I can’t see anything going wrong with this idea.

Stef just uses people who are kind and thoughtful to others. Prime targets. Good luck trying to change her by forgiving her and leading by example. Noble idea, but seems futile. But I hope I’m wrong.

Everyone who guessed that Tiff was dragging this out to avoid having to deal with Stef, give yourself a gold star.

(Of course, I’m still trying to figure out why Tiff needs to live in the dorms when the mansion is obviously within a short driving distance of the university.)

Ok, this catches me by surprise … but good work Dez. I still want to know about the broken window at the mansion. And for Tiff to reciprocate Ox’s affection. And please can Luann have a decent arc for a change. IMHO the writing one with Tara bombs. But if wishes were horses I suppose ….

Bets will throw Stef out of the dorm and use her head to open the door.

Dez, I think you’re comparison of Tiff to Stef is skewed. This is a sucker opportunity Tiff. You need some assurances!

There is a difference between forgiving and putting yourself in a position to continue being taken advantage of. There’s nothing to prevent Tiffany from forgiving Steff AND refusing to go back to rooming with her. Boundaries are healthy.

Dez seems seems to be a little manipulative here. I wonder what her game is? To fill the Quad room once again?

Yeah, she is thoughtful. One thought and her head is full.

Ugh. No. No Stef. She is what she is. Move back to the mansion and invite a couple of nice, hardworking, serious students to be roommates. No party people. Smart people only. You’ll be fine.

Dez she has tried smiler things in the past and they did not work. Stef does not care because her ego and mouth are to big. Dez blackmailing Tiff is not they way.

I never realized that Dez was such a complex person. I thought she was this idealistic, everyone-has-good-points type of person, and here she is, figuring what buttons to push to ‘encourage’ Tiffany to make a decision that will move her away from essentially taking advantage of Gunther and Les…

Dez. Forgiving Stef will not change who she is or her behavior. If you can handle Stef, then YOU be her roommate and let Tiff room with Bets. Walking naked will ensure that Kip will NOT stay in your room and take Stef to his room instead. Sorry to say but Kip likes his girls to look the way Stef does and you don’t quite fit the bill. So problem solved. You’ll have the room to yourself in your nudist heaven. Make the sacrifice for Tiff and switch roommates on her behalf so she can agree to return to the dorm.

Dez makes a better friend than most of the characters. She knows how to confront a friend doing wrong, but manages so gently to persuade them to change course, without any snark.

For the story’s sake, Tiffany should go back to the dorm. She should contact her father and tell him the whole story. Then he should secure the mansion with security cameras. Or, maybe he should sell it. He is never there, so what does he need it for?

Dez… you’re an idiot. Tiff doesn’t owe that heifer an apology. Dez… Why aren’t you counseling Stef… she’s the problem! Tiff…find another living arrangement. I wouldn’t go back to that God forsaken dorm.(ಠ_ಠ)━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ

Dez, I see, is destined to be a battered wife. There is some behavior that is just not forgivable. Especially when the abuser neither recognize that they are abusive or tried to rein in their behavior.

But this fits in with a pattern of behavior in Luann." Gunther abandoned Rosa in Peru because his mother was dating another man. He was violently opposed to her marriage until one day he just “forgave” her. And we never heard another word about “Angry Gunther” his opposition to her marriage or with him living with Leslie Knox. The other was during the Ann Eiffel travesty when Tiffany was hugely upset that Ann was get in between her and her father, making her life misery while claiming that Daddy was on the edge of bankruptcy. And then Tiffany just accepted that the evil would-be step-mother was something to live with. And all her anger and trauma went away. It seems like evil never gets punished in the Luannverse.

Am I the only one who’s ticked of that we are never going to know what happened at the manse to begin with?

Well, I would have to say that Tiff is certainly thoughtful. Full of thoughts of what to have the guys do next, that is.

Spectacular Dez. She managed to find a way for convince Tiffany to return just pointing out how she’s better than Stef. Dez knows Tiffany so well!

I’m really surprised that Tiffany would willingly digest what Dez was saying. Well let’s see what develops.

