I’m wondering if that is Burt in the distance. certainly a gorgeous kitty like Burly Burt. Meanwhile, Jules is doing the superhero thing.

Jules is on a mission, rallying the allies, possibly for a counter offensive!

Intrigue as jules goes to get our racoons some help from. beef and I forgot her name? Wait what? These two?

Oh wow! So beautiful!

Each panel’s just epic! And I thought nothing could rival the gorgeous night skies. Just… wow! We are not worthy!

Thimblefist and Homestyle are just the beginning. Jules is gathering the troops. Opossums and maybe sloths. All the denizens of the forest.

Now I really want to know what a snoring chipmunk sounds like!

The thing in panel 1 that looked to me like googly eyes with a hat is actually (turns to the previous strip) the crow (raven?) with a ruff. I can’t remember their name.

Lupinium: Hi, Trev. I’ve come to plant this pink Blossom of Blessing Ora Z gave me.

Trevor-Hotep: I see you’re still a bit pink too.

Lupinium: That’s right. I’ve been working in Thomios’s kitchen to develop new tomato recipes.

Trev: Great. I’ve been working on some new varieties of tomatoes.

Lupinium: I’ll bet Floofnet the Joyous’ culinary school could do with some. It’s salad season.

Trev: I think they already have some. Not sure how they got there, though.

Violet-Ifa: I’ll never tell!

Lupinium: Anyway, got any new flowers? Whether magical or not.

Trev: Yes. I’ve got some daffy daffodils blooming.

Lupinium: Just the thing. I could use them in my tumbling act.

Trev: And some singing chrysanthemums.

Lupinium: They’re sure not to stay mum.

On a MeTV Popeye anniversary special the other day, they told us that Popeye started out in a comic called Thimble Theater. Which made me think of Thimblefist, and got me wondering what, if any, parallels can be drawn between Popeye and Olive Oyl, and Thimblefist and HomeStyle.

I’m looking forward to learning more about these two.

Jules and his flying everywhere is going to help immensely. I hope.

In the first panel, if I’m reading it right, I think it’s so cute and clever how the Z’s turn into a question mark.

I am thinking Jules is on a mission. The raccoons are not alone in their fight against the moles.

The animals that live in cans reminds me of the fifties when people with polio had to live in an iron lung.

If I had the money, I would commission Georgia for a watercolor painting for our home. It would be a sunrise or sunset over a tranquil meadow, but the final choice would be the artists. No people, no technology, just nature. I see a lot of Impressionism in Georgia’s work, especially hints of Claude Monet. However, she does not try to replicate the Master; Georgia’s vision is always her own.

Rare sighting of BCN strip without speech! All the easier to enjoy the lovely sunrise, and spot Burt sunning like a mermaid on the wall, and see flowers in the sunrays in HomeStyle and Thimblefist’s tree.

Such pretty landscapes and lighting today! Amazing how Georgia controls her watercolors for exactly the right shading.

I’m so glad to see Homestyle and Thimblefist again! Georgia is always full of surprises.

Just one concern: Back in the day when Mags was a young princess, she captured Jules and tried him for violating the Raccoon/Opossum treaty. I hope he is able to forgive.
