Do any women own Bodices anymore??

I guess you may see some women wearing them at an Oktoberfest celebration. Why do I get the feeling that Tara has lots of XXX stuff on her laptop? lol

So is Luann going to ask to sit next to Piro? ;)

Why, yes, Luann does own a bodice. She owns a whole “princess” dress Gunther made for her for drag queen story telling time. It was gorgeous and slightly risque.

Um . . . in what context does she mean “bodice”? I’m not expert on women’s clothing, but isn’t “bodice” just the part of an outfit or dress that covers the torso (like the sleeve covers the arm, for example)?

Wow. Tara is inadvertent (or not) urging Luann to write a story that might be a seismic event the the relationship between Lu and her BFF. If Bernice can deduce who the characters are in this bodice ripper quote-unquote!

Did everyone catch up on the “history of Piro” that Greg posted in his newsletter?

What? Luann wants to get AWAY from Tara? That’s a great news. She’s always been a bad influence and not much of a friend to Luann. This writing thing – she got roped into it by Tara. It seems Tara could write but by roping in Luann, she will once again set her up to stumble. Luann is not much of a writer. Like I said earlier, she is a better reporter. Hopefully Mrs Horner will see that and gently lead her away from Tara and get her on the right path as a reporter.

Why is Tara taking this class? She already knows what to write.

I’m with Luann she needs to change seats.

A “bodice?” It’ll just get ripped.

Remember the creative writing class in THROW MOMMA FROM THE TRAIN where the pupil wrote “100 women I would like to pork”?

A bodice would be a snug, vest like top, meant to emphasize the womanly features with a touch of class. It should be eye catching, but a wet t-shirt featuring the lady’s favorite beer will not work.

“Slinky Luann” from yesterday sure turned back into regular confused Luann fast enough today. :-(

Too bad Frederick’s of Hollywood is no longer around, so maybe a Victoria’s Secret catalog would work, AND it would be something she, Luann, could share with her mother.

Tara’s got super pizzazz. She always has. And a good influence on Luann – pushing Lu out of her comfort zone.

Luann is simply telling facts. Tara is using imagery to show a story.

If it’s a ripping good yarn Luann creates, will she show Mom and Bernice. I really like today’s “strip” tease…

It harkens back to Victorian times…it’s like a corset, but worn over a blouse….very popular in Steampunk outfits.

It’s easy to see what kind of story Tara would like Luann to write. Luann is annoyed because Tara is absolutely right and she doesn’t like that someone can read her emotions so easily, especially these emotions that she hasn’t had in a while. I like the atmosphere of this class and the way Mrs Horner explain. Great story!

Tara is so funny! Back up girl! Mrs. Horner recognizes what’s happening and will not allow Lu to move, I think, which would be right, and hilarious.

I have to add, and point out first this is nothing negative in Bernice I like and understand her character, but it shows how different Tara and Bernice are. Been would be making snide remarks at Mrs. Horner (put aside the obvious repressed feelings she has for Piro) directions while Tara hilariously, and with perfect timing, makes hilarious ones. Which motivates Luann better?

It’s worse when you try to fulfill your fantasy and, try as you might, you realize… the chemistry is not there. Still, some of the world’s greatest poets have argued against not trying at all.

Come on Luann, you know you’re at least somewhat interested in “Piro.” Maybe not up to the “bodice ripping” level, yet, but still…

Luann may have realized that while writing a romance novel may be lucrative, it could take her into areas where she’s not prepared to go.

Yeah, I agree, Luann. Tara’s not helping by making it awkward. Luann’s mind is addled enough as it is. If Luann is going to try to date Piro making it awkward isn’t going to help when, realistically the casual approach is the best one. And as for Luann getting with Piro: I’ll believe it when I see it. Luann’s a master at dragging out a crush and avoiding being direct… Personally, I hope Luann just strikes up a friendship that becomes something more like her thing with Quill. (Admittedly, just based on looks I feel like Luann/Piro look less like they’d suit each other than Luann did with Quill or even Aaron Hill [not that I really ever thought her and Aaron were a great match personality-wise, but their character designs looked good together. I kind of miss having a male character with the eyes-eyes rather than just dot-eyes].)

Well, from the amount of time Mr. Evans spends writing about Luann’s love life, I would assume she dons a chastity belt every morning.

Lemme guess: Military vet who may have seen a best bud die, doing school on GI Bill funding, but has a messy life as a result of PTSD.

It seems like the teacher would tell Tara to Stop Talking while she is trying to teach. Very disrespectful of any student to do that.

Let’s not pile on Tara here! I think she’s just teasing Luann and telling her to take a chance here. And Luann’s request to change seats is just her being facetious. She isn’t really running away from Tara nor is she running toward Piro. But Tara senses her interest and she is encouraging it in her typical teasing way. I personally like Tara a lot more than Berniece as a pal for Luann, although I do recognize that Luann and Berniece have a long history together and probably know one another better than they know anyone else.