Don’t go back to that abusive dorm.

Dez is brilliant, something I’ve always believed. She is entirely right with the concept of forgiveness, because the forgiver really is healing their own soul, while the reaction to the forgiven is hopefully well-taken, but if not it’s one’s own life and personality that gets the repair. Tiffany needs to do that; I think that the second panel where Dez interrupts Tiff as she was about to call Steph the deserved “B” word is a brilliant play on what Tiff actually is doing herself by taking advantage of the boy’s kindness. Dez is leagues ahead of Bernice in the counseling game as she understands people.

Called it (faster than expected though, I admit). Not excited to see Stef return to the strip, though. Tiff may be a little light upstairs, but at least she means well and has expressed her gratitude to the guys around her. I have this feeling Stef is gonna be disappointed her make-out spot is gonna be more crowded again. :/

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, Dez. Stef is a pure narcissist. Don’t forgive them or try to get them to change – it’s never going to happen. Tiffany is selfish, but nothing like Stef.

NO. Just forget it. Stef is toxic and Bets isn’t much better. Did they ever address the fact that Bets recorded and posted the video of Tiffany and Stef arguing without their permission?

Stef is not a person who would learn anything by observing Tiffany’s example, other than “Boy, Tiffany sure is a chump! I can do whatever I want to her and she won’t fight back.”

It’s been a month, presumably the mansion has been secured. She can go back there.

Where are your reassurances that things will change Dez? None of what you"re saying makes any sense unless you have a way to make things change. Dez was the one who talked Tiffany into the dorm, and Tiffany invited Stef, so BOTH of them need to agree on a way to stop the abuse that’s getting dished out. Tiffany is not obligated to forgive and let things go back to the same old. Where is Stef’s apology and agreement to change?

Thought-provoking, introspective, character trait questions Dez is asking, but Tiffany doesn’t quite see herself fitting those descriptions.

Ahh diplomacy…

Telling someone to go to hell and having them look forward to the trip.

How about Dez taking Stef on as a room mate? That forgiveness talk wont last long.

Forgiveness is healing. Being a dormat is harming.

Or…pull up your britches, go back to the manse and get the security system upgraded. Or just go rent a small studio apartment close to campus. Tiffany has a lot of options that other people don’t. Also, I know Dez is trying to get the guys their lives back, but why is she so set on getting Tiff to come back to the dorm room? Stef must be driving them crazy.

Tiff should move back to the mansion and try to get Dez to go with her as a roommate. Tiff could learn a lot from Dez.

NO. Absolutely not. They already showed Stef they care about her when they gave up their turns in the privacy tent. And Stef turned around and accused them all of stealing from her. Do NOT go back to that toxic environment. If she’s afraid to go the mansion by herself, she can move into a different dorm room (or be a better houseguest to Gunther and Les). There are alternatives to putting up with a vapid, selfish child like Stef.

Time to call Daddy, ‘fess up to the situation, move back to the Mansion, and invite a select few to move in…with actual grown-up supervision and security.

Gawk, choke! Tiff is selfish and uncaring as well as a bully. She is always pulling the ‘One-Up-Man-ship’ on LuAnn when ever they are together.

I get the importance of being able to forgive people, if not for them then for yourself. However, this is enabling behavior. I was so happy when Tiff decided she didn’t want to take the abuse and move out. I really hope she doesn’t move back.

Caring? I suppose. Self absorbed as well, but then all of us are to one degree or another.

Dez is an annoying, stupid idiot. She takes her mother earth bs to a whole new level as long as other people are bending over to be walked on. I don’t like her, not one little big. There is nothing redeeming about suggesting that someone agrees to continue to be abused, in fact, it’s creepy.

Oh HELL no. Dez wants Tiffany to go back to being Stef’s doormat? Has she seriously learned nothing at all from living with that girl?

Roz makes a could councilor, unlike someone who is supposed to be studying to become one.

