Glad to see Ora Zella is not preparing to make fiery war on the moles, the lawn, and inevitably any nearby towns or small mountains that might be considered collateral damage. Thank you for your heroic service, Cool Cactus!

Mom Cat to the rescue! Little cats are so cute when they’re destroying. Then we get Lupin, fangs deep into the cactus.

I wonder how Ora Z and Iggy would feel about a Cool Ranch Cactus, if it was covered in a mysteriously-addictive-neon-cheeze powder?

I want a cool cactus now!

The way things are going, Cool Cactus may very well be doomed.

But in the meantime, we have made no progress in the mystery of the trash, and the moles are still rampaging around under the lawn.

So for now the Mole War has gone cold though I suspect, especially since we haven’t met the possums yet, this is far from over. It is nice however to see some fun cactus hyjinks with the kids , lupin included. he’s 40 going on 12 and he’ll die that way.

The chomping goes on. Lupin is now chomping on cool cactus.

In California, I finally had a chance to try some Cactus Cooler soft drink. It’s the nearest stateside equivalent to the famous Scottish Irn-Bru.

Scaeva, cover your eyes and ears before someone spots OZ’s toebeans.

Cactus is so cool he hasn’t lost his shades despite all that cathandling!

How amazing is Puck though? Just the one hind leg, yet he’s able, through his Mom Cat Super Powers, to snatch up Iggy and Ora Z and pin them to the wall. Or otherwise neutralize their small cat energies!

Now I want a Cool Cactus for my girls! One of my co-workers has a cactus scratching post, cactus must be in style. ;)

I’m so happy that Iggy has come completely out of his shell and fit into the whole scheme of things. You’d never know he was the shy little thing he was when they first came.

Pretty sneaky, Lupin. Puck is the best mediator. But I thought we already established that teaching cats that cacti are things to be played with is a bad idea. Real cacti, sadly, are not cuddly.
