I read online that a lot of classic kids books (as in written in the 19th century) are being edited (changed) to remove anything upsetting for the Generation of the Offended. Funny how they leave the modern (living) authors alone! Only tyrants ban books.

I prefer the version of 3 Little Pigs done by Green Jellÿ. The umlaut makes the “y” into an “o”, btw.

I saw today that some place or other they’re canceling one of the fairy tails. Cinderella, I think? Because it’s too adult for the target audience. I’m okay with dropping it, though not for that reason, Rather because it’s all about teaching girls that the way to be successful is to tie yourself to a rich and handsome guy. This is neither realistic nor empowering.

For a much different take on the three little pigs and wolves, take a look at Suburban Fairy Tales. (It’s on the other major comic strip site.)

“Red As Blood” by Tanith Lee. The author takes the Disney princesses and makes them the baddies. Snow White is a vampire and Cinderella is a witch who drives the Prince insane.

There are slot machines in the casinos these days where the wolf does blow down several houses – each one revealing a winning amount of money.

This is exactly what is happening with Snow White. Drop the dwarves as not PC, she doesn’t need to wait for a prince to rescue her, and fair becomes a character trait since she is now Latino and not super pale skinned.

Will Rat be deported? Or expelled? It’s considered, by some, cool to be rude. Or soft to be considerate. There are a lot of different kinds of oxes in the world. Maybe you feel differently when it’s your ox that is gored.

Don’t worry! Wolves can come in and eat you now anytime they want now, Pig. All children’s stories will be exactly the same since deviation is too woke. Everybody thinking otherwise will disappear, but they will not call it cancel now. You voted for it. Enjoy!
