I’m going to the pediatrician because I need to get my feet checked out.

The longer I read about Les, the more I like him. He can be rather endearing at times.

gynecology is the study of diseases of a woman’s reproductive organs. There is no way he could have found anything about his mother there. Maybe I’m being obtuse but this seems like the stupidest thing the Evans have published in a long time.

Well to quote Mr. Knox from a couple of days ago, “Is that a trick question?”

But hey, at least Knox is actually studying, so points for that.

And can you beat it? He’s studying stuff about his hated mom, Ann Eiffel.

Okay, I saw this going into a totally different direction when Les said he was studying Gynecology.

A gynecologist specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the female reproductive system. Les needs to go back to school?

Not that it has any thing to do with today’s comic (not that today’s comic has any thing to do with the week day comics) but I ws reading through some of th old comics an on April 8, 1986 Luann says she was born in 1973. Since its been said that she was 13 when th comic started it looks like th first 13 years of her life pretty much well ran in real time

For those criticizing Les for not knowing about one subject in particular, with so much material to learn and courses to take in the educational system, remember that not everything is covered. It also depends on the instructors, they are all different! Sheesh!

I wonder if Ann Eiffel’s ancestors were criminals or if she’s a special case. Les’s ignorance is big, so it’s nice to see him trying to learn something that requires historical research. Let’s hope he starts following Gunther’s suggestions.

Okay, this was an amusing one. Les’s first line in the second panel was flawless, and to borrow a phrase, “patented G&K misdirection.” A top-tier Luann Sunday strip.

I’d actually just been thinking that we’re supposed to believe that Gunther is the smartest person in the strip when day to day Les and T.J. (when he gets a chance to appear on panel) come across as a lot sharper and definitely wittier. I wonder if this is the cartoonists’ way of trying to correct that.

That is the funniest Sunday comic I’ve ever seen here!!

I had a sophomore boy in a physical science class twenty years ago whose insult du jour was “you’re such a d**che bag”. I called him into my office, and asked him if he knew what that was. He said “Sure. It’s that bag on airplanes you throw up in.” So I explained that was called a barf bag, and then explained what the other was. Poor kid turned absolutely white and said “OMG, that’s gross!” I reached up, patted him on the shoulder, walked him to the hall and gave him a note for his next teacher to excuse the tardy.

this would have been a hilarious gag before 2010, but it doesn’t work anymore. You can see he has a smart phone right in his hand, as soon as he put the word “gynecology” into his search engine he’d realize his mistake. (also when I was in college I was an ESS major, so I took MANY geology courses, the thing he THINKS is genealogy)

I think it’s cute. How dare they put something “funny” in something called a “comic”.

Aaaand that is as direct about sex as the Evanses will ever be.

Les doesn’t know one word from another. Gynecology-Geology/Genealogy… they all start with G. His mistakes are very in-keeping with his character.
