Sunday, Fun day: Good news, jokes and other fun stuff to get us all through the week.

Thank you, Sophie! Goldie, get off the table.

Wish I could blow up the image more.

I see Sir Figaro and Tabitha in the top floor living room.

I see Goldie on the kitchen table, Lupin Iggy and Elvis in the second floor living room, Pengo on a bed and Pucky on another bed, possibly next to Ora Zella.

I might see Sophie on a chair or something downstairs, and Tommy on a sofa in the purple room of the addition.

Excellent, Sophie! I’m glad to see the purple paw print paper remains on the walls!

I don’t see a new second nursery!

It looks as though Tabitha and Sir Fig live next door to the ghosts in the part of the attic that has The Chest Of Doom and Old Clothes, rather than under it.

So for the Europeans amongst us:

Thomas & Sophie live on the Ground Floor.

Lupin & the gang live on the First Floor.

Tabitha & Sir Figaro live on the Second, or Top, Floor.

Tommy should know it’s always good to have a station artist around.

And Lupin leaps right in the middle of things.

So the wing which was opened recently goes the whole height of the house and basically provides extra bedrooms, is that correct? Is the new wing next to the numbers or the other side? And Dr Mann and his turtle used to live where Tommy and Sophie live now, is that correct?

Sophie has included the cuckoo clock, and at lease one owl lamp survives. I think The Girl’s fox is atop the nursery headboard. Sadly, no plants in macramé.

Nowwaitsaminute. Them numbering is all wrong. Obviously you cats is not as smart as bears, eh Sophie. See, from your drawing it especially evident that Tommy and co lives on GROUND floor, Elvis and co lives on FIRST floor and them El Gatos lives on SECOND floor. And there is no third floor on that building. See, cat, Basement is not 0 because it is -1 floor as ground is 0.

Pesky harbingers of plague in the walls when there is ten cats in the building? Oh the shame! Me local cats is does face palm with their paws if they comes to knows of this.

Oh no. A mice infestation. Calls the pest control! Calls the exterminator!

Agnes and Violet are watching TV in the laundry room. Alice and Natasha are atop some boxes in the basement. None of the cats can visit them except by sliding down the laundry chute.

Time to leave the Orb and go change all the clocks. Why did I volunteer to get to Mass early?

We’ve sprung forward already. Many of our clocks set themselves, a few don’t. We just have to do the car clock.

Now, it’s time for our bodies to be confused and our lives out of kilter with the change. I’m glad the live sumo feed is still early o-dark-hundred. I’m unaffected for that. Yup, it’s that time of year: every two months is another tournament. Monroe prefers classic wrestling. He was doing it to the bath mat earlier.

Happy BCN Origination Day!!!!! On this day in 2014, the first BCN web comic (“Everything is broken”) was posted.

(Note: On GoComics, if you go back to the start, it will send you back to an alleged January 1, 2010 strip. This is a coding error by GoComics. The strip did not exist in 2010 and the “bacon strip” that is shown actually comes from April 2, 2017. But I digress…)

Georgia’s first self-published BCN strip was posted on March 12, 2014. Since then, BCN has gone from being a web comic on its own page, to being part of the GoComics line-up (in October of 2014), to being a daily newspaper strip (in 2017)—and it has now generated six books (with a seventh on the way!), multiple calendars, and a wide range of wonderful items (such as mugs, cards, ornaments, t-shirts and magnets) available for purchase on Zazzle.

It is well worth a read (although, if you are a big softie like me, you will want to have the tissues handy). It is scary to think how close we all came to never getting to meet Elvis, Puck, Lupin & the rest of the gang. And our world would have been a harsher place.

But let’s not dwell on that. Instead, this is a day for celebration: Nine Years of BCN!!!! Here is to 50 more!

will we be getting top down views of each floor? is there a lift for the top floor or did the Spanish gatos have to carry everything up three flights of stairs?

New assignment for Sophie…now do the same thing for the other half of the house! There actually are doll houses that hinge open to display and allow play with twice as many rooms.

There is the beautiful purple wallpaper on the first floor, in the right wing!

I see the hammock in the first floor living room, and that looks like a pink diner-style kitchen table. It seems the teal refrigerator and the cupboards have a 1950s style as well…

I don’t know how Georgia can create such beautiful artwork and tell such wonderful stories everyday.

Very nice. Brings back so many memories of adventures shown in past strips.

I’m still a little confused. Is the third floor apt smaller? It looks like it has attic instead of another room on one end. How many bedrooms are in each unit? I assume there are more rooms in each than we see in this cross section.

I love the ground floor kitchen! My grandparents had a table like that.

And the house is built into a hill. That’s how the BCN cats can look out the windows on one side at ground level.

OT: Today is Starlord’s gotcha day! 1 year ago this sassy but cuddly boy entered my life. So happy we chose each othert.

Beautifully drawn and incredibly helpful! I am bookmarking this for future reference. I do hope this means we get to see more, we have thus far seen little of the Ceiling Cats’ apartment or the first floor.

Wow! This is wonderful.

This is great! Now I know where everyone lives and the layout of the house. I have a laundry chute as well~

In “Babar and Father Christmas” de Brunhof the Younger drew a very nice picture of the underground village where Santa and the elves live. It’s similar to what Sophie drew. Richard Scarry wasn’t the first.

It looks like Lady Jane’s/Sophie’s bureau has made it to the “new” attic.

Yeah, where’s the entrance hall Elvis ran out of years ago? That looked a straight out from the second floor to the outside. And wasn’t there a previous image that showed a hillside with the second floor even with the top of the hillside? Not to mention another strip with a shot of the postman right outside Puck’s favorite window.

OMC, I zoomed in to see if there were any ghost kitties in the attic and just saw Freddie’s portrait! Such detail!

Is this pre addition opening up?

Still trying to figure out which mice are where. It’s so small, but I’m leaning towards Alice and Natasha on the boxes, and Agnes and Violet watching TV in the laundry room. But I suppose no one will see this (since it is now Tuesday), so I probably won’t get any responses. I know other people were talking about which mouse was which earlier, so will have to go back and read the comments again, I guess, to see what other people thought.

This can’t be accurate on the top and first floors there’s no bedroom, on the second there’s only a bedroom for the adults in the addition which they didn’t have before.
