Frank should be gracious about the years spent bringing up Luann. Without her they would be spending the next 19 years trying to figure out how to install that project.
I’m with them. Why do they keep changing it every 6 months when it works fine? I did computers for 20 years, but they keep getting LESS intuitive, not more.
Like debit cards. Swipe it. No, now you insert it. No, now you tap it. Just pick one and stay with it. They’re ALL simple.
This is an interesting comment on how tech-savvy young people are today. Unfortunately, they don’t have any other important qualities to go with it – like, motivation, work ethic, perseverance, generosity or empathy.
Just wait until your Windows 10 quad core 64 bit computer’s mother board ceases to function, & have to buy I learn how to navigate a windows 11 computer. This very analog 86 year old finds it easier to play Bach’s Joy on his 5-string & tenor banjos.

And to think these are the sort of people who grew up around computers all their lives. I started off on computers playing games on Apple IIs when I was in elementary school in the 80s.
I’m the one doing this for the older people in the family. I am 58. I can’t wait until the technology gets too far ahead for me and I can annoy the heck out of the younger generations.
It is standard for comic strip parents to be computer illiterate, still listen to 60s music, protested the Vietnam War and dressed as hippies despite the fact they were in high school/college in the 80/90s.
B.S. Frank, what have you ever ‘invested’, especially when it comes to Luann? If you could, you would’ve hidden those 19 years under your bed. And most of the time invested came from Nancy, seeing as you spend so little time with her, except to complain!
If Bernice is this tech-savvy, why did she set up a binder system? Nancy should be asking her daughter to digitize her bookkeeping/accounting for the Fuse.
Are Luann’s parents over 80 or something? Because people with kids around 18-25 years old should be computer-literate also, since they’ve been around for over 40 years now.
A commenter on another site put it pretty well: “I suppose it’s the usual phenomenon where comic-strip parents are meant to be identifiable by the septuagenarian audience, so they behave like boomers and not like the millennials they really should be.”
Bought a new iPad last year but ended up taking it back because it was too much trouble to set up. Well, granddaughter was here over Christmas so I bought a new on and in about 15 minutes it was up and going!!! Family tech support. Our son is a techie too but doesn’t have the patience—“Dad, I showed you how to do that last time.”
Tomorrow: We find out that Bets is seven months pregnant. Gunther, you rascal, better find out if the wedding chapel in Vegas that your mother and Al Gray used is still available.

I’m thinking they probably should have called Luann on over 25 minutes ago. lol
This is a valid point. Young people are way faster figuring out computer stuff than middle aged people and seniors.
Hey… we finally know Luann’s official age…. 19. It was between 19 or 20.
Did Frank steal one of Gunther’s shirts? lol

Thank Luann for keeping you from getting the blue screen of death.
Apart from knowing that Luann is 19, I don’t know if it was already established but Frank is also left-handed.
Uncle Kenny about 2 years ago
Luann’s current age revealed, which would make her a sophomore. Which would make Bernice, Gunther, Ox, and Tiffany also 19 and sophomores.
kenhense about 2 years ago
There it is – Luann is only 19. She ages about one year per decade.
