I like Natasha’s idea. Where can I find an ice cream sandwich that is big enough?

Cat fur, however, is a staple in my house.

I miss ice cream sammies. I miss ice cream. I am allergic to milk in my ‘old age’. Not the lactose, not the A2 protein, something else in anything milk. :( I can eat a bit of cheese, a bit of butter, have milk products if it’s baked in something. *sigh… Oat-Ly makes a great oat milk ice cream substitute though since I also can’t have anything nuts… Awww Nuts! Now I want an ice cream sammie!! I’ll just stick to my Planet OakMilk and cereal.

That plan sounds like a dream come true to me!

Layering maple walnut ice cream between two very thin “Kavli” rye crackers makes for a nice ice cream sandwich.

A cool bed would be a wonderful thing here right now—it’ll be a week before I can retrieve my bedroom window a/c from winter storage in Partner’s shed and this early summer heat wave is making me very unhappy!

The lab mice are shaved and lipstick is applied to their skin, not their lips. Not even as much fun as it sounds.

I have never liked ice cream sandwiches. When I was about 6, I used to visit the retired couple who lived across the street, and they’d always make a big deal about giving me a wonderful treat – an ice cream sandwich! I didn’t have the heart to tell them I didn’t like them, though, so I just ate them and pretended to like them.

I mean, soggy cookies around bland ice cream – bleh! To each their own.

Well, in St. Louis, it is undoubtedly ice-cream weather. Although you have to eat it quickly, any ice cream you find cannot stand up to the 100’ heat we have been having.

Natasha’s got it right!! Go big or go home! Dining on your dessert divan… That IS living large.

Eventually you have to get off the the ice cream sandwich. Good cold weather idea though.

Saw something like that once. Didn’t work out too well, the ice cream melted really fast.

I once worked for a small private school that gave everyone ice cream sandwiches at the end of the day when a student had a birthday!

How did they end up with lab rats, and why are said rats not kitty snacks? Or at least kitty toys?

Pro tip: If you put your ice cream sandwich on a banana peel, it makes the perfect hammock for napping while you eat!
