That’s exactly how the first day’s code got solved! Some of us were brainstorming in the comments, and realized the letter pattern of “it’s time” matched the first two four-symbol groups on the big screens!

I wondered if Ora Zella would share that important info with Iggy.

Orazuzu’s little tail is really lashing in the last panel. Look at the movement marks on either side of it.

I forget. Did the Zombunnies have their tongues sticking out like Elvis’ is?

Before, I was hoping the all of this was being recorded so the younglings could prove to everyone what happened.

Now . . . Elvis (his body, at least), acting in a way that can only be described as undignified, while blepping, and putting the Girl at risk . . . I don’t think I want Elvis to have to see that.

I like how the expression on Iggy’s face in the last panel changes, without actually changing, to ‘well, duh. Why didn’t I think of that?’

I love seeing Elvis with his little pink tongue sticking out. So cute! ❤️

Have y’all stopped to think that maybe the carpet is just really, really dirty?

Zella’s on to something

I love Ora Zella’s efforts to restrain Elvis – she’s giving it her best shot, but a body check doesn’t work without sufficient mass (panel 1) and in panel 3, she looks like she’s using his arm as a chin-up bar.

“All we are saying is give peas a chance!” Blame alien tech thought processes.

Look at Ora Zellda’s tail – total POOF!

And once the code is cracked and their command-and-control structure disrupted, it’ll be time to clean their clocks!

And I bet their clocks are really dirty because even alien killer Roombas can’t reach that high!

I like the doorknob and keyhole above Orazuzu’s head kinda, sorta resembles a light bulb turning on, the modern* symbol of getting an idea.

Is that Puck in panel 3? I thought he was hypnotized.

Oz, is a WIZARD!

Puck and Elvis vs. Lupin and Ora Zella for control of the door knob! It’s almost like zombified BCW. The stakes have never been higher!

Somehow I get “Must hurry…” out of the code snippet.

Hurry up, Iggy, you could be needed to help restrain Elvis and Puck!

I still have no idea about what this storyline it.

Sounds ominous in the same way as " Swim with the fishes" ….

Do panels one and three show the cats trying to keep the roomba horde from turning the handle? Is OZ trying to open the door? Great to see Elvis, Lupin, & a puck in the same panel, though.

OT – venting

Am I crazy or should Ora’s line, “It’s time to clean the carpet”, be sung like the theme of Muppet Show?

Great clue, Orazuzu. Now get back to helping Lupin before the whole place gets overrun!

OT: Good news for strays in Ohio:

“The Ohio Supreme Court issued a ruling stating all cats and dogs are protected under the state’ felony animal abuse law.

‘That’s a huge win for protecting cats and dogs in the state of Ohio,’ said Brian Weltge, CEO and president of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

The court issued a unanimous decision Wednesday saying a cat or dog does not need to be kept in order to be protected under the law. It reversed a decision by the Eighth District Court of Appeals that found the felony-level statute only applied to pets that received care from someone, according to Court News Ohio." Not to bust up that dramatic third panel with practicality, but if anyone’s going to restrain Elvis and Puck, I think the Children should step in. They’re bigger, and there are two of them! And there seems no risk of stray claws – Elvis and Puck are controlled, but not aggressive.

Is that Elvis? Why is he drawn so weird? Also, when this roomba story began, I wasn’t sure if the white cat was supposed to be Lupin. He looks really weird, too. I like the older styles for the cats.

Maybe it will turn out that this whole Doombas story has been Iggy’s opera!

Iggy is going to have a breakthrough, perhaps tomorrow.

It’s time to crack the code.

I have sad news to share… my father Daniel G. Dunn died yesterday after a brief illness. My Dad was an incredibly talented artist; hilarious, handsome, well dressed (he would want to make sure I said that in every post ❤️), sensitive, complicated, complex wild card of a man.

Props to Ora for attempting to restrain Elvis. She was really giving her all.

I find Georgia’s third panel fascinating for the way she has drawn/painted Elvis’s arms. The left one is pushing Lupin away as Lupin hangs on to him. The right, reaching for the doorknob, has OZ hanging from it.
