Raccoons welcome in a hen house. Never.

I have a feeling raccoon kits might be a bit more exhausting than kittens, but I think they’ve come to the right chicken coop! And Baba does owe Mags a favor!

They’re going to be cooped up…

Allies fighting off invaders.

They’re in the right place. Things are escalating geometrically.

Well them raccoons is sure yellow and now they is chicken too. No wonder they is runs away without fight.

I seem to remember Baba and Mags used to be friends before a certain Wicket came between them. There’s nothing like an old friend when you’re in trouble – may be the start of a reconciliation.?

I wonder who will get word to Puck that the Mags and the little ones are safe.

It’s 20 after 3 where I am right now, and I’m getting ready for work. I see a lotta comments on this page already. Just curious how many are up early or up late! Or are these all European/Asian/Oceania folk?

The moles keep digging themselves in deeper and deeper. I’ve lost count of the number of times they done f….ed up. And now they’ve gotten Baba Mouse involved. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

The morning sky is beautiful, and, is this the first time we’ve seen the exterior of Baba’s house? I love it – suits her!

Poor worried Pucky! I guess Mag is cashing in that favor Baba Mouse owes her from a couple of years ago (Georgia does play a long game).

Will do what they can to assist in the fight

Mags is taking the kits where she knows

They’ll be safe, she’ll see how everything goes!

One minute the dumpster stood!

But the moles were up to no good!

Now the raccoons regroup in the wild!

The fight is coming, beware the gang is now riled!

I hear Queen Mags at the hen house knocking!

The moles may be laughing and mocking!

But those poor souls don’t have a clue

Of what the feisty Baba can do!

And somehow I know the war is won!

And all will be well thanks to Georgia Dunn!

And that is my honest word

Those moles do not rule the world!

Baba, the racoons have come to your chicken coop, to roost!

Whatever their issues, I cannot see these two magnificent matriarchs as anything other than united when kits are at risk. Baba is not going to be pleased about this situation!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Thomios: Thanks for helping us on the trip, Vann.

Vann Camel: No problem. Every day is hump day for Kara and me.

Kara: I always enjoy staying at the Midnight Oasis. It’s a great place to bed down.

Thomios: Have you seen Lupinium?

Kara: Yes. He’s over at the horse stable. Avenger is giving him a lift to the Cosmo Nursery.

Thomios: That’s right. He wants to plant his pink Blossom of Blessing there.

At the Horse Stable

Lupinium: Thanks for the lift to the Cosmo Nursery, Avenger.

Noble Steed Avenger: Glad to do it. I see you still have a touch of pink in your fur.

Lupinium: Yes. Ora Z were making pizza sauce, and things got slightly out of paw.

Diana, Avenger and Emma’s filly: I think you look pretty in pink, Uncle Loopy.

Lupinium: Thank you, my dear. Your daddy and I will bring back some pretty plants for you.

Diana: Can you teach me some more jumping tricks when you get back?

Emma: And try to be careful.

Lupinium: I’ll be as careful as always.

Emma: That is so reassuring.

Guess what?, Chicken Hut!

I think the moles are going to be in a great deal of trouble.

Smudge, Mouse and the kittens all had an attack of the zoomies at the same time this morning. If they were cars, I’d be in traction.

I’m beginning to wonder if there is some sort of subtle Russia/Ukraine commentary going on in how this arc is playing out.

Baba’s Airbnb is now open for business.

Ah yes, place the little one’s out of harms way, sharpen the claws of war and then go and wipe out the mole army. The battle plan is forming.

Now I’m worried about BaBa’s chicken coop. I don’t believe the moles will honor borders.

Baba Mouse will teach those wicked moles a lesson.

If Baba is going to care for and protect the kits, I don’t think she will be directly involved with the fight against the moles. Time and Georgia will tell …

The coop isn’t far from the BPH. Hopefully it will survive the mole invasion.

Say, isn’t that where Baba Mouse lives?

Save the raccoons!

I would trust Baba with my most precious things. That lady is going to make the moles regret burrowing in that yard.

I think that the raccoons are going to be an important element in the solution to the mole invasion.

I expect Baba and Mags are going to give the moles a real wake-up call. I almost pity the moles. Almost.

Have we seen the inside of the chicken coop? Or was that the barn? The coop looks kind of small for Baba Mouse and all the hens.

I just realized, Baba’s hut is not a hut on chicken legs, but a chicken hut on legs.

(OK, I’ll back away from the computer, now.)

The news tonight showed video from a traffic cam of police officers near Cleveland helping a raccoon with a mayo jar stuck on its head. It’s been a bad week for raccoons everywhere!

Ahhh, not the chickens!

I can’t wait to see Baba’s face when she opens the door.
