Tiffany!! Been kind of absent lately, in that big old insolated mansion, all alone. Even though she states silly stuff without for 23 minutes, the time is the most clear testimony that she is scared being alone. Nice, creepy perspective in panel 3. Luann’s house is benign compared to poor and scared Tiffany.

Does anyone here still watch an actual TV?

Sorry Tiff they told you it’s a City wide outage.

I hate it when the power goes out as well. But I don’t freak out like that. Instead, I just curse under my breath while i round up the candles and flashlights….

Notice that the inability to use her hair dryer topped her list. In many ways Tiff hasn’t changed a bit.

Mark me as impressed that Tiffany knew where a candle was and how to light it.

Oh my God, first they give Tiffany an interesting storyline in which she faces real conflict, then they have her act like an airhead in this stupid gag. They already have Luann, so what do they need another airhead for?

Why doesn’t a MANSION have a stand by automatic generator?

Kymberleigh, Caldonia, and many, many others.

So sad that the segue into a Tiffany arc (which many of us have been wanting) has to begin with Tiffany the airhead.

Nevertheless, I welcome the change of venue.

Let’s blame this on Ann Eiffel`s way to save money?

They just couldn’t resist going back to the Tiffany well, could they? But it’s not just her: have they ever found a gag that doesn’t involve humiliating a character?

And we end the week with a nice joke about Tiffany. This week has been a loosely connected series of gags set during a power outage. In vaudvile terms these would be “blackout” skits set during a blackout. Not my favorite or most interesting week but kudus Mr. Evans, well played.

Someone mentioned the McMansion a few days ago. Well here it is.

So Tiffany is alone in the McMansion. No sleepover companions (of either type), no live in servants, NO FATHER!!! I love the candle in the window in panel 3.

We’ve had the goings on at the DeGroot household for the week. I owner if we’ll be treated to the blackout goings on in other parts of the city. More adventures of Tiffany seem an easy setup. How about at the Gulag! Woohoo. Things might get steamy there. We heard the cross wall talk between Lu and Bern at night, I wonder if the sequence could be repeated at the Gulag? And where is Dez holed up? Or Bernice for that matter? What about Toni and TJ? I wouldn’t trust TJ with a candle…

Oh well. None of this will be explored. We’ll be off somewhere new next week. C’est la vie said the old folks. Goes to show you never can tell…

This episode with Tiff, along with the garden soire with Dez, is showing her at her worst pre Ann Eiffel days.

I have said many times here, Greg’s characters always revert to norm! And the “norm” is how they were in middle- to high-school.

Hahahahahah, I love Tiffany.

She got “ma’amed” and let it pass… She truly is scared.

The water in the hot tub should still stay warm for a while. She may have to call Gunther – naw, he’s probably busy with Alita, the Battle Angel. After a few more hours go by, Howie the stapler guy might start looking good. Or, the chess club guy she snubbed. Who knows who a desperate Tiff might turn to?

Sad but true – we had to get Tiffany into this arc to make it interesting. G & K – please create some star power for Luann!

So much hilarity this week!

Time for all the ghosts of the old mansion to come out! Or maybe Tiffany will call a friend (Gunther perhaps, which has a calming effect on her) and talk to them until the smartphone is dead. See Tiffany’s is truly unexpected. I wonder what she will do now, alone and with wet hair, in her big and kinda scary house. Is finally coming the time she start to miss college and decide to go back?

Tiffany you are not suppose to call 911 if your power goes out, only if you are in danger. It amazes me how many people actually do this and we are told not to call them for this situation.

This is how Tiffany acted in high school. After all she’s been through in college I don’t believe she’d now revert to her old, completely self-centered ways.

What, the Farrell mansion doesn’t have an automatic start generator! Horrors.

Any similarities between this installment of the strip and this week’s episode of the new TV sitcom, Mister Mayor were probably not intentional. But they are similar.

Life under Biden and the New Green Deal.

The problem with television is that the number of commercials per program keeps increasing. Networks claim is is because costs keep rising. Now….as the number of commercials rise…the amount of programming DECREASES, therefore the cost to produce that program should decrease. There used to be a regulation of the ratio of programs to commercials. Guess that went out the windows.Have you ever watched a program and after all the continued commercials, you forgot what the program was? Networks are desperate for original programming. How many “Housewives of..” are there? How many “Gold Fever” programs are there? Reboots of old series?

When the REAL mess goes down, she won’t have half a chance..

We all have different standards of what danger is, of course, but lack of hair dryers, hot tubs or TVs is rarely life threatening and definitely not in this case…..

Aha! Will we see how the rest of Pitts is faring in the blackout, house by house? Tom must be on another trip. It probably is scary being alone in the mansion. Will someone come over or do we go to the gulag to see how they’re doing?

Sadly, people actually do make these types of calls to 9-1-1.

It is nice to see Tiffany again. She has no real problems so she can complain about minor things. Glad to see her without evil Ann in her life.

Well, all the humility that we thought Tiff had acquired during the Ann Eiffel era has now vanished along with Ann, and the self-centered, entitled diva we used to despise has returned full-bore, presumably along with her allowance. And here I thought La Tiff was making progress as a human being.

Who will she call next?

Ya’ll know, of course, that this is misuse of the 9-1-1 system.It is, in most cases, a misdemeanor, although it some places it could be a felony. It shouldn’t be taken as a joke, even in a comic strip!I’ve read about people calling 9-1-1 for incorrect burger orders, false claims of some folks “waving a gun” — which was actually holstered and in possession of a licensed security guard with a CC permit.

Tiffany, alone and in the dark, just coming out of the shower and needing someone to comfort her, so what is your first thought? “Where did Tiff get those matches and candles, she could burn the house down?”

People can die while you are whining on the emergency line.

I might be freaking out too if I was alone in that dark cavernous mansion. Tiff…close off into one space with everything you need or go over to the Gulag and hang out with Gunther and Les.

Bet a lot of people are in the same boat as Tiffany.

How many of the people complaining that the Ferrell house has no back-up generators have back-up generators of their own? I know some of you do. But I suspect most of you don’t. It’s an expense that’s not necessary in most cases because the power is so reliable.

Step closer to the window, Tiff, so the rescuers can better see what you’re.not wearing.

Just remember just because I don’t care, doesn’t mean I don’t understand.

I susspect the intent here was that we focus on Tiffany’s self-centered foolishness, but I must say that I feel considerable sympathy for her plight. She may not articulate her fears well, but she is alone in a big mansion and without the creature comforts she has relied upon. Maybe it’s not an obvious cops/ambulance kind of 911 call, but her psychological state is clearly fragile: she needs counseling, or at least some sympathetic reassurance from the 911 operator (though some recent cases have not reflected well on the operators)….

Judgmentalism is so rife here, and never being happy even when an arc changes to what so many have been whining is not in the strip. Why not just one gag strips? Ziggy is very good. This is not that. No big tome, but reading the better than 50% of the usual comments helps define trollism pristinely

Stop using up your phone’s battery! Never know when you’ll be able to recharge it :o
