Okay … I must be really tired, because I thought Ora Z just asked Puck to hold her like a “baby hamburger” … time for bed!

I love today’s strip. Puck brings out the best in her, and Lupin brings out the worst in him.

Puck seems to have that effect on everyone. The real-life pics of Pucky and then-baby Lupin, Lupin asleep with his paws in the air and Pucky apparently washing his face, are so adorable!

Little girl kitty all curled up next to Puck in her footie jammies is melting my heart!

Torties can be calm and dignified. When they’re asleep. And Puck is a calming influence. Momcats often are.

She’s a pushy little thing. (So’s Monroe.) What’s funny is that Elvis doesn’t look hacked off in the final panel.

Awww so Puck’s going to be her primary mom. I do agree with Elvis this is both suprising.. and the first time we haven’t seen the little lady ready to burn them burn them all. It’s a nice moment of vunerablity. Shame she’ll probably try to stab burt, goldie and elvis with at trident for letting this air.

Yes, fly high, crash hard, or whatever the expression is. Again Puck gets to show what a great nurturer he is, and Elvis seems to be warming to the kittens as well, I think. In a dignified way, of course.

Fun OT:

My fave panel today is the first one. Pirate cat and Lupin have matching faces and smiles and positions. Their tails, although very dissimilar, are in the same position. Lil black and white kitty looks so happy with a new friend!

Ah the exuberance of youth. Racing around like a crazed cat one minute, sleeping like a lazy lion the next.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Catmom. I join others here in saying you did the right thing and gave her a beautiful life; I’m sure you know that but it doesn’t help much in the moment….

Adobe Style: We do have some idea who supplies the material, but there’s no telling. Although sometimes it comes from unexpected sources.

Ora Z: Between Iggy and Lupinium, I think you’ll have plenty for your sculptures.

I cant recall. Did the real life Lupin and Iggy get to interact?

Looks like integration is going well and nobody hissed or swatted anyone!

Am I the only one who noticed that Elvis and Goldie appear to be wearing matching pyjamas? Also, it’s nice to see the interaction between Lupin and Iggy and Puck with Ora Zella.

OMC! Puck and Ora Zella are so cute and sweet. Puck truly is Mom Cat. And I didn’t guess that Iggy would be the one for mischief. He was so quiet! They both finally feel safe.

Awe! It’s what our Moosie does with foster kittens. This time, though, we have the mama cat and I can’t let him in there.He certainly tries to go in. I have to put him and Blackjack in another room when I open the door to the kitten room.They’re coming up on five weeks. They’re eating food, using the litter box and spending more time playing. Mama spends a lot of time up on the cat tree watching them. I’ve been thinking about taking Moose in for a little nose to nose thing to see how it goes.

She’s gone to the right cat for food requests.

Now Lupin can claim “It wasn’t me. It was the one eyed cat!”

Making up for lost time.

The final panel reminds me of the TEN CATS legend when Chesney saved baby Oliver’s life by wrapping his warm self around the wet, freezing kitten, before eventually being rescued by Annie.

Pucky the werewolf tamer

AWWWW!

Kittens play hard but when they finally sleep, they sleep hard. You can often see their little bodies twitching and jerking as they process the days learning in REM sleep.

Some kittens go at it so hard, they are known to fall asleep in a food dish. Finding a safe place to sleep, recognizing your fatigue and getting there before you pass out are all on the “To Learn” list for kittens.

OT: Sad news

“Hold me like a baby and feed me a hamburger” could have been said by Bartholomew A. Cat. In fact, I’m pretty sure it has been.

She’s still a baby that needs to be held.
