Oh My! Well, this puts to rest the idea that Ann & Tom have separate bedrooms. Nope… they share the same room and bed!

Nice to see that Tiff and Les both refer to themselves as “we”. So, a definite alliance is forming. To un-dumb Tom. Maybe they should start by heading to the mansion and doing some investigating? Real investigating, and also covering their tracks and not throwing more things out the window. Speaking of…. Yo, Tiff?

When I became an adult, I made my own decisions. Some were good, some bad, some dumb. I had to live with them. Tom and Ann are adults. Their kids think they are dumb and evil. That maybe so. Their adult children (I use that term loosely) should just butt out.

Tiffany: “Dad? I’d like for you to met Les Knox, Ann’s adult son! He’s going to be staying here with us after you and Ann are married!

Les – “How ya doing, Pops! You and are gonna real pals just like me and your daughter!

Tom – “Ann! You never told me you had an adult son!! What’s the meaning of this???”

Tiffany – “Hey Dad! I found the note from Ann about her pregnancy while I was cleaning your room. Your gonna be a dad again, and I’m may have the little sister I always wanted! Isn’t that wonderful?!!?”

Les – “And I’m gonna be a big bro! Hey, which room is mine??”

Tom – *”ANNNNNNNNN?!!?”

Ann – “Uhhhhhhhh, heh,heh,heh….,(Gulp)”. ;)

Unsane would seem to mean…make not sane? But your mom’s insane? Which means she’s already not sane… Eh, makes as much sense as everything else that’s been going on. (No sense. None of it makes any sense.)

i know Tiffany has her own issues to deal with and she really needs to address those and she’s still got a long way to go. such as seeking out her mom as it’s been said, but one wonders if this will even work? if she actually had a parent that didn’t just give her what she wants to get rid of her growing up rather than a parent that like mine did if i wanted something would say No, or they’d say you gotta do chores to earn it we will pay you etc.. whatever and than you get it.

it used to anger me to say the least but it no longer does and i don’t hold that against them having said that i was never a kid who got everything i wanted but Tiffany was, if her father actually acted like a father instead of just something he tolerates and prolly had the help raise her rather than him she wouldn’t have this many issues. true she’s learning a little bit but like i said she’s still got a long way to go

After all this, if Tiffany and Leslie manage to come up with an incredibly stupid plan to break their parents apart, then it will all be worth it. I wonder if they can convince anyone that they were twins separated at birth.

Today’s news: The usual “Luann Gang” tile has been replaced by a new tile, entitled “Who is Ann Eiffel?”

Judging by the looks of things, it appears she’s replacing Luann and may well be on her way to becoming the star of the strip!

Tiffany should grow a pair, right now, and tackle this latest development, because Les doesn’t seem to want to get involved!!!

But of course. Ann only stalks guys who are dumb. She spotted Tom a mile away and zeroed in on him. The naive and lonely widow with a daughter in college vibe. Time to bring in Al Gray. He knows his sister and possibly Tom will only listen to someone who is an adult and his own age, not his daughter, who he thinks is just silly and jealous, or Les, who he never met and claims Ann is his mother, which Ann never mentioned having a son, but a respectable looking gentleman in a suit? Probably. Will tomorrow’s strip show Les calling his uncle? After all, he was the one who advised Les to use the lingerie client list against Ann to get her to stop taking payments for the credit card “theft” (I suspect it was never a theft – she gave the card to Les then she turned around and took him to court to claim he stole her card – that way she got the credit back on that card which she probably used herself also). Les knows his uncle gives good advice or strategy.

Is Ann really pregnant? That photo could be of somebody else’s fetus in someone else’s belly. Or it could even be an old one of Les.If she is really pregnant, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if the father isn’t Tom, or at least the Tom that’s Tiffany’s dad. Either way, even if Ann’s found out, she’ll probably talk her way around it. She’s done it so many times before.

Anyone else curious as to why Ann is “Ann Eiffel” while Les is “Les Knox”?

