For those who missed Georgia’s post in the chat late Monday:
Author and comics historian Glenn Fleishman will be interviewing Georgia to talk about comics, the process behind creating the strip, and Glenn’s upcoming book “How Comics Were Made”.
That will be livestreamed Tuesday, March 5 at 1:00 pm EST, 10:00 am PST. Link to the livestream on Glenn’s YouTube channel — https://www.youtube.Com/live/FqJyyy54b8E
A 47-act opera would be a radical development in the history of music. One composed in the amount of time that has elapsed plot-wise even more so. Clearly, Iggy is an incredible genius.
Hello everyone! My talk with Glenn Fleishman is just a little under two hours away! Thank you so much to folks who found a way to share the link here! The Daily Cartoonist wrote an article about the talk this morning and shared the link there too (dailycartoonist dot com). The Daily Cartoonist has been wonderfully supportive during the comics-restructuring frustrations, to BCN and other comics affected. I appreciate their efforts so much to try and get the word out and eyes on our BCN and others! This should be a fun (and surely interesting!) talk today, I hope you get a chance to tune in!
O.T. Facebook is down in many places. It’s made the news so it’s being worked on. I am putting this here in case your facebook and/or instagram are down. It’s not your computer.
We could use a little Orb power here. Tule Moon has a sinus infection. She’s Had it since December, and so far it has shown itself to be antibiotic resistant. Cultures showed the pathogens to be e. coli (!) and some myco-bacteria. She just started yet another round of antibiotics, one for 20 days and one for 30. I’m hoping some healing energy will help the drugs to work. Thank you.
Lots of “down” sites today. I noticed. As we are also down, namely up to our wazzoo’s in snow here with no let up in sight I am noticing all the down websites I usually miss. Cabin fever is hitting hard as this is our 6th day snowed in!

There’s lots of wonderful music in opera, but you usually can’t hear it because there is a stage full of people screaming and shouting.

47 acts? I didn’t know operas came in mini-series format. Actually, mini-series are that long even

An Excerpt From Iggy’s Opera: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom
Beneath the big boo-roo
Hid Ora Z
With Puck and Elvis there
She purred with glee
And does she purr again?
For now we find
The Phantom of the big boo-roo
Is stuck and we all mind!
Elvis: I wait with dignity
For help to come
Let there no laughter be
Do not succumb!
Goldie: He’s there, the Phantom of the Boo-Roo
Aware, the Phantom of the Boo-Roo
Must fetch the Woman now
To come and help
A most unfortunate hand
Elvis was dealt!
And now that Ora Z has had her fun
It’s time to release our Phantom now!
For everyone!
Sing, bring Woman to the rescue
Mew, purr, meow, and maybe a hiss too!
Sing, we must help Elvis
Mew, purr, meow, and maybe a hiss too!
Sing, and give us ham!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Back at the Palace
Obadiah Opossum: Folks, I’d like you to meet my friend, Dooky Ferret.
Thomios: Pleased to meet you. Your friends were all worried about you.
Dooky: Nice to meet you all. Guys, I’m so glad you’re alright!
Beatrixia: Would you like to introduce us?
Ferret #1: I’m Tinker. Over to you.
Ferret #2: I’m Evers! Next.
Ferret #3: I’m Chance. And we’re all quite a team.
Tinker: How did you manage during the dust storm?
Dooky: I thought I was doomed, then I found a lopsided pyramid. There Mandy and Lynn let me know where the pantry was.
Evers: I’m glad you’re safe. Sorry about your hat, though.
Obie Opossum: Not to worry. We have some of the best artisans in the Nile Valley.
Puckmosis: Not to mention that Louie-Nour is coming to visit from Afar.
Iggy: If he doesn’t know what’s cool, nobody does!
Bea: We just have to make sure not to startle him!

I love fat kitties,
There warm in the winter
And shady in the summer un-huh,
If you lay down besides em,
You automatically roll towards em,
So getting together is never a problem you see.
I love fat kitties,
If you get one with tattoos
You got moving pictures
It’s so great to go to the drive-in
And we never have to leave our house.
Check out the snack bar,
Don’t mind the reporter
Who’s interrupting the show
He’s had some catnip
He’s probably tripping.
WITH THANKS to the great Williams and Ree.
