Who’s on first?

I was underwhelmed by Brad’s gift to Luann and his gift to his mother likewise misses the mark. What he should have said was: “My Mom is the G.O.A.T. — Greatest of All Time.”

I was thinking just the other day what Christmas needs this year is more palindrome jokes.

Luann’s last comment was pretty sharp.

Brad, your “slogans” are confusing. Don’t ever consider running for a political position. Nobody will understand your slogans, less vote for you.

Well G & K have been merciless picking on Luann. So now Brad takes a turn. What an image – Brad all smiles and Nancy with a WTF expression on her face.

1961 turned upside down was still 1961. That palindrome won’t occur again until 8008!

It’s the thought that counts. Always remember that as you “lose” that generous gift deep within your dresser drawers to forget about it forever. I’ve made gifting flubs myself. Guilty as charged

I remember Mike Douglas introducing Moms Mabley by pointing out first that Mom backwards is Mom, then that upside down it’s Wow.

Wonder if the Evanses were watching that day too.

Lame. Not in the slightest amusing.

If it’s the thought that counts, does it still count even when there was no thought put into it?

The only thing Nancy is confused about is what to do with that shirt. Trash or donate? Decisions decisions.

Judging by Brad’s satisfied expression, it was him who chose the phrase, not TJ. Nancy and Toni don’t seem to like it at all. But it’s nice to see Nancy doing him the favor of wearing it at least for Christmas.

Still clueless because once again, he listened to TJ.

Brad sure has a way with words. Nancy is not a confused person, except maybe right now.

Mom upside down is wow might better suit a nightshirt than a t-shirt.

I think it’s safe to say the tees are underwhelming.

A disappointing Christmas

Brad is so proud of his terrible gifts. Though it’s kinda funny: I gave my niece and nephew T-shirts for gifts this year and they absolutely loved them. But that’s because the shirts were directly relevant to one of their current interests (they’re both huge fans of the Percy Jackson TV show, and I gave them each a Camp Half-Blood shirt like the characters on the show wear.) I guarantee that if the shirts I gave were like Brad’s and just had a pithy saying, the kids wouldn’t have been nearly as happy.

The message is not the shirt, but its message, as Marshall McLuhan said once. The message is family love, expressed humorously. I haven’t seen any comments on Bernice, who appears to be sharing Christmas with the DeGroots instead of the Halper’s (sic?). They would have her brother, and as I understand the story, his kids, whom she is auntie too. Plus only four shirts were made, whither gifts from or too: what’s the story G&K with her? I’m not one of the one who hates her, I recognize her.

Brad’s gifts are being received with all the enthusiasm of a pork chop in the Knesset.

And so, Brad’s diabolical plot to never again have to give anybody a Christmas present ended up being a huge success.

Groan- Greg and Karen please move on and come up with something better than this drivel with the tshirts.

The spirit of Christmas is not lost, we’ve just misplaced it.

This is why men (should) give gift certificates for presents.

I am thankful that my brother always gave me gifts that were things I wanted. He usually surprised me with things that I had talked about and hadn’t even realized he was paying close attention. RIP bro, I’d trade all the gifts to have you back.

’You’re loved even when you’re confused’. Doesn’t that describe Brad?

I don’t understand Toni’s role at Christmas. Is Brad in charge of gifting to his family and she gifts to her family? Seems like that’s how it is, because she is taking absolutely no responsibility for these shirts.

Astute commentary by both Toni and Luann. And mercifully, not a peep out of Bernice!
