“Me thinks the lady doth protestith too much” or in this case, Nancy doesn’t protest at all. Enjoy some attention from the opposite sex Nancy, you sure aren’t getting it at home.
It took an extremely long time to get back to Dez and the garden last time. I wonder how long we have to wait to get back to the Tiff, Gun, and Bets dinner storyline this time.
Interesting. Luann is not threatened by a man flirting with her mom. Most children would, knowing that kind of thing could lead to divorce or problems in a marriage. Looks like Luann is 1. Desperate for excitement, 2. Overconfident that her parents’ marriage is solid, 3. Figured their marriage is solid because Nancy shared with her husband as most spouses don’t, or 4. Empathizes with her mom because her dad is a boring guy and is encouraging her to share in hopes of her dad getting worried and act.
Gotta side with Dad on this one. I know a woman at any age likes to feel attractive to other men, and we ARE happy for you, but your guy does NOT want to hear about it. The other guy will always be a low-key sleaze to us, no matter how good intentioned they are.
Hmm, I just wonder if Nancy will feel the same way if (and a very likely one at that) “Mr Dreamy” shows up at The Fuse again tomorrow night. Right now it appears to be a bit of fun for her and a humbling experience for Frank but I can see a couple of directions in which this arc can go and one might involve Nancy realizing her admirer is a bit too “attentive” if ya catch my drift……. For now though it is harmless an the only thing get hurt a bit is Frank’s ego….
Frank should be grateful. Your problems start when your spouse stops telling you when others hit in them. The important thing is that she still comes home to him.
This makes me smile ♡. Mother and daughter are immediately on the same page, Frank… no. It’s so good to see the family get together and talk about Nancy’s experiences at work. Nancy was right, this job is good for her ♡. Let’s just hope the charming man becomes a friend and not a stalker.
Really? How Fun! – Luann, Adult child/slacker & row, row, row your boat nightmare – Frank Degroot. A weird combination. Where is the another daughter, Bernice?
Ive been to many bars and while some bartenders will chat with patrons , its only because the bar is dead and they are bored or they know the customer and its a quick nicety. But if the bar is packed, they certainly dont have time to gab . And last but not least, its their workplace and not the place for frivolity on their part- to flirt with them and come on to them would be an insult and a form of harrassment , ive never known a bartender especially female react the way Nancy is reacting. If anything, they would be extremely put off by such behavior not bragging about it.
OK… So how would Nancy like it if Frank came home and started gloating that some gorgeous woman was hitting on him? … it would turn out to be WW3, methinks..
I’m not sure which of these two I like least, now. The husband who doesn’t listen to his wife, or the wife who openly indulges a flirt, knowing that it’s making her husband uncomfortable.
This has been a long tme coming (I’ve been waiting for this one) …. super attractive Nancy working behind the bar on the night shift….. how fun! How weird that Frank never saw this one coming. I wonder how many hits Pru got.
This family is so incredibly rude. Frank is a self-obsessed bore, Luann is a lazy moocher and now Nancy has become an inconsiderate fool. It’s one thing to tell your husband a guy flirted with you, it’s quite another to have fun discussing it right in front of him. Unless, of course, you liked it and don’t care what it does to your marriage. If that’s the case, go ahead and talk about it for a couple of weeks
A few months ago, my wife told me that a guy hit on her. She made it clear that she was flattered but not interested, so no problems for me at all! My response: “Well, I can’t fault him for his taste!” and we got a big laugh out of it. Guys, if you wife is hot enough that guys are hitting on her, and she never leads them on and makes it clear she’s not interested, what’s the problem? That you have a hot wife???
A few months ago, my wife reported to me that a dude hit on her. She made it clear immediately that she was flattered but not interested. Guys, if a someone hits on your wife, and she’s not leading them on and makes it clear she’s not interested, what’s the problem? That you have a hot wife who’s faithful to you???
Why is he so upset? He should be flattered that he’s married to such a beautiful woman! She’s not trying to hide it from him or even shows any kind of interest in the guy… I don’t get the denial or annoyance he’s showing.
Frank is being very foolish! I knew it was just a matter of time before this happened. I’m also wondering if this dreamy guy isn’t Tom Farrell back on the market after Ann.
Frank has a trophy wife, what does he expect? If he had the Stanley Cup, would he hide it in the basement? Nancy enhances Frank’s image as a lucky stud.
April 25th last year, Nancy was reveling in flirtatious comments about being too young to serve bar. So this one says “beautiful” and is “charming” and “very nice” and is “dreamy.”
So Nancy is susceptible to the right line?!?
♬If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me?♬
I waited until late for this one. Wondering if I should have waited even longer. All three characters are behaving poorly, though Frank, by far, takes the cake.
This performance makes Gunther look good even at his worst.
I’ll actually go ahead and say it: This is painful to watch.
Love that Luann and her Mom can have a conversation about this. Frank somehow reminds me of Gunther. I would think many women in their late 40’s wouldn’t mind a complement, as long as it isn’t by a stalker or gets obnoxious. Frank would do well to pay attention instead of acting like a kid.
I can’t believe yesterday’s Dad’s comment of, essentially, “I can’t believe some guy actually hit on you” didn’t get more of a response from the missus.
