I wish she wouldn’t do that. Now all her young fans will feel obliged to post idealized family photos of their own, spoiling whatever real stuff they were really doing.

An interesting thought about the Gulag: why does it exist. Mr. Gray has a large house. Not mansion sized or anything but propably over 2000 sq. ft. Now I live in a dinky house but we still have three bedrooms. Dinky bedrooms but bedrooms none the less. Mr. Grey’s house must have at least three bedrooms as well. Since he and Irma sleep in the master bedroom that leaves a room each for Leslie and Gunther, So why did he build a separate house for them? And if he wanted to keep the creep Leslie away from Irma (as I certainly would) he could have stuck the boys in Irma’s old house, which was bought and paid for instead of spending a bundle of money to get the zoning variance for a guest house and building it. If room was an issue he could have more cheaply put an extensive on his house. Like too many things in this strip the Gulag is an unnecessary, complicating fabrication.

I’m surprise that greg Evans didn’t pick the DeGroot family for his Xmas wishes

Maybe they don’t know yet but this just might be their first family picture for years to come. They’ll look at it and say, wow Grandpa Al and Grandma Irma looked so young. Uncle Les looked like a greaser. Uncle Gunther and Aunt Bets (to Les’s kids) weren’t married yet. Mom and dad were a young college couple. Bets might have taken it for her SM followers but it might become a family treasure.

What a happy family! Even Les is, almost, smiling ♡! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

This is the strip we get for Christmas? The extended Berger/Gray family with Bets being pretty much the only one smiling? And the main character nowhere to be seen- and yes, I know this is the arc we’ve been in all week, Sure we’ll see the DeGroot family Sunday. Merry Christmas to all.

Where’s Luann?

Well, at least half of the table is smiling (Punk being the tie). Irma is… sort of… smiling… but then married folks do tend to look like each other after awhile.

To all who have lost a loved one, I wish you a gentle holiday with fond memories and blessings.

So, I get it, they’re letting us know that Bets will probably be a permanent part of Gunther’s family. But, as I often mention, it’d be nice to see Luann in a Luann comic strip, especially on a holiday. I’m sure there’ll be a nice Christmas to-do for tomorrow’s Sunday strip, but still.

Don’t forget – Tiffany helped to bring us this moment by arranging a surprise meeting with Bets and Gunther and tinkling those chimes. Amazing how interesting Tiffany became after a period of shutting down and getting fat.
