just didn’t have much use for them.

Yang of course immediately decided that this new guy in the house was his favorite human of all. He’d sit with his back to him, with his butt right on the tip of Ralph’s toe, and watch TV with him. He quickly decided that the only person who was allowed to feed him was Ralph, and Ralph couldn’t even start the coffee-maker in the morning until he’d put one spoonful of food in Yang’s dish. (Once he got that out of the way and got the coffee started, he’d finish putting out the rest of the cat food.)

When Yang had to be put down, Ralph went with him to the vet’s and held him as he went to sleep for the last time. “Not a cat person” my part-you-sit-down-on.

Okaaaayyy – now what happens if they come right back in the door because Irma forgot her purse or something and spot Les and Punk on the beanbag?

I just looked up all the “rules” for fostering kittens. There’s no way I’d ever “foster” a kitten! If you want your own kitten, they’re easy to come by.

The Gray-Eiffle-Knox clan is making their move on all fronts. Al marries Gunther’s mother and gets her to sell her house. Al then builds a house for his nephew and Irma’s son. Al’s evil sister, Ann, moves in with Tiffany’s dad and immediately has him start putting the screws to Tiffany. In the meantime, Greg starts redeeming the former school bully, Les. The question is why? These are not nice people, and Irma is painfully dull.

I knew Les had a soft spot for Punk and wanted to keep him.

Good to know there is a good person inside Les. I’d never had dreamed it.

Alright, G & K…. where are you going with this? Turning Les “soft??” Well, at least soft in re: Animals??? Hmmmm….. Once a villain, always a villain. And Mordy was right.. What does Gunth get out of this? If Les is “turning…” I hope he does right by Tiff and turns on him mother… Ann needs to suffer……

Exactly why does Gunther have to get something out of this? In the earlier strips he’s not really all that interested about the kittens & besides he has his cute little GF to keep him occupied.

Knox is just a big softy after all. This is going to ruin his reputation.

It’s amazing how animals soften the heart! I have two special needs boys who each have their own cats, oh the comfort and joy they receive from them!

Is this it!?!? We’ve (most of us) have been speculating about who GnK will hook Les up with, companion-wise. So is this it? Gunny gets a girl and Les gets a cat? Mordy would see this as poetic justice. :o)

I wonder if GnK have decided this route deliberately. Because Les is too volatile for a girlfriend still and needs some Punk rehab first. Mebbe Les will attend a cosplay event with Gunny and meet up with Catwoman.

Let’s see if I can stir up a catfight. ;o)

Les’ face reminds me of Danny DeVito. And Les is super abrasive, like many characters DeVito plays. Les just isn’t FUNNY like Danny DeVito is.

AWWWW, love it. Lets enjoy it. I think it holds hope for the future. Punk deserves to be a second pet we see from time to time, if he can bring a happy smile to this damaged young man. If this has an eventual tie to Tiffany, who needs all the help, support, and love she can get just about now (ugggh I have her dad as much as I can a comics character, even more than Ann, who at least we know is a bad person, and is drawn that way) so be it I say. Maybe Les might just be what she needs. HMMMMMMM!!! Okay MD, CP, DOG, have it? Pipe, pipe in. Lets get this thread really going anyone out there. Yeah Punk, the best new character since Bets.

Leslie uses the euphemism “heck?” Why don’t I believe it? Still, a cute kitten has found its way into his heart, proving that he has one. There’s hope for you, Les. Now get a haircut and lose the shirt. And the sparse chin spinach.

This story arc is uplifting and charmingly rendered.

Les definitely knew Punk was hanging onto him yesterday. He cares too much about the kitten to let him really have wandered off. If he really thought the kitten was missing Les would be the first one out the door looking for him.

Kittens and cats are the best cure for insomnia…I can never stay awake when one of them curls up on my lap and starts purring…

Well, it’s like the old saying goes… Misery loves company.

Most rescues these days will NOT adopt out a kitten before it’s been spayed or neutered, has it’s shots, etc. I hope that he’ll just admit he wants to adopt the kitten. “Foster fails” are very common.

Les has adopted Punk, and vice-versa.

Perhaps this isn’t a terribly popular point of view, since most people understandably cannot stand Les, but I feel anyone that likes cats, even if they outwardly deny it, aren’t terrible people.

Punk can’t stay hidden forever. It would be considerate if Les would just tell Irma and Al that he is adopting Punk, so that they don’t get in trouble with the shelter director who trusted them to care for those cats.

Les is human after all! kid has a heart of gold under that rough exterior that was given to him by Anne Eiffel…….

I think that the writer of the strip is showing that Les has a human side.
