Interesting. Luann is not threatened by a man flirting with her mom. Most children would, knowing that kind of thing could lead to divorce or problems in a marriage. Looks like Luann is 1. Desperate for excitement, 2. Overconfident that her parents’ marriage is solid, 3. Figured their marriage is solid because Nancy shared with her husband as most spouses don’t, or 4. Empathizes with her mom because her dad is a boring guy and is encouraging her to share in hopes of her dad getting worried and act.

Frank isn’t doing well at the register. Things don’t seem to register with him.

In the middle panel, Frank is all “whatever”. By the last panel, he’s gone into “shields up” mode.

It’s nice to be admired when you have been married a long time. Doesn’t mean it’s going to break up their marriage.

Gotta side with Dad on this one. I know a woman at any age likes to feel attractive to other men, and we ARE happy for you, but your guy does NOT want to hear about it. The other guy will always be a low-key sleaze to us, no matter how good intentioned they are.

Right now it appears to be a bit of fun for her and a humbling experience for Frank but I can see a couple of directions in which this arc can go and one might involve Nancy realizing her admirer is a bit too “attentive” if ya catch my drift……. For now though it is harmless an the only thing get hurt a bit is Frank’s ego….

Ive been to many bars and while some bartenders will chat with patrons , its only because the bar is dead and they are bored or they know the customer and its a quick nicety. But if the bar is packed, they certainly dont have time to gab . And last but not least, its their workplace and not the place for frivolity on their part- to flirt with them and come on to them would be an insult and a form of harrassment , ive never known a bartender especially female react the way Nancy is reacting. If anything, they would be extremely put off by such behavior not bragging about it.

He should be happy she’s being open and honest about it.

A few months ago, my wife told me that a guy hit on her. She made it clear that she was flattered but not interested, so no problems for me at all! My response: “Well, I can’t fault him for his taste!” and we got a big laugh out of it. Guys, if you wife is hot enough that guys are hitting on her, and she never leads them on and makes it clear she’s not interested, what’s the problem? That you have a hot wife???

A few months ago, my wife reported to me that a dude hit on her. She made it clear immediately that she was flattered but not interested. My response: “Well, I can’t fault his taste!” and we had a good laugh about it. Guys, if a someone hits on your wife, and she’s not leading them on and makes it clear she’s not interested, what’s the problem? That you have a hot wife who’s faithful to you???

Why is he so upset? He should be flattered that he’s married to such a beautiful woman! She’s not trying to hide it from him or even shows any kind of interest in the guy… I don’t get the denial or annoyance he’s showing.
