Congrats to everyone who called it! And… it’s clear that Steph’s got an outgoing personality that’ll give Tiff a run for her money!

I’m sure Kip and Stephani will have many friends that Tiffany can snuggle up to. She’s with her “own” kind now.

This roommate is perfect for Tiffany. She is going to be able to actually see what superficial is, and where her life was headed before being forced to look at life for real. At least as real as she is currently able to.

Just what Tiff needs. A roommate to remind her of high school.

OK, so I was wrong about Kip. But THIS should be interesting… .

Yup, called it, didn’t I? Kip arrived at the room before his girlfriend. Tiffany, what the h3ll? You assumed he was interested in you just because he showed up at your door? It never occurred you to ASK him why he was at your door? Tiffany, you do not go floppy over guys – no guy likes that kind of girl, so please have a backbone and be a strong woman with values, not an airhead who goes after guys.

Oh, my, lots to develop here! Staffani is another Tiffany! They could totally bond, or a more mature Tiffany may see some shallowness and want to grow elsewhere.

Something tells me that if Tiff wants to make a go at Kip, she is going to have to realign those dilithium cristals, tune the plasma manifolds, and hit Warp 10.5.

Also, first impression: Stef might be a dipsy – doodle.

She looks like a rag doll. The number of different drawing styles in this strip is boggling. Imagine having her, Dez (realism) and Bets (Manga) in the same panel.

If she gets out-Tiffed by that stiff she will be miffed and really need a lift.

It’s like Tiff is looking into some Twilight Zone mirror and seeing her past self. Okay, Tiffany, wake up, get out, close the door, and we’ll seal off the building.

Poor Girl! She STILL can’t get a BREAK! Imagine, rooming with an improved version of your former self! DOG? YOU Sir, were right! Karma is literally rooming with Tiff!

But there’s good news, I guess.

1) Stef could be real motivation for Tiffany for self improvement. Perhaps even weight loss. I say that because one of the pics used for Tiffany’s bio shows the old slim Tiffany.A “hint” of things to come?

2) Kip could still introduce Tiff to some handsome running backs. Some that DON’T already have girlfriends, that is.

3) Unfortunately, this could also be good news for (GAG) Les. Tiff could be hanging out more at the Gulag just to get away from her roommate!

Now, Would a jealous Tiffany RAT this bunch out in a moment of anger and frustration?

There was high hopes that Tiffany and Bets would bond over Cynthia Jha’ s book " Tyke to Tycoon. (June 19, 2019 strip). Maybe Stefani has read the book.

Cheerleading is a profession. Colleges offer degree programs. Stefani sounded pragmatic when she suggested that Kip was hitting on her roomie. Maybe her last roommate was hitting on her quarterback boyfriend ? I doubt that Tiffany can compete with Stefani! Tiffany should stick with her entrepreneurship studies.

Ugh. I don’t think I can handle this new roommate, if her head’s going to continue to look this much like a Pez dispenser. What a lame reveal. What a lame week! But at least it wasn’t more Gunther.

Maybe Kip will be TIFF’s Econ study buddy.

Ah there are other pretty cheerleaders in the world who actually are dating quarterbacks. Kudos to those on both forums who foresaw this coming, and she is loaded down with bags! Although being in a dorm she might not be rich, spoiled princess that Tiffany is slowly devolving from. I don’t think this will be too bad actually, this girl may be a lot of fun, and good for Tiffany. Tiffany is being made to face herself, and the real world. That has to be good, if not a bit painful.

So! A new triumvirate has entered the lists. Like Jack, Luann and Tara. And in a school setting, no less.

To make this work Tiff must needs be thrown in with Kip in some way. The book may be the common interest entry key, or maybe some class or Hall A doings. Maybe it will merely be via Kip’s association with Steffi-Bird.

I would like to see an arc where Kip becomes attracted to Tiff as he tires of the air-Bird’s affectations. But, just as likely karma (Greg) will continue to deal from the bottom of the deck with Tiff.

This arc promises to be so bad that many of us may prefer another visit from Ann Eiffel instead!

One: To all the folks who believe Stefani will finally get Tiffany to lose the weight, to quote Argythree: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ (AG3’s standard comment to whenever someone says Gunther is gay) (This is now my standard comment to whenever anyone says Tiffany needs to lose weight)

Two: My main objection here is that a cheerleaders’ competition for the attention of the star (whatever it is Americans play) player plunges this entire strip back into the depths of its adolescent origins. Not a desirable development!

Reminds me of my jock son (now a Senior Director at the company he works for). Women used to stop him in the street to talk to him. I came home one night to find 3 or 4 of his female high school classmates sitting out on our front stoop (apparently waiting their turn!) Must be nice….

They remind me of Brittany and Kevin from Daria. Always in uniform.

Well, this should be interesting. But, why is Kip’s mouth crooked? Maybe all that football gave him a stroke. Head hits, you know.

Kip and Stef both seem nice. Kip is trying to keep a good conversation going despite being hit on, and Stef seems secure and funny.

They can be great friend and allies. If Tiff just goes with the flow and stays as friendly with Stef as she has been intending to be, she’ll wind up with friends-by-association on the cheer squad and invitations to parties with football players, and all of them will help her find an off-dorm location for Tiff As Nails.

If she goes off on a quest to get her a quarterback, not just any quarterback but THIS ONE, life will get miserable fast and she’ll wind up wanting to move home where Ann will be nice to her (relatively).

Read a comment yesterday (can’t remember from who and the list is too long for me to care enough to find it) about how Tiff could get her own man now and blah-blah-blah. Serious tirade. This comment is not a “HA!! Told you so!!” one. It’s an “OUCH!! That to hurt…” one. :/

Now, Tiff will get back in shape.

Aha! One of the possibilities I suggested.

And Stefani is exquisite as a cheerleader! Poor Tiffany is so Over The Hill by comparison. And so it goes. Kip goes with Stefani and Tiff’s latest instant crush is crushed.

But Stefani could be a good roommate for Tiff, posing a challenge to meet and beat!
