I like that she was making a nice healthy dinner. I think she’s trying to take better care of herself.

So when school starts.. will Tiff be back at the dorm or still living at her Manse?

And we’re back to this “Sigh” I mean it’s STILL way better than her peeping, but frankly if that arc was never going to matter why have it exist? Or better question why have it exist. Just.. in general.

Well, summer vaycay is almost done, and that security system upgrade seems still not installed. We, at least, have seen no sign of it. Will Tiff return to the dorm, or commute from home despite her insecurity? Doesn’t Tom Farrell care about protecting her and his property assets? Doesn’t Tiff care about feeling safe enough to live there as an alternative choice to the dorm and its social discomforts that she previously left? She has relied all summer on the feeling of security (and distraction) that Kip’s presence has provided, but she has not planned for her subsequent security after the ending of that temporary arrangement. I had presumed that his presence would backup the security system during short lapses in its availability while upgrades were in the process of installation, but apparently that opportunity was entirely wasted. Apparently, no one cares if Tiff has another panic attack and injures herself again. No one learns from past mistakes. No one grows, no one matures. Do y’think I’ve groused enough yet?

Time to clean up the drawing board, shoo away Gunther and his mismatched mob of misfits and try again.

Come on, Tiffany. The truth doesn’t hurt. Just say that you can eat the salad later and that you would love to go out. I think this arc will be interesting. I wish the ones featuring Luann were interesting, but she’s so stuck in a time warp. It’s like she is reluctant to emerge from her teen years. Eagerness to go ahead, willingness to go ahead, or reluctantance to go ahead are the three attitudes that determine ones growth and success. She has been going nowhere since she graduated from highschool. Oh, she takes some classes, but that’s it.

Busted! Tiff it’s time to come clean with Kip and tell him how you really feel about him. Before he goes back to that vipor.

So, in regards to the Gunther/Bets arc, once again, G&K have pulled the rug out from under our feet and slammed the door in our faces, smacking our noses in the process..

There was supposed to be a fourth panel, where Tiffany says “Of COURSE not! I’m just desperate to go out with you!”

Oh Tiffany, saying that lie about the compost was so… superfluous! It also pretty much spoiled for Kip an image of her making her own lunch, where she looked really self-satisfied and very beautiful, that made him smile happily. Even if Tiffany told Luann she no longer wants to tempt another girl’s boyfriend, she’s still very attracted to Kip. I wonder what will happen during this lunch. Maybe lots of awkward moments, maybe the start of a big lovestory. Maybe if it will be at the Fuse, she could meet Gunther and ask him what happened with Bets.

We knew that there would be showdown between Tiff and Stef; it was just a matter of time. The dinner setup is merely the plot device to make it happen.

….aaaaaand I just flashed that Stef might resultantly get with Gunther, and I can’t quite explain WHY.

Plot twist – at dinner, Kip will try to sell Tiff a 1990 Vanagon he bought cheap from a woman dressed as Lt. Uhuru.

Of course she wants to go, right before Steph arrives for Fall.

just throw everything in the refrigerator and go out for dinner.

And here we go. All of a sudden Tiffany wears an apron and keeps a compost pile?? Is it for the garden she’s going to go work in later? REALLY? This is going to be another one of those Luann comics personality changes. I wonder what the ghost writers are using for reference on these characters because it’s been obvious for months, if not years, that there are more people involved in the writing than just the Evans’, and they are not even remotely familiar with the characters’ histories. It’s like these random, unrealistic personality traits just pop up out of nowhere and I suspect it’s coming from new people who are drawing on their own personal experiences, instead of maintaining the basic traits of the characters. What, were they writing this arc and someone said “let’s have Tiffany pretend it’s for her compost pile” and everyone went along with it?

Oh boy, finally, at last, a real genuine long lasting love affair in the Luann strip. Ha ha ha. NOT!

Wait until Stef hears about this.

Nice of Kip to offer a Thank You dinner. The best way is to say “I want to take you out to dinner to thank you for your hospitality. What night is good for you?”

I love Tiffany despite her faults. Weight gain made her more in touch with those around her.

And, next I would enjoy seeing a visit from Knute and Crystal. Crystal, the ultimate Goth with spiky black hair, purple eye shadow, black lipstick, and holding the hand of Angel, a 4 year old little girl with curly blond hair and a crisp, white, dress.
