Stefani spending most of her time in Kip’s room is a blessing for Tiffany. At least until the RA sticks her control freak nose into the room. That has to be a rule violation. And Stefani is so pushy and so hyper and so in your face and so so annoying. OMG.

Soooo… I guess we’ll get to watch Greg work through his issues with the cheerleader who turned him down for a date. I’m still wondering what she said that resulted in 35 years of revenge-by-proxy.

Hey, Tiff, you could go to tutoring sessions (and actually learn something) to avoid your roomie. There’s also a place called a “library” where you can study…

She is so pushy and in your face. If I were Tiffany, I’d be thrilled to know she won’t be in the room most of the time. I would consider myself lucky.

Stefani does not respect personal boundaries, which might be OK with Kip, but I can see her having problems with virtually everyone else.

I think this is headed in a good direction. This outrageous exaggeration of the obnoxiously imposing Stef-monster is so repulsive that Tiffany will repel in the direction of becoming a focused and goal-driven student.

Stephani isn’t listening to a word Tiff is saying. I’m rather surprised stephani’s lips aren’t on fire as she hasn’t stopped talking since she got in the room. haha

Allow me to amend my previous entry. How long before Tiffany is ready to throw all of Steffani’s stuff in a dumpster (along with Steffani)?

Its still a rule violation to have guest past 10 Pm in the dorm at Mooney U. Tiffany might have a bit of leverage if Stef becomes a major “problem.”

But the Good News IS Tiff will have the room mostly to herself.

The Bad news is, she’s alone again.

I get that there are folks who are inherently gregarious ‘people-persons’ types, but the issue becomes serious if you cannot govern yourself to keep your hands to yourself and respect other people’s personal space and boundaries.

OKAY… This sub plot is going to be INTERESTING! Someone who appears to be like Tiff’s “old self…” Let’s hope Tiff sees this as a “maturity call” and completes her “wise up” evolution. But this is going to be real good seeing how she reacts to this new character. Let’s hope Tiff doesn’t keep any “sharp instruments,” etc. in the room!

Oh no … Tiffany has become Stefani’s personal project! She wants her to go back to be a cheerleader and she don’t take a “No” as an answer. I wonder if Tiffany will accept and try or she will stand up to say that her life has changed and she has no time or don’t wants to be a cheerleader anymore.

I don’t think Stefani has an ‘off’ setting. This will exhaust Kip.

Already tired of another character with boundary issues.

Tiffany, now is the time to slap her hand away and tell her that if she touches you again, you’re calling campus security. Then contact student housing and ask for a different roommate.

I can only see two things coming from this: 1. This reawakens old Tiffany and I wouldn’t mind that actually. I think Tiffany has become a bit of a doormat, I miss her edge. She needs to beat Ann Eiffel once and for all…she has lost some of her luster to me. OR: 2. She comes full circle and learns to really appreciate how much she loves her change. How much she doesn’t wanna go back there. This is not bad either.

OK. It was a short self imposed exile.

Some observations:1) Stef right now, is a royal pain. But I took a while to see where this was going before judging her.

2) KIp may have a single suite, but it does not need to be Tiff’s old one. In fact it probably isn’t as most schools either alternate floors, or wings. I don’t think he minds her but he knows her better. Also he is a QB and may have a full ride, and housing.

3) Stef needs to breathe.

4) Tiff needs to derail this NOW and in no uncertain terms stop her uninvited touching and opinions.

5) There will be more from me as they occur.

6) oh yes and RUSH LIMBAUGH is a racist and misogynist and should not be getting any rewards.

Jocks usually have a jock roomie. So being in Kips room may mean up until curfew. Curfews are more strictly enforced in college sports, especially the major sports. And absolutely enforced when on the road! Strictly for financial considerations for the school involved; scholarships, law suits….. :o)

Greg has a sticky situation here considering the after curfew and over-night shenanigans of Tiff with Gunther and Bern with Piro. He played around with this topic a few years ago. Let’s see how much his Luann strip precis has changed; if so.

I feel sorry for Tiffany. I know she treated others this way, but she has changed.

Strikes me that Tiff is getting to know how others feel to be around her.

I can’t decide if Stef will be a new arch nemesis for Tiffany or if it will send her back to her old ways. I don’t think being thin and made up is important, but part of me feels like Tiffany would feel better about herself if she let some glam back in. It’s just who she likes to be. I don’t like the grumpy Tiffany as much. And no I’m not saying it’s about looks, it’s just depressing seeing her so knocked down by life!

Hmmm….. backhanded “compliments” that really aren’t, put downs and offering unasked for beauty advice! At last—-someone is giving Tiffany a dose of her own bitter medicine. So why don’t I feel better about this? I genuinely feel sorry for Tiffany. I hope she dumps this crew ASAP and sticks with Hair and Viper as new friends. This couple is bad news.

She is Tiffany v.2, only question is whether Tiffany will ever realize it.

I never want to troll or be trollish but I have to say Stefani and the whole arc is getting annoying not that it’s a new set of characters, after all Tiffany is going throug a normal college experience where she will meet and interact with all kinds of people in regular dorm life, and I think how she matures, and the adventures she will do through in that process is something me, and a lot of those who are pulling for Tiffany as a character approve of, Just that Stefani is so aggravating, irritating, all in your face, prepossessing personality, with the QT, QB boyfriend. However I think we/me have to be patient, A new character is carefully introduced in this strip, for a reason, so I will put my trollism away and await arc developments.

