Earl and Opal my kind of people. They drive a bullet nose Studebaker. Not sure of the year.

My doctor gave me my polyps pictures to explain what he found and did. Sorta interesting but would never show them to my friends.

How did he handle the three days without eating?I once drove someone to her appoint for this. She waited in the lobby with several other people – and the staff that day was having a potluck, also in the lobby, and all these people who haven’t eaten for three days got to smell all the food that was being kept warm on burners.

I’m having my next colonoscopy done in the IMAX format.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen their car. It fits them.

:( The doctor didn’t give ME any after the colonoscopy on Tuesday. Mind you, I don’t do anything with ’em except look closely. Once. And then put ’em into the trash.

A few weeks after my one and only colonoscopy, they did a capsule endoscopy (still trying to figure out where the bleeding was coming from, and never did). That’s where you swallow a capsule with a little strobe light and camera and it transmits each frame to a receiver on a chest harness. I asked them for a copy of the video so I could put it on YouTube but they never came through with it. (I was going to add music and some travel-channel narration….)

The amazing thing is that he’s kept that 70+ year old car running — and looking quite good.

After a certain age they tell you, that you no longer have to get one. I would think they would be at that age already.

I also remember those models. Compared to the boring sameness that is on the roads these days, they are standouts, as are many from the mid-20th.

Questions are, where in the world did he find someone who knew enough about it to repair it and where did that person find the parts?

5 out of 6 days this Feb. 14-19, 2022 week the Pickles daily strip was reruns with only the Tuesday strip a new strip.

I feel asleep 4 times on the way home from my colonoscopy so it’s a good thing that I wasn’t driving.

Love the looks of the Studebaker. My grandfather had one back in the 60’s. Most unfortunately, it was terrible mechanically. There was always something going wrong with it, and eventually he had to replace the engine.

Aww, come on, Opal! He paid enough for them and went through that horrible prep, he should get some fun with it!

Three days without food? That is unreal. My prep is never more than starting the afternoon before not eating and no liquids or solids starting at midnight of the day of. Always schedule so that I am the first one on the day of procedure. Sleep most of the afternoon ans back to work the next day.

If people’s lives are empty and meaningless enough to be interested in photos of other people’s meals, why not their colonoscopy???

My Doctor charges $50 to palpate my Prostate. Takes 30 seconds. That’s good $$.

I was so surprised when they handed me a photo! It was interesting and icky, at the same time. It was polyp-free so the photo showed good news.

Kudos to Pickles for broaching this subject. Colon cancer kills millions each year. Maybe someone reading this decides to get tested and saves their life. But, don’t most doctors today use the mail-in tests?

Surgeon’s always document procedures, in case goes to court.

I’ve had a colonoscopy and an EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy), I have full-color photos of both ends of my digestive tract.

My sis’s boss Onyx (my avi), a Dignified Lady of a Certain Age, has been having trouble with black tarry poops the last few days. When sis took her to the Dreaded V.E.T. yesterday, the doc asked her to take pix of the poops for the next few days & email them to the office. THANK YOU, SIS, for NOT sharing them with the family!
