I really fail to see how Luann having coffee with a bunch of different guys she knows, is good for an experiment. Maybe if it was with strangers, it would have more validity.

This just gets weirder since Bernice is setting up one-on-one encounter with people Luann already knows. First she had implied it would be a group meeting, and now it’s one on one. What purpose does this achieve? But Luann notes that Piro is no involved, which brings the plot back to the Writing assignment. And Luann makes a very valid point: Is Bernice just spying on her?

Maybe Luann should get together with Kip and talk about friends who can’t stop voyeuring.

About the only guy in the group Luann hasn’t spent much time with is Nil.

Luann has been sharing her attempts with Piro to Bernice. Nothing new will be learned if piro was invited to the experiment.

Mrs Horner and the blue hair brigade practiced it watching Nil and Bern make out in the park (and Nil seemed to like the concept while Bern was embarrased). You did it as well at Casa Farrell taking turns watching Kip in the pool with the binoculars. Plus you must know that Bernice eavedrops as well as demonstrated in the Tara/Stella situation. Bern probably also listened in to Luann, Tara and Walt discuss skydiving…..

I don’t get it, they are both in collage right ! I have not seen them with a boyfriend in years, a real boyfriend, all they do is look but don’t go after, seems to me they really are not even trying.

I think I know what Bernice needs, but not much chance of getting it by acting so snarky.

Luann talking to Gunther could potentially have her feeling sympathetic to Gunther’s breakup and maybe spark something between the two again.

This is the first time Bernice has stated the format of the meetings. There was no indication before today that they would meet in a group or individually.

We have no idea what type of data Bernice is looking for. I’d be very surprised if it was merely how Luann reacts to men she has known for years.

This could actually be a good arc, however G&K will probably make it fizzle out due to poor, lazy writing. The “Bets and Gun” book is, unfortunately, rather disappointing. At least it wasn’t that expensive.

At least Bernice is working on her assignment. It seems Luann hasn’t started on hers, although she’s had numerous possible topics in the past week, including this project and possible fiasco.

I’m confused … Do the guys know that they are participating in this project?

Well, they’ve really lost me this time. I don’t understand why G&K would want to show Bernice and Luann spending day after day sitting at the kitchen table discussing Bernice’s’ psyche project. Oh wait….it’s another exercise in “seriously boring”, I get it.

What a bizarre experiment. First it was have coffee with a group of guys, now it is individuals. And these are all friends of Luann. What is the point of this? Bernice should have enough results from observing Luann interact with one or two of them. This is only an undergrad Psych class, most likely on observing behavior. Bernice is going above and beyond what is most likely required for the assignment.

Why, again, is Luann still friends with this toxic mess known as Bernice?

Next week -Monday thru Friday -one day for each guy. Then Bernice’s report on Saturday?

Sunday: Brad and Toni fight a fire! (in the kitchen!)

Five guys. Each will get a week-long “story arc”. Three or four of them will have nothing to say to Luann. And Luann will have nothing to say to any of them.Then Luann and Bern will talk about it for a couple of weeks.

Should be a fascinating couple of months ahead.

(Enough to make readers forget about that purported skydiving adventure.)

Bern is disguising her extreme competitiveness for guys as a psychology project. She messed up her chances for Piro but still doesn’t want Luann to have him so she’s doing her best to set Luann up with someone else all disguised as some class assignment………….is what I’m thinking here.

I agree with Ivlax, this experiment makes zero sense since Luann knows these guys.

How is that? Gunther is keeping his breakup with Bets secret. So How would B “know” that he’s available for “coffee with Luann”?

And… how far away exactly is she going to park herself? If she’s close enough to listen in on their conversations, wouldn’t that be really suspicious? If she’s far enough away to “observe” them unnoticed, what is she picking up on, their expressions and body language?

I wouldn’t put it past her to “sneak” a bug in Luann’s purse without consent. Par for the course with B.
