Well, Well.. I knew Frank would be the next person to come out there and bother her.

Nancy probably should have put the jigsaw puzzle together in her bedroom if she wanted more privacy.

Frank offering to help? Has he ever offered to help with the laundry? Did he and Luann begin making suppers to help Nancy work at the Fuse. And since the Fuse was his idea why doesn’t HE work there? So, come Saturday do we, as someone has suggested, see Nancy on a locked car reading a book?

Next week can we see Luann go out on a date with Piro, or Ben Halper, or Mike or even Monstro. Monstro would be a poor choice for a date because he has fish lips.

Tell Frank you got it?

Okay, so I guess the underlying theme of this arc is Nancy wanting some serious me-time. Not exactly compelling or captivating, but definitely relatable.

You know how Shannon did 4 weeks in August? This could be the first of 4 weeks of Nancy and the Jigsaw.

Maybe tomorrow: The puzzle begins to take shape – but then Puddles “helps” – jumping on the table and scattering the pieces already in place.

Well Bernice was gracious enough not to finish the puzzle. Nancy gets to finish it if she manages to get rid of her other half.

She could have just told people to get their own puzzle.

Well, it looks like Bernice finally took the hint! Too bad Frank isn’t that smart.

Maybe this is leading up to a Mrs Robinson romance with Leslie Knox! He comes over to talk to her about the fuse and then helps her with the puzzle and then … the possibilities are endless !!! ❤️❤️

It’s a little sad to see that the only one who can understand Nancy’s need to do something on her own is Luann (and Puddles, of course). But it’s also nice to see how much the daughter can understand her mother. This shows how much she care and her ability to have empathy. Something that Bernice lacks. I hope that doing a jigsaw with Frank can be fun.

Doing a jigsaw puzzle is like playing solitare. Some one comes along and starts pointing out all the plays you need to make.

I don’t think Nancy wants any help, Frank.

Poor Nancy. She’s the only sane character in the entire strip. Surprisingly, Brad is a close second.

One place I worked at had a jigsaw puzzle on a table in the lunchroom. Anybody could add pieces to it

For someone who runs a restaurant Nancy is awfully passive. Frank should know to offer help and not insist.

My husband hates doing jigsaw puzzles. He helps me by keeping my wine glass from getting empty.

Typical though. Need help, can’t find anyone anywhere. Don’t need or want it, you’re tripping over people butting in!

Bernice, who was supposedly “helping” Nancy with the puzzle, didn’t even notice when Nancy got up and walked away. I agree with those who say Nancy should just give it up and go read a book.

No Frank. Just no.

Nancy learns that every member of her household finds jigsaw puzzles irresistible. So now, whenever she wants to see what everyone is up to, all she needs to do is dump a puzzle on the table!

So, maybe this is the storyline that cleans the palette and paves the way for whatever comes next, doesn’t look like we’ve landed on the real cast of characters yet…… hmmmmm???? ;-)

Here is my best jigsaw puzzle story. When I was scheduled to have thumb joint replacement surgery and would be in a cast for six weeks with a pin in my wrist my husband very thoughtfully bought me a beautiful 1,000 piece puzzle with a picture of hummingbirds on it. I worked and worked on it and it was a great distraction and a very positive way to pass the time. I had just about gotten it finished when I bumped the table and the entire thing crashed to the ground! All that patience and work for nothing! So, I started over. He helped me from time to time and we really enjoyed the process. But when we had put it together again oh the horror! One single piece was missing. We looked everywhere and I had finally decided to try and make a piece out of chipboard when I found the missing piece hiding in a corner of a plastic tote where I kept my craft supplies. It had been flung there when I dropped the puzzle and had I not been trying to rebuild it I might never have found it. We decided to glue it to a flat base and get it framed. It is now proudly hung on our wall as a reminder that all things even bad things like thumb surgery, pass in time and are replaced by good things. I’m doing great with my new thumb joint and I’ll always remember my husband’s kindness and patience during this difficult time.

Does Nancy not know that she’s allowed to refuse help? This strip sure gets a lot of mileage out of people being doormats.

Sorry Nancy, the cats are coming next.

Just when Nancy thought it was “safe” to go back to her puzzle…

The problem with assembling a jigsaw puzzle around other people is, you can never get any “piece.”

I guess Puddles will “work” on the puzzle tomorrow.
