Tiny Hiss indeed. We’ve all been there. Climbing the walls all day, literally, and then you’re so tired you forget EVERYTHING! Do Torties have AAA? Perhaps E.A.T.? Emergency Assistance for Torties!
Well, at least she’s going down heinie first, which is he correct orientation for descending. And she’s not too proud to ask for help. I’m just not sure Elvis is the right cat for the job.
After he broadcasts his investigation of the danger of shelves, I foresee Elvis giving one of his in-depth reports on predictable and preventable events.
I’m trying to imagine when both Baba Mouse and Goldie were Ora Zella’s age, and getting stuck in a high spot, and what they learned from the experience. We know that when Beatrix got stuck in the tree, and was rescued by the mailman -she learned no more trees! - but somehow I think Ora Zella’s takeaway will be very different.
Reckless courage tempered with maturity and experience … hmmm … I’m can see Ora Z as a budding version of Chris Hadfield, becoming the first cat in space, looking telling young aspiring kittens about the first time she was stuck in a high place, and telling them, “Yes, I was scared, but I learned from it, and went someplace even higher!”
When I first got my Kiki as a kitten, she didn’t think I was good for much. I remember the day everything changed. She got stuck atop a bookcase and panicked. After I lifted her down, she decided I was OK, and would cuddle with me and meow to ask for things. Now she’s a “Velcro cat.”
I have scars from when Waffle decided he wanted to climb the tree like 8-ball did. He couldn’t climb down the tree, but he could climb down me. 8-ball gave him a look like, “Geez, kid, you’re hopeless.” Waffle never climbed a tree again.

Quite a sophisticated vocabulary she has there. Elvis, on the other paw, has only to say ‘I told you so’

Oh no! Who can help?
Puck to the Rescue? Climbing the frame could prove more challenging without a second anchor foot.
We know it isn’t going to be Dad Cat! He’s vertically challenged.
Lupin is more a master of chaos, not assistance.
Perhaps a new champion will emerge, the Robber Mice ? No, they would be wary of this lil’ Fire Cat.
Could it be her forever pal, IGGY ?!?
Maybe it would be Burt. Using his remote DRONE Camera to give a lift and escort to the little gal from the frame.
Well, we know one thing, after the rescue, she’ll forget the contemplated mortality, and go right back to danger ranger school.

You should have listened to Elvis though. You have to face the “cat-sequences” now.

From Wicked (Not to be confused with Wicket): Defying Gravity
Something has changed in climbing
Something is not the same
I’ve never played by anyone’s rules
I’ve always played my own game!
…….
Too late for second guessing
Too late for “I told you so”
This is the result of my actions
But I don’t want to let go!
…….
It’s because I’ve been Defying Gravity!
I know I’ve been Defying Gravity!
I had to try Defying Gravity!
Now how do I get down?
…….
I’ve never accepted limits
And Elvis says “I told you so!”
Some consequences will never change
I had to try, and now I know!
…….
I’ve never been afraid
I still have love, nothing lost
All the friends I love, they love me at any cost!
…….
I had to try Defying Gravity!
I know I’ve been Defying Gravity!
I had to try Defying Gravity!
Now how do I get down?
…….
Unlimited, my future is unlimited!
But right now I want to get down!
I love you all, will someone help me
To get down?

It’s a little bit funny
After being so wired
She’s not one of those who gets easily tired
She don’t have no money, but boy if she did
She’d call a Lyft ride ’cause she wants to live
Elvis can tell everybody
What Ora did wrong
It may be quite simple, but
Now that she’s done
She hope he don’t mind
She hopes he don’t mind about pain he’s endured
A wonderful life is while they’re both in the world
So excuse her forgettin’
It’s easy to do
You see she’s forgotten
The gettin’ down part she once knew
Anyway, the thing is, after all the fun that occurred
Hers are the saddest pleas we’ve ever heard
And you can tell everybody
Ora is strong
She may be quite nimble, but
Where she don’t belong
She hopes you don’t mind
She hopes you don’t mind she’s a busy li’l girl
How wonderful life is while she’s in the world

Every time I look at that last panel, I want to see a cat version of MythBusters, only with Ora Zella as a furry incarnation of Adam Savage.
Do cats always land on their feet?
Will rubbing butter on their paws help them find their way home?
Do they see perfectly in total darkness?
