What craft project has wrought this? I can at least gleam that much as while the biggest one seems a bit too big for that the smallest one seems very swallowable and well.. Elvis "Give me them death noodles’ dunn and Lupin “I’ll eat all the lamps I want” Dunn both make a strong case for that being a very bad thing in this house.

Pom-pom batting tutorial is starting. New cats need to pay attention.

Our Esse is of the Goldie school of batting (also for scrounging food) be very delicate on the approach. Investigate with the lightest of touch being aware of any response from the mystery object. Constantly check with mama for reassurance that things are O.K.

And the pom poms were scattered and patted with care, as detective Goldie, was very much there! With O.Z in her cuteness and Iggy, waiting to tap, Goldie knew this was no time to nap!

Take a look at the Valentine’s Day strip and you can see a string of pom poms just above the speech bubbles. The woman probably took them down and placed them in a storage box. What kitten can resist looking into a box?

I guess some of the Boy’s and Girl’s craft stuff ran for their lives; now, they will be investigated by our resident detective along with one chaotic kitten (and maybe one anxious one)

This sort of thing requires a licensed pom-pom batter. No amateurs allowed.

Doesn’t matter the shape, size or material. All cats love balls.

I accidentally deleted the whole thing while trying to post a follow up comment. So I added a follow up at the end, but I figure most folks won’t go back to that page to read it, so I’ll repost it here.

When we were at our largest amount of cats in our clowder, we moved. Upon moving the couch, we came upon the glorious puffball stash. Along with the spring stash, mouse stash and all the random toys stash. Luckily the cats were already closed in a room in the new house, so they didn’t end up batted all over the house while we were shoving furniture around.

Pom-poms. POM-POMS??? Nobody uses pom-poms anymore. Sparkle balls are all the rage these days.

Leave it to the detective, Ora. She’s a real pro.

OT: Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes yesterday. I had a splendid day and spent part of it visiting one of the gorillas in our local zoo who was celebrating his 30th birthday.

We finally got my new computer out of the box and set up yesterday. It was the first time since I got it back in I think September that I’ve had time, energy, and sense at the same time. And yay! This one seems to be working properly. Now I need to make the Blooming Onion soup. All I have to do is get the energy.

Kittens need training before they can move up to the advanced objects.

Akiro has reached new heights of weird; this evening he was begging insistently for a bit of my cookie (oatmeal-cranberry, baked fresh today). Knowing that he doesn’t generally care for such things, I saved him two tiny bits (with no fruit); what do you know, he actually ate both morsels! Goofy cat; hasn’t he heard that he is an obligate carnivore?
