I like tomatoes in some things… then again, I think it also depends on the quality and ripeness of the tomatoes.

Most of my cats seem to prefer ham over bacon, we usually have the Publix Tavern, Serrano, Sweet or Virginia Ham. They seem to be as good as Boar’s Head but are less expensive. The cats do not seem discriminate as far as which ham is best though an opened can of chunk light or chunk white tuna in spring water is tops on their list!

Okay, I know what I’m making for breakfast. Except I’ll pass on the ham, the cats can have my share.

I did a lol at Elvis’s ’Excuse me!’ And melted a little at Lupin’s sweet ear and ‘Lupinbeans’.

So Lupin was found. I wonder where he was hiding. Neither of our cats have any interest in bacon. Blackjack scarfs down shredded chees in the morning.

I’m with Puck when it comes to tomatoes. They are evil. They make my mouth itch unless they have been heavily processed. Ketchup is fine. Tomato soup is divine. Marinara sauce can be sublime. But raw tomato? Blech!

Yea! Bacon (and stuff) sandwiches! Our fur babies line up and are the best of friends when it’s time for ham slivers or bacon.

Not quite Bacon, but Ham works … just so long as it’s not “Hem” (harkening back to the “Kebble” dilemma from last week.) “Hem” is probably even worse than “Facon”, as far as cats are concerned.

I bet the woman is making breakfast biscuit sandwiches. Tomato is an interesting addition and I think it would work. However, if you want to make something really good, homemade breakfast burritos are awesome (though a lot of work).

Miz Furbie has never liked human food, very strange cat. Persnickity, you know? Anyway, recently I’ve been on a ham sandwich kick and all of a sudden she is like all OVER me while I’m trying to eat. I finally tore off a piece last night and she quite gobbled it up! Nice to know, after 12 years, she’s a real cat;)

Does Puck like any veggies? Hssss to tomatoes, nope to lettuce, and he was dismayed by the green bean that the Boy slipped him from the dinner table.

Just reminding newbies that the Sunday strip is a standalone, not related to the Monday-Saturday strips. So even tho you see Lupin today, he’ll was missing yesterday and he’ll be missing again tomorrow.

I was still waiting for the “big re-appearance” of Lupin. I became so intrigued by this series that I read Ms. Dunn’s bio-beginings thingy. The name Breaking Cat News is so appropos after reading that! I’m so buying those books as time and budget allow.

Partner actually ran out to McDonalds and brought back a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit for him and an Egg McMuffin for me. Cindy smelled the food and actually got on our laps to investigate, such a rare occurrence that I told Partner to give her a bite of bacon. The old meanie refused to share so I gave Cindy a bit of Canadian bacon (which to me is pretty much ham) from my sandwich. She happily gobbled it down and then returned to her room for a nap.

Cheese, eggs, ham, tomatoes, just need the beans and black pudding for a full English breakfast. Yumm! Or substitute Haggis and make it Scottish. If you’re in the Mid-Atlantic, use Habbersett’s scrapple.

Puck has a very strong opinion about tomatoes! I can’t remember the last time we’ve seen him hiss at something.

Katie had a bit of ham today at lunch. She also had a ‘spa day’ yesterday. She got her nails trimmed and her hair combed at the vet. She won’t let me do the combing and trimming. And I don’t have a hazmat suit to try and take her on. LOL.

Dexter, an extremely neurotic tuxedo, once stole a slice of roast beef from the cutting board. He was delighted. Our daughter, then in 6th grade, got him a toy hedgehog for Christmas and named it Roast Beef. She said to him, “Dex, I got you Roast Beef for Christmas.”

Well, we know how Puck feels about tomato on a breakfast sandwich. Can’t say I blame him. Unless it’s ketchup, I’m not a big fan of tomato on a breakfast sandwich. Now tomato on Welsh rarebit, that’s a blushing bunny. Completely different. Blushing bunny and tomato gravy with biscuits make good breakfast dishes. But I don’t do breakfast sandwiches with tomato on them. Closest I’ve come to liking tomato on a breakfast sandwich was an Einstein’s Bagel everything bagle with tomato, lox, and capers on top of it. Though that I wouldn’t even classify as an open face sandwich.

I have for long wondered why cat food companies make no bacon or ham flavored foods. Dogs have pig flavors but cats only get fish or fowl!
