My daughter’s pit bull is a big, super-strong dog, who makes Goofy seems like a reasonable character, and he is a very loyal and dear pet to him, but I only take him eto the dog park because I’m too old to control him outside, so I feel safer there with him. I still have the fear though that somehow he would somehow escape from the park.. I can relate.

Saw comments on yesterday’s strip about how it would be Luann’s fault for losing Puddle, because she didn’t put a leash on him. But if they are in a dog park then she should be able to let him be leash free since dog parks have fences around them. A good one would have a double entrance to ensure dogs do not get out when people come in and out of the park. My guess on Puddles getting lost was that someone left a gate open or decided to steal him. Did not think about the old ‘hole in the fence’.

Luann has had Puddles for HOW long (seriously dog would be old by now) and she is STILL this careless with him? I don’t buy it.

When I’m at the dog park, sure I’m not staring at my dog the entire time, but when I look around and don’t see him my first instinct isn’t “Oh I’m sure he’s around here somewhere.” but to FIND him. (He’s a black dog so if he stands in the shadows right next to the fence that has a bunch of bushes up against it, it’s hard to see him.)

So okay I can accept that Luann isn’t worried when she glanced around and didn’t see him instantly, but I don’t buy that this didn’t instantly trigger her curiously to get up and look around to see where he wandered off to.

Luann should do what George Costanza did in one episode of Seinfeld: “Do exactly the opposite of what you would normally do in any given situation”. For one short episode, everything went George’s way concerning work, financials and romance. With Luann the concept could do the same when you consider how most of her decisions concerning Bernice, Tara, etc. have turned out over the past year or so…..

Why would anyone rip a hole through the bottom of a chain-link fence for a dog park like that? One would think that the city would at least block it off until they could replace it with a separate section of chain link.

OH NO! The fence is broken… PUDDLES!!! But Luann looks so cool and confident talking to Jack. The truth is that when she’s with him Luann becomes way more calm and rational. That’s why in yesterday’s strip Jack was so surprised to hear her say that she overreacts in stressful situations, the Luann he knows always knows what to do and is always prepared for anything. Even if something bothers her, she can calm down very easily. He’ll probably see Luann’s very emotional and scared side now. I think this is going to be really important for the future of this couple♡.

First time I took my current dog to a dog park, he saw someone leave so he ran up and tried to unlatch the gate the same way he saw it done to get out. But alas he was too small. So all I can think is that Puddles followed another dog out. He is smaller still.

I have two dogs. My biggest complaint is the stupid people who are too lazy to actually put their garbage (fast food leftovers) inside a trash container and just throw it out a car window or just drop it on the ground and the city that does not collect trash on a consistent basis from parks, etc. I constantly have to pull my dogs away from this kind of stuff. As shown with Puddles, most dogs will eat anything that resembles food no matter where it is. Please do not let this have an unhappy ending, we have enough bad news in our lives already.

No one seems to care about the real possible tragedy so often associated with missing and unattended pets. Go ahead, Greg, let a little dog get killed. Then let Luann remain the indifferent a$$hole she is who has no sense of responsibility. Just let her stay on that park bench casually discussing how her missing pet isn’t missing. She is such an incredible jerk.

So, now Pud is outside of the “safety” of the dog park.

    Collarless, no less.

    But don’t fret.

Besides, “All Dogs go to Heaven.”

And “NO” I don’t think they are going to “kill off” Puddles.

I still say that if any character ever “dies” in this Strip, it’ll be Mrs. Horner. ;-)

I realize now that Jack sees the hole in the fence (not Puddles). From the episode involving Shannon to this one, the unifying theme is that Luann panics i.e. reacts before thinking. Jack has animal sense; he can figure out where a dog might go by knowing their fundamental nature.

The doggie Hunger Games begin! Puddles has strayed out of the Dog Park (lured by leftover fast food fragments) and is no longer in protected territory. Local Animal Control will be on his tail (so to speak).

And it’s all casual Luann’s own fault for not keeping an eye on him….

I swear reading the comments wears me out. Yesterday because a suggestion was made that maybe she dd not even bring the dog, I and others were tod we were being idiots. Regardless of the fact that apparently he was brought, it could have happened. People said she stupidly forgot her dog.

I don’t see anyone commenting that thye were wrong about that.

I can’t wait to watch you all pile on her for not getting all stressed and trusting the the park is secure, and that as usual her dog will come trotting up.

I already see that now she is called an idiot for not being hyper vigilant, and irresponsible, so she apparently cannot do anythng right. I Know they are writing her this way, but the comments show the raw sense of meaness some of you have.