Ugh! Where is the RA when you need her? Where is TIff’s “spine” she showed against her father, Ann and the junk dealer? This Steph is a PITA! It’s going to get crowded in Kip’s room with Steph and all the party goers. Do these kids attend classes?

Steffi-bird has boundary issues. Tiff might want to consider keeping her stuff under lock and key cause Stef looks like the kind of person who would just help herself to Tiff’s belongings, and when Tiff found out, Stef would say: “Oh, you don’t mind, do you sugar?”

And again with another backhanded compliment, putting down Tiff’s choice in makeup.

I know that seems a stretch, but this is an awful lot of build-up (and caricature). Which seems to suggest that Steph will play some major role in the ongoing saga…

Tiffany has yet to react to StefiBird in any manner to indicate how she will deal with this situation. It’s interesting that Greg does not have Tiff responding in a snide way at this point. Maybe he’s just letting StefiBird dig her hole deeper. Or maybe Tiff will respond to her affectations with humor.

Kip’s character is drawn in an appealing manner, as oppose to StefiBird who is very “cartoonish.” So I think he will play a central role in this threesome, actively or passively.

Back when we were speculating about who Tiff’s roommate would be, I wrote that the “Tiffany character” in the strip was dead and gone. This new Tiffany, “Tiffany-Prime,” is a rapidly evolving new being.

I also speculated that Greg might reintroduce a Tiffany-like character to fill that niche; that character-hole in the strip. Maybe this is her?

Stefani and Tiffany will either be besties for awhile or frenemies.

I’m pretty sure that Stefani does mean WELL.

But I hope later (using different word inflection) that it will NOT become a ‘Stefani does ‘MEAN’ well’. … (I think Stef thinks and believes she’s being nice, even though she’s oblivious, and her comments could be interpreted as left-handed compliments) … I agree also that Tiffany needs a break from all the crud being dropped on her, near constantly it seems of late. …

I used to read Luann first every day, but I’m just not enjoying it lately. Guess I’ll take a break.

So far, we’ve seen Stefani make condescending remarks (even if sugar-coated with trappings of sympathy, friendship, or encouragement) on the subjects of (a) Tiff’s pillows, (b) Tiff’s physical condition, © Tiff no longer being a cheerleader, and (d) Tiff’s make-up. What will be the next target of Stef’s sniping? (e) Tiff’s clothing? (f) her hairstyle? (g) her job at the Fuse? (h) her friends? (i) her lack of a boyfriend? (j) whatever circumstances Stef imagines made Tiff move out of her suite? (j) her academic difficulties (if Stef finds out about them)? (k) her counseling sessions with Mrs. Fogarty (if Stef finds out about those)? (l) her physical condition/weight again? (m) something about “Tiff As Nails”? I won’t try to guess which, but I will go far enough out on a limb as to predict that at least two of those things will come in for criticism, condescension, or backhanded compliment some time within the next twenty panels in which Stef appears.

Woah. Although it appears a bit more likely that Stefani is attempting to be nice and is not intentionally being snarky/mean……. I must say that especially after today that she sure as hell is annoying.

Putting lipstick on Tiffany is a bit too much, IMO. It seems horrendous to me….. even though I think Stefani is intending to be nice. And, I am also presuming this is Stefani’s own lipstick that has been used by her to the behavior today has just another layer of grossness associated with it too.

Doesn’t anybody else see this? Stef is Ann Awful on steroids. Never listens. Wants her own way. Doesn’t take anybody else’s needs, wants, or desires into consideration. Tiffany needs to learn to stand up to Ann, and learning to stand up to Stef is a great jumping off place. Learn to stand up for yourself, Tiffany! Stop letting people walk all over you! Start small, like with the roommate from Hell, then move on to Ann. Get them both out of our life!!!!! (Oops, little Freudian slip there…I meant “out of YOUR life.” I think.)

It started when Tiffany miscalculated that the roomie was going be a 1st year student. Tiffany didn’t factored the probability of a seasoned student who has gamed the MRS degree program by hooking up with a potential NFL Tycoon Quarterback. Stefani is protecting her investment. Ann Eiffel and Stefani are cut from the same roll of chocolate.Tiffany didn’t graduate from the school of hard knocks. She majored in “Dad`s little princess” certificate program. Tiffany needs to “get real” and finish her degree or hook up with Gunther, silicon valley entrepreneur!

Can barely believe Stefani is calling out the Tiffster for not being au courant with her make-up! What a devastating insult!

Yeah, Stefani is good-looking. But that doesn’t excuse her pushiness. Maybe Tiff will have to rat out her Kippiness to the the Iron R.A….

Tiff thought her room-mate would be some shy mousy girl and that she would teach her about make-up, clothes and how to be confident. Instead she finds herself on the receiving end of that scenario in its most offensive form. I’m still trying to figure out where this is going. I continue to hope that Steffi’s overbearing nature serves to remind Tiff (over and over) of what she does not want to get sucked into.

So, I’m guessing that the next step in the growing up of Tiffany is that she gets to experience what it was like to be on the receiving end of herself via Stefani.

This room mate is Uber annoying, and a totally overblown cliche. Not funny at all. The cheerleaders I knew in our high school were very smart (one was a 4.0 through High School and the Valedictorian), very good organizers and planners and very athletic. Most of them were stars on the Volleyball, and Basketball teams and said Valedictorian was also a Softball star. She got a Volleyball scholarship to U of M. Also active in Band.
