NOW I am intrigued! His life wasn’t safe? He was running from something? That explains why he couch-surfed. It just has to be his roommate. He did not want to be in their dorm room, felt unsafe around him so he couch surfed through college that year. Maybe that roommate is the reason he moved to the CC rather than returning to Moony.

Granted they are weirdo’s. But, why is Bernice more or less beating the guys off of her and Luann has a ZERO love life.

And I really HOPE that when you meet Walt-Piro, that Nil will be seated in a nearby table with some other gal.

Sigh… And with that, my hope that Luann and Bernice’s toxic friendship could come to an end is gone. Bernice will go to meet Piro and Luann will be the one who will encourage and cheer for her, as always, despite the rudeness with which her friend treats her because she wants her to be happy and she’s s more important than a crush on a boy. I fear Bernice will continue to haunt her life for years to come. I’m sorry that Piro risks ending up with an emotional time bomb and getting caught up in her weird relationship with Nil, but it’s true that Bernice had bee nice to him.

Luann has been wearing that lilac/purple sweater since 2-24-23. I’ll be SO glad when she changes clothes!

So glad to see this comic strip now has a Drama King! I don’t see what Bernice did for Piro that was so miraculous, unless telling the truth to the campus cops about his whereabouts was some kind of special something. Sure, she risked, and probably lost, the RA position because of it, but telling the truth is something that people need to do all the time, with less reservation and without self-interests being involved. Luann should be ashamed of her sleezy actions with Bernice’s letter (and she needs to go to the eye doctor).

Some quick editing there Bernice. Now what does Piro really want to meet you for? It’s not like he wants to pick up right where you two left off, correct? Which was someplace between first and second, as I recall.

What you say and what you feel deep down can be very different things. The louder and more emphatically Bern states that she’s not interested in Piro the more she just trying to tell herself that and suppress what’s deep down.

That’s a very nice letter. Piro is sweet. So sweet that he DEFINITELY deserves better than Luann and Bernice. Luann just sees him as a badboy she wants without really focusing on anything substantial about him aside from him being an archetype, and Bernice has been acting like he’s a lollypop she dropped into a mud pile.

Come to find out that Piro has been staying with his older sister who is Shannons’ mom. That wraps up a few loose ends & gets more air time for Shannon & Bernice.

FYI, there ARE other explanations besides Piro being romantically interested in Bernice. And Bernice doesn’t exactly inspire romantic interest.

I don’t think Bernice was expecting gratitude and a coffee invitation. Her eyebrow is raised and voice trailing seems to express disbelief and surprise.I hope she’s honest with herself, if she understands her feelings at all. She did enjoy her time with him, even tho the kiss was interrupted.

I forget exactly what Bernice did for Piro. I recall she let him sleep in her dorm one night. Didn’t Piro also sleep in other people’s rooms? What did Bernice do that gave him a new start?

somehow the idea of someone feeling warm and fuzzy over that pretty glacier hearted woman makes me queasy.

Seriously, how did she ever make him feel, ‘safe’? She had a bit of a crush on him, because he was dark & mysterious, but I can’t remember any instant that would have brought that emotion.

Sounds like he’s getting his life together. I hope so! And maybe Berniece will rediscover hidden feelings for him. Berniece and Piro is a much better match than Luann and Piro, although none of these people are ready for a real relationship!

I, for one, hope this means Bernice finally gets into a passionate relationship, that helps and hurts both heavily, but they come out better because of it.

Same song, different dance. Is Piro interested in Bernice or does he consider her a friend who helped him when everyone else walked out. This is Greg, so I say the latter … but the buildup will be how Bernice thinks its a romantic meeting and Piro to thank her for being a friend.

I am sure they will meet for coffee at The Fuze, since there are no other stores in Pitts. Where Tiffany will see them together, who then will meet Nil at Mooney in their new/now/never seen before shared aerobics class.

I dont think Luann or Bernice have come to the realization, that their besties relationship is becoming toxic. Time for Bernice to move back to the dorms. they need a break from each other.
