What’s the matter, Luann? Your phone out of battery and it’s taking its time to recharge? Is that why you can’t order the pizza yourself instead of your father?

The last panel is a strange reversal panel. Luann has the pizza poster pointed away from her father where he cannot read it. Also, his wedding ring is on his right hand instead of his left.

Lu you can’t order yourself instead asking your dad to.

I can see Shannon doing that with Brad, but not a 19 year old with her middle aged dad. Is Greg running out of ideas?

Well, you know the old saying: the eyes are the windows into the soul.

It’s not a question of Lu wanting her pop to order the pizza.

She wants him to PAY for it.

Oh, for Pete’s sake. She’s 19. She has a car. She has a job. If she wants a pizza just go out and get it! Greg is getting as bad as Brooke.

Luann is trying the Puddles’ strategy. I think she will succeed. Impossible to say no to that cute face with that sad look. Also, it’s nice that at least on Sundays her hair has the right color and not the too light one that the Sheriff has been using for some weeks.

This made me double-laugh. My niece (she’s the closest thing I’ll ever have to having my own kid) tried this move on me. Difference is it worked because we both love pizza!

Fortunately, Frank doesn’t have eyeballs, so he can’t see how his college aged daughter is acting like she has brain damage (with apologies to those with actual brain damage).

Luann, your parents can’t spoil you anymore. You’re a grown woman and you have to do things for yourself.

Please, oh please, transfer this girl to Mooney…or any university with a dorm. Now I didn’t always love dorm life but it taught me a lot and I could get pizza fairly regularly!

Luann won’t get any pizza because she isn’t whimpering. You gotta whimper to make it work.

As a Dad who raised 3 Daughters, puppy dog eyes ALWAYS worked for pizza.

Puddles is much cuter than a begging Luann. I feed my dog at the same time every day. She never has to beg for food.

Does anyone in the cast of usual suspects in the peanut gallery ever have room for a silly laugh? OMG this strip today was amusing as a silly little thing. But no the comments are all about ’Luann you are 19, Luann is acting like a 5 year old, Luann should just go out int he car and get her own. etc etc. and Greg has run out of ideas. is the other one. Give me a break!
