It’s called " crazy cat lady " for a reason

Her tolerance levels change about as quickly as the petals are being pulled off.

With me it’s the other way around…I tolerate it, I tolerate it not. It would make no difference to me if a cat tolerated me, or seemed to, or did not tolerate me.

First mistake – calling it ownership

It’s a relationship between a pack animal (human) and a non-pack animal who doesn’t need approval BUT can become deeply attached. The latest one who adopted me would sit by the door & meow when I was gone. Now he’ll go to DH.ButMy cats have always adopted me, and know the rigors of human-less life.

You don’t own cats, cats own you. Or to put t another way: if you feed a dog, the dog thinks you are god; if you feed a cat, the cat knows it’s a god.

For a long while I have believed that our pet’s TRAIN US, we don’t train them. When Fido barks we jump because WE’RE trained to know “If we don’t go for a walk there’s going to be do-do on the floor”.

Do husbands also do the same thing? Asking for a friend.

Dogs are thrilled to be around us. Cats grace us with their presence.

The reality is that you do not own the cat.

Cats remind us of what life and love is about — appreciation of another for itself and its uniqueness and not just for its willingness to please us.

Cats are CRAZY about their humans. They just act more like humans than dogs do. Do you love your family? Yes. Does that mean you want to be next to them 24 hours a day? No.

I don’t have a problem letting cats think they’re in charge, and just go along. It amuses me…

And the answer changes about as quickly as she can pluck the petals.

My cats never sulk (except for a few minutes after being medicated) and are always glad to see me, which is more than I could say for my second wife. :)

Dogs have owners; cats have staff.

I’ve had cats my whole life and am in complete disagreement with the bad rap they get. They are the sweetest, most loving, purring, huggable creatures in the world if they are raised with love, affection and plenty of attention payed to them.

Cats merely do not have the muscles andmeans of moving their “Eye brow”s to form expressions we interpret as feelings as dogs do…It’s all in your anthropomorphic minds pilgrims….

I like cats, but I love dogs.

We had a couple of cats when our kids were kids. They always seemed too needy. Every time I’d sit down they would be right there, sitting on my lap, rubbing against my legs. Very uncomfortable!

If you have one cat you’re, well, that guy with the cat. If you have two, well, the second is just a buddy for the first. If you have three, well, you’re borderline crazy cat guy.I have four. And they are a real solace in these times. This may be true for some, but I know my cats love me. Whenever I sit in the recliner, one of my cats (sometimes both) is in my lap within seconds.

I would like to add that if you have a cat, you need to have a good supply of Cortisone 1%, and bandages. Even a sweet, loving cat can turn on you without warning.

What a pussy.

If its’ master dies a dog will starve protecting the body, a cat will start to eat the body before it gets cold.

But the reality of ‘cat ownership’ is that cat’s aren’t ‘owned’. They allow us the privilege of their living with us.

Both my adopted rescue dogs are snuggled up to me….

This comic is so fake! If a cat really lived there, the vase and frames would be knocked over, and the plant would be shredded.

I have always loved cats (as well as most animals). When I was younger, I destained dogs for their neediness and dependence and admired cats for having opposite qualities. But, the kitty I loved the most was the one most devoted to me. Now, as I’m older, my true love is my dog (first one). I have a kitty too, she tolerates the dog and me. FYI, boy cats and girl dogs make the most satisfying pets.

That should be punctuated as Cat: Ownership.

Because we all know who owns Who.

The cat artwork on the wall pegged me. I have fine original cat artwork and photographs (not to mention some lovely landscapes.)

There are two ways to decorate your house with original artworks. One is to go out and attend lots of art openings and spend money buying what you like. The other way is to spend forty years creating exactly the artwork you want. That’s the way I did it. :)
