Bets is Back!! So what are they going to binge? Star Trek?

The snacks look good. It’ll be interesting to see how Bets and Gunther get along after all they have been through.

Sigh. I suppose it was only a matter of time before we had to get back to DORM DRAMA WITH THE MOONY ROOMIE. I am grateful, though, that we got as long of a break from this arc as we did, it really broke up the monotonous pattern GnK got us into for the past couple of years.

So disappointed in the New Years Resolution sequence. The Luann Bernice confrontation is becoming a trope of its own. 8^ (

So it appears she’s moved out of the Gulag and the “new routine” involves the dorm quad. How can they get any privacy there?

Bets looks incredibly hot in her jammies. How could Gunther resist?

Looks like a promising new thread, compared to somewhat boring ones of the last few weeks. Skipped Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve.

For a “Noon binge sesh” Gunter is quite late, as it is almost 1:30PM, per the clock on the tower in the first panel.

Since when did Bets enjoy the routine? Wasn’t she the one who wanted adventure? Is Gunther going to suddenly have wanderlust? I smell a breakup coming, or at least a disappointment for Bets. It’s the old “nothing goes as planned” shtick.

It’s Monday! Why did I get up before noon? Who won SNF? When does the pregame for tonight’s Championship begin?

If it is, I wager that Stef is plenty PO’d that Bets and Gunther use it so much!! Serves her right!!

Is Bets trying to pretend she enjoys dull routine to please Gunther? If so, she’s going typically overboard to once again force him into something he probably doesn’t want. They’re still going to have to recalibrate their relationship if it’s going to work.

Sounds like she’s trying real hard to convince herself let alone Gunther.

The cold front must have “rolled in”. More people are hunkering down together under blankets in front of the screen.

Bets seems happy with her life as a former infliencer, but what does Gunther think? It would be funny if he’s the one missing the time when they were podcasting about series they love and (most importantly) showing everyone the cosplays he and Bets did. I wonder if their time together will be ruined by Stef, or made more cheerful by Dez and Tiffany joining them in the binge shes. I would like to see Gunther more involved in Bets and Tiffany’s college life. They are a great trio.

They need a coffee table.

Bets has always liked science fiction and fantasy stuff. And she and Gun have always watched it together.

Upon further thought, and reading a few more comments, I get the impression that this is part of a dream. Bets will wake up, and realize that it is over with her and G-man. I get the sense that this arc will go all the way into mid-February, when a new gal will be revealed on Gunther’s arm. Place your bets…and for my Wolverines tonight: BET.

uh oh!! Gunther can’t make it and Kip shows up early for his visit with Stef – but Stef is still at exercise class. He sits on sofa with her. Tiffany walks in and gets jealous and …. Never mind – I’ll let G&K write the story.

Something about this disturbs me. Maybe “sesh.”

Bets would make a good food server. She is very skilled at carrying food, 2 beverages, a laptop, pillows and a blanket.

prediction: Gunther being late and not texting/calling is a sign of something wrong ….

I’m comfortable with comfy.

Panel 3 speaks volumes. Bets is trying to convince herself that comfy is her new way of life. It’s quite apparent that she is missing her old life.

Cartoon is getting boring.

So Bets and her social media lent some drama to the strip. Without that I wonder what’s going to happen now.

Bright noontime skies, well lit room, squeaky clean PJ’s that don’t have easy access buttons. That Greg really knows how to set a provocative scene for romance.

I thought Bets and Gunther broke up.

Sorry I don’t have time to read today, as this has probably been addressed numerous times above. I think she’s trying to convince herself she loves comfy and cozy. Which means she’s trying, but hasn’t really changed.

Yep with Bets comments are sure to increase. No mobile, all the comfy things. Is that Bets? Oh, and no doubt she is the hottest female drawn in this strip.

Starting off being comfy on the couch binging something, which can lead them to being comfy doing something else-if they have enough time, and, privacy.

I feel like I’m missing something because I really really do not understand what the punchline/gag here is.

Bets is talking to Gunther on the Phone!! She is controlling him! SARCASM.

The way Bets has that top bowl on the couch, it spilled onto the popcorn and it looks like it’s now spilling over the edge of the popcorn bowl, onto the blanket, and from there, will it drip onto the laptop, maybe causing damage which threatens their “binge sesh”?

Am I missing a joke here?
