Knowing how Calvin is for details, I am wondering how detailed the front of that snowman is?

I presume we’re looking at the back of the snowman because of the detail Calvin put in the front?

Future generations will have a whole new language and be scratching their heads on what it means. Just like use trying to figure out ancient writings on walls.

The future generation had better get here before Spring.

Reminds me of my neighbour who was going to art school. Each student was given a large block of styrofoam to sculpt. She went into it (she said) with no plans or drawings. Showed me the finished product. To me it looked like a naked behind of someone kneeling on a floor. “That’s on you! I never thought of that!” Oh yes she did—subliminally. Everyone who saw it said it looked like a butt.

I’d never considered this before, but if a snowman had a behind, wouldn’t it be between the middle and bottom ball of snow? I mean, it the panel is correct, where exactly WOULD the anatomically correct organ in the front be? (Shudder)

Lots of low level comments today. Wonder if this arc drew the same kind in ‘95? Probably. By then the ’nitty gritty’ was the substance of many conversations, movies. and some tv shows.

Are we viewing this one from behind because Calvin put something on the front as well? Another carrot perhaps? (I hope he chopped it in half if so; wouldn’t do to get the kids’ hopes up.)

Love the visible butt crack there. But it’s not as funny as Calvin’s recreation of “Nude Descending a Staircase” in the November 3, 1993 strip…

I have 4 sick in our home, I don’t drive, and it’s below zero outside. But we have power (so heating & cooking), and blankets & medicine. We Have It ALL!!