This is really a tough one to figure out how it will turn out. dissuading either dumb or insane here is probably a null sum proposition in both cases. I think letting them—Ann and Tom—be might the path of least resistance. But that is not going to happen either, such a complicated path ahead.

Bet way to clean house here is to nick the brake lines on Tom’s Bentley, and hope the cabin they are at is at the top of Pike’s Peak. Should be an exhilarating ride down, the first Bentley ever to reach Warp 6 …

Doubtful any of their plans will work, but Tiffany & Les seem to be getting closer together.

This is obviously not going to end well. We humans have the regretful ability to rationalize that our thoughts are supremely important enough to impose on others. Repeating myself: This arc is disappointing, Tiffany has gone snooping in her father’s bedroom, read something that was private and none of her business, spread gossip, and now appears to be planning an alliance to destroy her father’s happiness. This strip has really changed.

That would be “un-INsane,” Les. She’s already unsane.

And of course, WE, the concerned readership, can’t pass along any warnings to Tom because— having never seen his face— we wouldn’t recognize him if we saw him!

How can you possibly do that? Tiffany’s dad is too pompous and awful to reason with. Eiffel has already brainwashed him.

Tiffany and Les are starting to make sense, now!

Oh-oh the barrel is edging ever closer to the cliff. The options to dive out is becoming dimmer and dimmer. It’s gonna take a miracle save to escape this grim fate.

Les is dumber.

Your mom’s already been “un-saned.” That’s why she’s insane. The impossible thing you want to do is sane her. But I think “saning” her might be easier than un-dumbing someone. Who knows? Maybe having a baby will mellow her out.

Yes, a dumb in love♡. But Ann probably loves him too. In a weird, control freak and evil way, but this too is a form of love. And if they are able to prevent the marriage, what will they do with the baby? Leave it to Ann or take it away from her?

My guess is,they are getting married at their little getaway.

I really do not like this whole Tiffany scenario. Ann is truly the wicked step-mother and Tiff is letting her walk all over her. Tiff needs to rediscover her confidence and demand a face-to-face with her dad about her life.

Mordy, like to point out Les is doing pretty good today (don’t worry, he’ll do a Les thing at some point). First part he’s trying to ignore/block the what Tiffany has to say . Hasn’t perfected it but trying to avoid wanting to do a caper. I’ll be curious to see tomorrow’s and how they conclude this part.

I hope Tiff does not waste her whole summer thinking about this. She could be taking a class to get her GPA up; she could be studying to get a head start in classes she will take in the fall. And maybe one of these days Gunther will remind her of some advice she gave him one night while driving back from a dinner with Irma and Al.

My guess is she is initiating Tom into the cult.

This story line has the potential for some tragedy if Evans wants to take it that way.

Ann’s diabolical but I wouldn’t call her insane.

Today’s comic is so funny. I love these 2 together.

Now we know where Tiffany got all her “dumb” from. If Tom is dumb for loving an evil woman, then lots of men are equally dumb. Ann is not insane, just evil and conniving.

Tiffany seems surprised that her dad loves Ann and is happy with her. What did Tiff think was going on all these months? Did she think her dad would continue to date someone he was not happy with?

So far Ann’s done a great job of keeping Tiffany and her father apart; maybe what she needs is some one-on-one time to get his side of things.

I really liked the theory that Ann is Shannon’s mother. The interaction between those two would be hilarious and Tom would just love having such a sweet, polite little girl around!

In the first panel, Les seems to be trying to avoid what he thinks may be a further revelation of some bedroom activities.

This ain’t this same guy! Leslie, nee Les, is just a shadow of his former self.

I still think that, in the end, this arc may result in Tiffany abandoning plans to break up what she a perceives as a couple in love. Don’t dismiss it out of hand.

I’m astonished that Tiffany is JUST NOW realizing that her Dad actually loves Ann and is happy with her. How on earth could this have escaped her all this time? I guess she just had to be confronted with photographic evidence to finally accept it.

