(being a guy, I didn’t date that much girls in high school either; just kind of this one from the rival high school, but at least she attended the same church — though separate congregations — as me).

She’s grown past wanting a BF?

Think I’ve seen this particular “Saved By The Bell” episode.

Hasn’t she left yet? God but she’s annoying.

Well she hasn’t grown past being lonesome, if past arcs still mean anything. Just recently she cast eyes upon Kippie Poo and he looked nice!

1) I thought shoog was a nickname Steph gave everyone. The kind that saves you from having to learn names. Now it’s a verb?

2) Ha! Tiffany, it seems someone has picked YOU to be their next project. Let’s see how the shoe fits on the other foot

3) grown past….love? This is the same Tiffany that had a love gazebo and wanted to save Gunther’s love life?

4) I wonder if Tiffany is still battling some depression. I don’t know if anyone is ever cured….Why doesn’t she take interest in dating anymore?

5) I remember thinking that Tiffany was putting on an act all through out highschool about how comfortable she was dating. I can’t remember her EVER dating!

You think you know Tiff? No, Stef. You don’t at all. Back in high school, all she had to do is bat an eye and boys flocked to her. She was even an ambassador known as Tiffany Saint (I believe I’ve forgotten the name…) and starred in a movie. Have you? Nah. Doubtful. Your life goal is bagging a quarterback and marrying him. The same goal as high school. As Tiff said, she’s moved past all that. Don’t feel sorry for her. She is happy where she is, making her own life, paying for her college, building herself up. It’s been hard. I will be very upset if YOU manage to bring her down, back her back to the old Tiff. You will get a backlash of irate fans. Leave our Tiff alone.

Tif should take up “Shoog’s” challenge, get back to her old figure, and lure Kip just far enough away from from “Shoog” to teach her a lesson.

Grown all past that? So no more many dates with many boys? Is she implying she’ looking for the one boy? And who do you think that might be? Who’s Tiffany’s dreamboy!

Also, every timE I read Shoog, I of the ‘oo’ sound first -as in ‘moo’. Lol.

Unlike Luann and Bernice, Tiffany didn’t have a major, long drawn out crush in high school.

You think last week was bad? Second week of the same arc, and just as bland, boring and uninteresting.Comments are equally, as usual, pointless.I said I would quit reading this strip, but I guess I have some internal need for punishment.

Steph: “Diet! Gym!”

First good advice she has given Tif the entire series. A little exercise and controlling bad eating habits never hurt anyone.

It’s pretty bad when you make diet and exercise look like stupid, vanity-driven wastes of time, and Stefffffi is really doing so. (And Tiffany doesn’t really need to diet; she’s not overweight. I can tell because I have eyes.)

We now know how many copies she has of her cheerleading outfit.

Stef, insulted Ox and in so many words, just called you “fat,” Tiff.

The other cheek has long been turned.

Perhaps it’s time for a little “rope-a-dope” Tiffany style?

In the second panel, Tiff’s foot is in almost the perfect spot to administer a high velocity correctional kick to Steffi’s head.

The Stef comments are over the top now. Enough of this. However in the first frame, Tiff’s shark eyes made me laugh.

Someone needs to dig up a lobby poster for The Eyez Of Zeye and smack Stef over the head with it.

The difference between Stef and Tiffany is that Stef puts out while Tiffany didn’t.

Huh. Stick with me for a minute…

Tiff tunes out Steff’s yammering, but does start recalling all the energy cheerleader-fit Tiffany had. Maybe a little time back in a gym and a run now and then wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

And at the gym, who does she run into? Ever helpful Jack. Who is helpful, but also surprised — and impressed — that Tiff knows her way around a gym pretty well already. Maybe she’d like to go for a run together sometime…

Meanwhile, yup, Kip is done with one note Steff. Tiff however…

Kip goes on the prowl, but the next time he encounters Tiff? In the park. Running. With Jack.

Kip is about to beat a somewhat awkward retreat when a tennis ball thwacks him upside the head and this pudgy little lump of a dog runs up to claim it, followed by the mortified ball tosser… Luann.

Tiff makes introductions. Cute, down to earth, anti-Steff, Luann.

And that’s how the dorky, daydreamy, high school ‘nobody’ ends up dating the local college football quarterback.

And, no, I’m not going close the circle by having Steff attach herself to Ox somehow.

Nobody deserves that, especially Ox.

Getting kinda bored and tired with Tiff, and her catty left handed “complements”. Can we move on somehow??

Panel 3 – Stef looks like she’s doing the “Shannon Crusade March”. And FYI Stef, Tiff did have a part in some movie as I recall…you never have. Give it a rest ya twit.

It’s nice to see how much Tiffany has grown over the time♡. This is the first strip in years where she talks about her lack of interest in dating someone. I think Stef will never be able to understand, but Tiffany’s priorities are to be a good student and have fun with good friends. Having a boyfriend is not important! I just hope Stef doesn’t find out that Tiffany has a special relationship with Gunther and she decides to get in the way to make him and Bets breakup.

Maybe she needs sleep more than a boyfriend at the moment.

Stef, you’re not talking to a “sugar” right now. You’re talking to, oh, maybe Carolina Reaper pepper would be a good food analogy.

Last week’s arc started out really well, with Kip dumping that megalomaniac to reminisce with Ox.

But then, it’s become a paean to Steffi’s selfishness.

Betcha Stef grows up to be Blanche Devereux!!

I’m really enjoying seeing this level of maturity from Tiffany.

Why does Stef call Tiff “Shoog”? I am surprised Tiff hasn’t had enough of THAT name already!

