On scoreboards, strikes are recorded with ’K’s. There’s a reason every third ‘K’ is backward, and it’s not to make it easier to count ’em up.

My mother taught me how to score baseball. We’d go to Forbes Field and watch the Pirates. Wonderful memories.

You know, this kind of knee jerk reaction wouldn’t surprise me in the least in today’s thin skinned over sensitive world.

6 is Short Stop. That’s why a double play is “6-4-3” not “SS-2B-1B”. Goat needs a lesson!

Fun Fact!: In Germany, the band KISS uses a modified version of their logo in which the “SS” looks like reversed “ZZ”. Search “kiss german logo” for comparison images.

Just record the shortstop as 6.

I grew up filling out the scorecard during games. I did that for many years. I drew my own at home, but they would sell programs at the ballpark with the roster/player info and a blank scorecard. I don’t know when that stopped.

And Pig is so ignorant! And, leaping to conclusions is his chief exercise….

I keep score at every M.L.B. game I attend in person. It helps me stay focused on the game, and it allows me to see later all that’s happened in the game.

Goat would be justified in punching Pig, at the same time telling him there is no crying in baseball.