I’m surprised no one has forwarded the idea that all those “happy” photos and the baby sonogram, aren’t actually photoshopped. Ann is a grifter, of some intelligence. Printing up a bunch of faux pictures to mess with Tiffany’s head, seems about her speed.

This story line has become actually painful. What is the point? What is the end game? and finally when will Tiff realize that Ann is so much smarter than she is. Its like Ann is fighting a totally unarmed person

Ouch.

The story… while quite interesting …. is also quite differently written than what I am used to seeing all these years from Greg. Much of the writing seems considerably more haphazard and has a not as carefully thought out feeling to me and is not the norm….

1. “unsane” (today)

2. “trapping my dad by having a baby” (from yesterday)

3. “you, me, Gunther gonna raise the baby” (from yesterday)

4. “I’m gonna be a big bro” (from a few days ago)

5. Ann’s clothes thrown out the window (from several days ago)

None of the above is horrid, but each in one way or another feels “off” or “rushed” or a bit “half-baked” in comparison to what has been Greg’s standard.

This, with the plethora of Ann Eiffel associated comics now on the FB page….. it just seems very, very “odd”. To me, it feels like Greg has a substitute writer for him at the moment. And, it doesn’t seem likely to be Karen either, as I tend to think she has a more consistently “Greg” feel too. Just odd. I hope it not something problematic going on.

that is true, heck, just show him some footage of her acting like the queen of Karens at the Fuse and he’ll see her true colors. A smart phone set to discreetly record her for 10 minutes when she’s away from him will solve this problem.

Okay, no way is Ann going to have a baby. Not even adoption. She wouldn’t want to go through the whole pregnancy thing again, lose her figure, and raising kids? But she could pretend to have a baby to get married.

At this point, if you “undumb” Tom, what would be left of him? And if he ditches Ann and starts to treat Tiffany like a princess again, she might revert to her unlikeable teenage persona – which would be more serious for an adult. Tiff – The Fuse is a good start into a new life as an adult – light it!

There are old photos of my best bud from college and his ex-wife, smiling and happy – in love. She was cheating on him like crazy the whole time. Some people are born actors, and what you see is not always what you get.

I don’t think Ann is insane. She’s conniving and shrewd. Les may be softening, at least sporadically, but it’s a stretch to think Ann developed scruples.

Okay, let’s back the truck up for a minute. Let’s put aside the fact that Ann is an evil, manipulating, man-eating shrew. Let’s even put aside the fact that we all know this isn’t going to end well. Tom loves Ann. And, for all we know, there is a part of Ann’s evil little heart that loves Tom. I know. I know. It’s a stretch. It almost sounds as if Ann’s behavior is out of fear rather than evil intent. She’s not getting any younger. Tom’s got money, and he’s willing to treat her like a queen. What if she’s just afraid that there ain’t enough love to go around? Is she really pregnant? I doubt it. I guess one of my questions is, when did this strip become so dang “adult?” It used to be about a kid named Luann and her family, and now we’re all debating the machinations of the adults in the strip. I still say, whichever it is, there’s something rotten in Denmark.

I’m getting tired of the soap opera aspects of this, too. We need to wrap up Ann once and for all and take a Loooong break from her. And when or when is Luann going to become interesting? She hasn’t done a darn exciting thing since that monster truck show with Jack and Tara. I wish they hadn’t ended the Luann and Tara friendship so abruptly. Tara was edgy but that was kind of good for Luann. Luann needs some new friends STAT! And some new adventures.

“UNsane” would mean the same as “INsane.” I think he means “UNinsane” vs “UNdumb,” but that doesn’t sound as good.

Tiffany, your dad’s just getting his candle waxed, and it feels too good to turn down.

You’re talking to the wrong person. TJ knows how to get under Ann’s skin.

This does not bode well. Tiff and Leslie are not up to such a major task—at least not by themselves.

More drastic measures and a wider alliance are needed!
