Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Puck: We shouldn’t be out here, but I suppose this is necessary.
Beatrix: I’m sure it will be alright. Here’s Diane Filly. Hello, Diane!
Diane: Hi, Bea! Long time no see. Who are your friends?
Beatrix: This is Ora Zella, and her ancestor from long ago, Ora Z. And my ancestor Beatrixia, and your ancestor Diana Filly.
Diane: Ooh! Diana, you’re a legend in the family.
Diana: That’s great. You’re no slouch yourself.
Puck: We’re looking for the Robber Mice.
Diana: They’re all here.
Violet: What do you need, Puck?
Puck: Beatrixia, Diana, and Ora Z seem to have traveled to us by way of some Space Time Fabric, and they need to get back.
Vi: I remember when our Tommy traveled back to Ancient Egypt when he accidentally came across a Space-Time Anemone (July 13, 2022). My Nana Infinity helped him to get back.
Beatrix: Are there any more Space-Time Anemones?
Vi: I’m not sure. Nana Infinity brought most of them back with her. But I think the bees of the Xanadu Hive may be able to help.
At the Xanadu Hive
Kira Worker Bee: There is the story about my ancestor making honey from a Space-Time Anemone. But it disappeared and no one knows where it is.
Violet: It would be most likely at some magical place.
Beatrixia: And we all know the most magical place anywhere or anywhen!
Angora, can you design a safe place for your father, Brad and Dr. Mittens? They have proven they only want to cause dispicable deeds. Snowballe Taggert is BAD.
What reason could an evil genius have to live without dastardly deeds to plot and crooked deals to plan?
That boy needs a hobby. I suggest jigsaw puzzles. All my cats loved those, plus they come in boxes(!), although they would get annoyed when I put all the pieces together so they couldn’t play with them.
Congratulations, Snowball! You’ve acquired a guardian who will now give you an allowance and room and board (in a really cushy place). She’ll probably even put up with your attitude. [Insert standard disclaimer about lack of actual knowledge here]
Meanwhile, over in the Grumbling Room, we are making preparations for shutting it down (although we’re not putting a whole lot of effort into it and we’ve not actually made much progress), but the snack tables are still up (they are obviously well built, as a normal table would have buckled from the weight long ago), loaded with leftovers from various New Year’s parties and whatever new recipes that everyone has been waiting to try and decided that the new year is as good a time as any to give it a go. We will not, of course, turn away any tried and true recipes, because you never quite know how the new ones (experimental ones) will turn out.
So, let the feast continue, in blessed ignorance of all thing Soap Opera related!
Should there be a TommyBaum at the artificial tree farm, or would that hurt his feelings. (I know, parallel universes.) My TommyBaum’s staying lit until Epiphany, then going to the garage for storage. Other Orbsters?
I’m confused. If Snowball really did have all those assets, why didn’t he sell off a few of them? Did he know that none of them belonged to him? I thought it was just the artificial woods that belonged to Snowbelle. Did the bank seize the rest of his property? Did she buy it back from the bank? If she bought it from him, then wouldn’t he get all the money she paid for it?
I somehow doubt their stake in the moon was spearheaded by Taggart personally, because I highly doubt he has the smarts necessary to get anything safely to the moon. So either one of the smarter members of their family was behind it, or it’s an inheritance.
(All the children in the audience are looking at each other like the RCA Dog, scratching their heads, while their little uneducated minds are trying to figure out what I am referencing.)
Still plenty of odd jobs Mr. T. can do to keep up the place(s)! And plenty of leftover black eyed peas for creative hors d’oeuvres in the Grumbling Room!
I saw a special on TV, several years ago, about a billionaire who was so good at investing that he always made money, no matter what the economy was doing. It was his whole life, the only thing he could do, or wanted to do. He didn’t do anything with the money, except make money. What an incredibly empty life.
Somebody asked about precautions to take to help protect our fur babies from exposure to bird flu. A large mega poultry farm in central Ohio had to kill over a million of their chickens due to bird flu. The wildlife authorities have been testing dead birds and several from my county tested positive for bird flu.
They interviewed a Wildlife Officer on the news. He said bird flu is mainly spread through droppings, so that means the most likely way people bring the virus into their homes is on their shoes. He recommended making sure to remove shoes before entering the house, then clean and disinfect the shoes before wearing them again.
Unfortunately, he didn’t offer any advice about bird feeders. We’re expecting our first major snow of the season Sunday through Monday. I think I’ll fill the feeders before the snow starts.
Swaneaters might be coming back sometime soon. Not sure, but Georgia shared a post on the BCN Facebook page from the Swaneaters Facebook page. All it said was “Testing… 1… 2…”, but it seems promising. She had said at one time she did have some strips done, but she wanted to have them all done before she started posting to GoComics again so she wouldn’t have to worry about another break. I know she said it is a story with an ending, but not sure how far from the ending she was before she had to take a break.

So if Kit wants to do a “Fly me to the moon” with Angora….. at least they’ll have someplace to stay once they get there.