Sorry but I find the Stef character to be a been there done that bore. Wasn’t she Tiffany in another life in high school?

Is it possible for Tiffany to kick Stef in the face from that bunk bed?

Tiffany has grown ever since she left high school and right now, she wants to have a bright future before thinking about finding a husband.

What is Yorkie Girl’s major?

Tiffany isn’t fat, and it would be good if this arc made the point that women don’t need to have their ribs showing to be attractive.

It’s amazing that Stef is that clueless. I’ve got to admit, though, that she’s probably almost as smart as Jen, the YouTube “Stupid Pizza Girl” from Britain and Jen’s think-alike cousin in Congress in America.

I didn’t think I’d find a character more annoying than Ann Eiffel or the little brat, but this cheer chick has risen to the top.

She reminds me of Luann from King of the Hill. Is she still in her senior year at junior college?

From Stef’s comment in th last panel, I think she just creamed her brain; the comment is all milky.

Please move to a new story line!

Stef get more detestable by the day.

Stef is still defining herself by the boyfriend; Tiff has learned better.

Well, if attitude has anything to do with body shaping, then Stef is looking good, especially in panel three where she has thinned out. Maybe it’s just her posture.

I realize she just wants to be left alone but it’s interesting that we never saw Tiffany date anyone in high school despite that presumed reputation. She just desperately threw herself at any boy Luann was interested in.

As for Stef, she seems to have teleported from the 1950’s.

“Gals like you”. Does Stef mean slightly overweight women? There are many, many men who love the body type Tiffany has right now. And Tiffany’s personality is more pleasant than obnoxious Stef.

In the case of Aaron, Tiff was already friends with him. In the case of the Australian guy, Tiff was already friends with him too.

If I could, I would draw a Lima-bean in Steffs head in panel 2.

College Tiff is meeting High School Tiff

Probably the worst thing about Stef is her continuous „stinks to be you“ attitude when she talks to pretty much anyone but herself.

This makes her pretty much a one-dimensional villain.

And that’s what she is, the strip’s designated villain.

We had a villain like this over at Dick Tracy; of late, that appears to be the only kind of villain we get at Dick Tracy, but one of the worst had to be Stilleta Jones, aka Ms. Flattop. Her whole life revolved around wanting to kill Dick Tracy. (Same could be said for Abner Kadaver, another Tracy villain who has a problem staying dead)

At any rate, that appears to be the problem we’re dealing with here: A villain who isn’t able to say a thing that isn’t a not-very-subtle insult, pretty much a constant drip-drip-drip of stinks-to-be-you.

And nothing else.

Stef is one of those people who likes to create an image of someone in their mind. What their childhood was like, who they hung out with in high school, and what the problem is that keeps them from being just like her – which is, of course – perfection. When she uses the word “date” I’m sure she means sex. Why are the Evans promoting this type of character?

Tiff, please. Just get up and punch Stef in the face. Then drag her unconscious body outside so you can get some peace and quiet.

Diet, Gym and make sure you have a hairstyle that looks like a bad wig!

SOMEONE MAKE HER STOP!

Geez, she’s pushy, and RUDE! You don’t say things like that to people!

Gals like her? What kind of gal is she referring to?

The gym cannot even begin to compete with a nice warm bed.

Maybe my beloved Tiffany will feel better after sleeping a bit more.

Maybe tomorrow we can see Stef return on crutches. One can only hope.

Hey, all you budding cartoonists out there: Look at Steffi. That’s how you draw “vapid.”

“It’s hard for gals like you to snag a guy. You probably didn’t date in high school”. Why, because she’s “fat”? Judgy much? Tiffany WAS you in high school, and, tbh, can still be quite snarky, but she’s more mature now.

Find somebody with a less annoying voice than Steffi.Like Alvin the Chipmunk.

Stef is immature and in denial and considers herself better off than Tiffany. Stef is to be avoided.

There’s truth to the saying “Be careful what you wish for, you might get it”. If only Tiffany had known it would be this bad. Steph will learn about Karma.

So much for Stef motivating Tiffany! She’s gone about it in exactly the wrong way. : ( And it’s nice to hear Tiffany say her priorities have changed. Of course, Ox loves her exactly as she is, but of course, she is not interested in him, because she wants the vacuous Kip!!!!! Kip will probably wind up coming on to Tiffany but it will end badly for everyone, including Tiffany. She can do so much better! I wish she could see that.

Tiffany did “Fake” dating! No boyfriends in High School! Her goal was be a movie star and made Luann’s life miserable.

Stef is using the privacy hut to keep Kip Lee. Being the Head Cheerleader isn’t the reason. In High School, she worked at the “The Grit Barn” As a server. Tiffany in High School had a credit card and the desire to be worship by her fellow colleagues. Her father treated her as a princess.

Stef appears to be presuming Tiff was always the same body habitus she is now, and her own insecurities are showing through. Tiffany puffed-up for a while, but then leveled-out with no obvious yo-yo’ing of weight. Stef seems so vain that she’s doing anything to maintain “trophy proportions”

It’s possible to have had lots of dates and been very popular yet never have had a special and deep relationship. I think that’s Tiffany in a nutshell.

Okay, being a guy, maybe I can’t relate. But I take “gals like us” to mean “cheerleaders” and I find that hard to comport with “hard to snag a guy”. Maybe she means the “right” guy? Maybe she means they’re high maintenance? But in general, that “hard to snag a guy” sounds really weird. Of course, I’m not sure why I take anything that character says seriously, ha!
