Tara’s Back!!

Long time, no see, Tara. What mayhem will you cause this week?

The last time Luann and Tara got together things did not go well. Still I remain hopeful for this story,

Nice to see Tara finally finished her nap on Luann’s sofa. lol I wonder ….will someone end up getting an arrow injury, shortly?!?

Hey Tara’s back. I thought she went to live with friends in Utah. Last we saw her she fell asleep on Luann’s couch. I wonder she’s living now and if her cousin’s in prison?

Just as predicted- Tara is back from Utah!

Evans’, you don’t need my approval but I thinknyoure doing great. Even Luann’s posture is different. She’s just in her element.

Looks like Tara did NOT go to Utah as some of “Us” suspected she wouldn’t.

Kids with Bow and Arrows.

I remember once upon a time, kids would have those bow and arrow sets complete with arrows with suction cups on the tips. And nobody had a “problem” with it. Of course, back then, it was okay for kids to play with realistic-looking cap guns.

Nowadays? I dunno.

Luann might be right. This is probably not a good idea.

It might not even be a good idea for the kid to say “shoot something,” either ;-)

No, I always walk around with a bag of arrows on my back.

The kid on the right with the glasses looks like he could be Principal Purgus’ kid. (Purgus is the principal of the school they are at)

William Tell: a great story, though not the last word in gaining the trust of little ones.

Tara is back we could have good couple of weeks.

Maybe Tara wants to be Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt.

Finally we get to see Luann back at work.

This will end well.

Don’t do a William Tell. You’ll end up like William Burroughs. I’m a little surprised that Luann is still doing this job that I haven’t seen her do in what seems like forever!

No! No! Tara – Don’t do it! (she might)…

So Tara? Guess her cousin is in jail and she feels safe to return from Utah. And its confirmed Luann still works at Kids First. Some of us in here wondered. Hope Tara could help Luann find her career path which was the topic of last week’s strips. But Greg is not known for his sense of continuity.

Thank goodness we’re off the subject of selfish college girls having sex. That Steph almost made me miss Ann Awful.

I was wondering if or whether Tara was going to reappear tending toward when and lo and behold! Whether she went to Utah or not (never totally clear to me) I figured her character is serious about college, and is taking every opportunity to do in spite obstacles. Good to see Luann with the kids. No shooting an apple of a kid.

I really hope the colorist just got the color of her hair wrong and she really did not dye it strawberry.

It’s nice to see the children playing outside school for once. I’m happy to see that Tara is still in town and she seems to be fine ♡. She and Luann met casually, but I hope this is the beginning of a story where the two will do something crazy and fun together while talking about their plans for the future.

Lets find out what Tara has been up to! First off, if she has a new place I wonder who her roomie is: just a guess here but what if it is Jack or Nil? Hopefully anything to liven the strip up after last week.

I thought Tara went to Utah because she had nowhere to live…?

Do we have the beginning of a new arc …… or …… is this the ninth Sunday strip in a row? Time will tell, I suppose.

Tara’s an instant hit with those kids. Luann fading into the background once again, although having a “guest proctor” could help keep the kids’ attention.

Those kids look creepy… And I thought Shannon looked bad!

“Shoot this penny off my tongue!”

“… Were you doing your archery class?”

“Nah, I’ve branched out into contract killing. Got a deadbeat dad two years behind in child support and ignoring a restraining order. Next time he violates the perimeter…”

Tara is back and she’s taken up a new skill.

Little girl – “I’ll go get Ms. Tiffany from the office, the top of her head is flat to hold it.”

The consensus seems to be that Tara is back.

I thought “Kid’s First” was a daycare. Why are they at an Elementary School?

Kind of hard to shoot an arrow without a propellant. I don’t see her bow!

Well, this is a strip with a lot of info. First, Luann is in school somewhere (I’m betting it’s Pitts C.C.) and she now has an after school job as a teachers’ aide(?) at Lincoln Elementary. That’s a new school name BTW. This probably means she is still pursuing a teaching degree; maybe in the art and drama? Once again we see Luann in the company of pre- and/or primary school-aged children. Reinforcing the teaching trajectory that Luann is on, apparently.

The Kids 1st “t”/sweater is a bit puzzling. I thought that was a day care or private enrichment facility.

Second, this is the first appearance of Tara since March of this year. I, as one of many, am glad to see her return. Apparently Utah was merely an escape plan from her, now incarcerated, cousin and Tara is firmly ensconced in the constellation of Luann’s friends. I’m hoping Jack will also make an appearance soon.

Tara reappearing with her archery gear is interesting. Tara was first introduced as an archery enthusiast in Nov. 2017 and taking our eponymous deb to the range. Archery is mentioned again in Sep 2018 and June 2019. Apparently someone in the Evans family is an archery fan. This may be a hint into where this week’s direction.

Quick Luann, think fast or else………

Wait, what’s happening? Luann works at a school? Tara does archery? Are these things that have been set up before? I’m not saying they weren’t; I honestly don’t remember. Well, it’s a story about Luann with Tara this time and not Bernice/ Bets/ Stef/ Tiff, so I’ll take it.

What could go wrong?

Ah Tara! A breath of fresh! What a rascal! I just love her.I personally think her and Luann make a great story line.She gives Lu a different prospective. Always a entertaining time when Tara shows up.

In my archery class the school supplied the equipment. We couldn’t walk off with it like that

Tara never went to Utah and Luann has had her Kids 1st job all along. A lot of commenters seemed to think otherwise on both issues.

I’m with 1212 who suggested that it is unclear whether Tara ever left.

So, the biggest grin I get is that a lot of you have guessed that Tara must have taken one heck of a nap on that couch!

So…did Tara take up the Green Arrow mantle? (or maybe the Speedy mantle might be more appropriate.)

The tall kid with the glasses is going to be mayor of a small town in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Good haircut not required, but must know how to operate a monster snow blower.

William Tell used a crossbow, not a regular bow. Crossbows are easier to aim and require less training. People really need to read their legends more carefully before someone gets an arrow in the eye.

Try bringing a bow and arrow to an elementary school (especially one where none of the kids are yours) and see how well that goes for you. At bare minimum I’m pretty sure Luann would be fired from her daycare job by this time tomorrow.

Just make sure William doesn’t tell.

This will not end well.

Let’s hope what’s-her-face is a better shot than William Burroughs…

looks like Tara did not move to Utah, since her cousin got locked up and is no longer a threat (I presume). So last week painted the back drop for Luann and her feelings about college. Now, hopefully, we get a complete arc that focuses on Luann and the parts of her life that we don’t see (very often). A lot of people see Tara and immediately think “trouble” but I’m not assuming that.

She should just ask the kids to point out the principal’s window

and the kids are going to want to place the apple on Luann’s head.

My take on this new arc? WOOT, YEAH!!! Teach the young’uns archery! It’s an awesome, inclusive sport!
