GBT is under no obligation to be objective. If he wants to say “bad” things only about the “right” and never (or rarely) about the “left,” that’s his business. I presume that no one’s forcing you to read the strip (or, for that matter, this forum post).

I certainly don’t expect “Mallard Fillmore” and other “conservative” comic strips to be objective, so I fail to see why you’d expect it of a “liberal” comic strip. When you expect “us” to be better than “you,” you’re saying quite a bit about yourselves. :-|

Could one of the people looking forward to the former guy’s reinstatement please point me to the section in Article II that allows for the “reinstatemnt” of a former president? I just reread the Constitution and I cannot find any such provision. This idea of “resinstating” the former prsident sounds more like a straightforward coup against the legal sitting government of the United States. Is this what you are waiting for, the oeverthrow of the our democracy? Crazy, “protecting” democracy by destroying it. Sort of like screwing to protect your chastity.

I feel like, as funny as it is that — in prior days gone by — we’d correctly laugh at the thought a previous president was expecting to be reinstated after losing the election, people are missing the fact that his disciples and acolytes attempted a failed coup on January 6th. And one thing you can be sure of with attempted coups, is that a single failed attempt does not deter the movement from trying again.

So while it should be funny, and we should be laughing about it, the first failed attempt means we should probably take the future attempts (and the corresponding dates they are giving us) as pretty hard evidence they’ll keep on trying to overthrow this government.
