Bush compassionately invaded Iraq, killing a couple hundred thousand Iraqis and causing tens of thousands of American compassionate casualties.

And compassionately allowed the Taliban to retake Afghanistan.

The Bush depression was also very compassionate.

    .

But, It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It, right?

California used to have a great mental health system. Plenty of beds for those who were unable to care for themselves. After Ronald Reagan got elected he decided it would save the state money to close down the hospitals and throw the mentally ill onto the the streets. Now there were homeless people and the police and prison budgets had to go up to handle the situation.

It worked so well he did it again when he became President.

For those RINO’s and Dems who say that they let had “more respect” for prior republicans and that Trump is an anomaly . ;Exhibit A is this panel todayl The Dems and the LEFT have ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS attacked any Republican president vociferously and unfairly. For me that dated back to Ronald Reagan being described as ready to start WWIII.

    The playbook never changes!

For Republicans, the cruelty is the point. Where’s the fun in having power if you can’t make people suffer so that you can feel smugly superior to them?

Once again, it was the editorial cartoons that There Went Comics, in its pathetic cowardice, decided couldn’t have comments anymore. Doonesbury is social satire.

Cannabinoids are still listed as Schedule I and illegal under Federal law.

Trump is likely to order his Attorney General and lapdog, Pam Bondi, to aggressively enforce the law in Blue States where cannabinoids have been legalized. Shutting down dispensaries would put pressure on Blue State governors to comply with the project 2025 agenda.

As an added side benefit, it would make liberals cry. /s

The cruelty is the. point, as Adam Serwer observed. The quickest and easiest way to look and feel powerful is to go hurt somebody who can’t hurt you back. Bullies like Trumpkins have known that since the dawn of inhumanity. And now we know that a plurality of the country is perfectly OK with it.

Well, this reminds us that SOMETHING is better in 2025 than in 2002. Medical (and even often recreational) marijuana is now legal — hurray!

conservatives opposed our independence in 1774. conservatives opposed our constitution in 1788. conservatives opposed freeing their slaves. conservatives quit the U.S. in 1860. conservatives invaded, made war and killed U.S. soldiers from 1861 to 1865. A conservative killed Lincoln. conservatives opposed women’s right to vote. conservatives opposed, and still oppose, social security and Medicare. The only president to resign his office in disgrace of being a crook was a conservative. The only violent transition of power came in 2021 supported by conservatives and led by the fascist insurrectionist tRump. conservatives still defend and support him and his insurrection, and put him back in the White House. This time it already is worse, and we ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.

Every Republican/conservative president since 1929 has had a depression or recession, some had two.

conservatives are the enemy of the United States of America, and have been since 1774.

Oh yeah medical marijuana laws totally are a scam. Special docs that give the cards to anyone. Just legalize it. And allow towns and cities to regulate it.

AG in 2002 was John Ashcroft, who infamously draped the statue of Justice because she had a bare breast.

And someone I know told me John came to her art-dealer father looking for erotic drawings – of children. And, both knowing her and knowing RepubliKlan “morality”, I have reason to doubt it.

Trump promised us shock and awe during his first weeks of his Presidency. This is the one promise he has kept. I am shocked at some of the things he has done, and in awe of how rash and impulsive both he and his staff are. The spending freeze should have never been put forward. Whoever pushed that idea has seriously embarrassed their Orange God. There is obviously no one in Trump World who can or will tell him “No.”

Well Trump you wanted a staff that was absolutely loyal to you. You got it, but they cannot/will not save you from yourself. Be prepared to be embarrassed a lot due to your ill considered ideas.

It doesn’t “ignore state law” to enforce federal law. The state can’t permit what is illegal nationwide.