Dez’s advice would be sound if this was a tiny argument with a friend… but Stef threatened to have Tiffany sued/arrested while accusing her of theft. That’s a serious deal breaker for a roommate arrangement, to put it lightly. Could you not see how this is a LITTLE different than a small argument, Dez? I also have not seen Stef express genuine regret for what she did or that she felt bad for Tiff leaving.

I do like that Tiffany is showing that she actually cares about being a good person, High School Tiff would have just smirked and done a hairflip at the notion that she was being selfish/uncaring to someone.

Look, it really can’t be overstated just how bad Dez’s advice is. The whole idea of “sure they’re toxic and treat you like crap, but if you just ignore it and set a good example for them I’m sure they’ll come around” had literally gotten women killed. Dez is so desperate to feel like things are “peaceful and calm” that she’ll let Stef get away with anything. Why is it everyone else that has to sacrifice?

Unfortunately, Tiff is thoughtful….about herself.

Tiff should move back to the Manse and have her buddies live-in. Sit-com.

That’ll work. Tell Stefani in a kind and thoughtful voice “I forgive you” and watch the fireworks fly!!

That is a terrible idea! If anyone treats Stefi better, she will only treat them worse. All the roommates need to stop allowing Stefi to walk all over them and not tolerate her bad behavior. Tiffany should go back home and maybe have a friend stay there too. Bets kept her company all summer.

It’s not necessarily about telling Stef that she is “forgiven” but about mentally getting back to a clean slate with someone so that you can move on with your life. And Dez is presenting it as a challenge which Tiff relishes; she’s gently pointing that right now Tiff is being the abuser; she could not take the challenge and be the pot calling the kettle black.

:-) Clever, almost reverse psychology. Offering a challenge to Tiffany.

Stef is terrible. But Dez is right.

“I don’t know, assuming it’s not too late for Stef to learn not to be a spoiled infant, I’m afraid I’m not spiritually advanced enough to be her teacher. How about you give it a shot, Dez?”

Great job. Convince her she is good and she will try to live up to it.

Convince a person he or she is bad and he or she will often live down to it.

Restated: Praise people whenever possible and you are apt to have more reasons to praise them.

Oh Dez, you poor poor thing, you’re just making stuff up so you can feel self righteous. Bless your heart.

I can’t blame Tiff for not wanting to move back to the dorm, but she needs to quit taking advantage of Les and Gunth and start helping out.

See how Dez did that? Forgiveness is better than a lifetime of regret.

What if she told her dad what happened? Maybe he’ll hire her a bodyguard and she could stay at the mansion? Yeah, right!1

Good Grief, she lives in her own fantasy world.

This is now the second person in recent history to advise Tiffany to go back to an abusive, toxic environment (the first was Bernice telling her to move back home so Ann Eiffel could use her as a slave some more.) Tiffany should pull a Delta and put all these awful friends in her rearview mirror.

Tif needs to apologize to Les for walking all over him and giving him false hope. I know Les can be scuzzy, but he hasn’t had a good upbringing and I believes he craves love.

I vote present?

The question isn’t weather Tiff can forgive Steff, it’s weather Tiff has the “maturity”/ability to set and effectively communicate her boundaries to Steff (doubtful) and weather Steff will honor those boundaries (very very doubtful). At best, if she does it right, Tiff is setting herself up for a long haul of stating boundaries and then enforcing and policing those boundaries. Great prep for teaching/parenthood/policework, but Tiff should ask weather she wants to volunteer herself into a thankless situation, or ask Dez to do it and let her martyr her sanity to Steff.

Final question, why is Dez having this conversation with Tiff and neither of the guys? Seems like Dez is OK with expecting Tiff to act like a responsible adult but not the guys. They should be taking responsibility for there own living situation and advocating for there needs as well. What’s with the double standard?

Dez needs to shut up! Steph is so rude, nasty, hateful, and self centered! She does not care about Tiffany!

If Tiff was using her head, she could tell her dad that she’s lonely and wants a few roommates. Then she could charge them rent that she could split that with her dad. Problem solved and everyone gets a better place to live.

Dez gives some good advice; but she’s also mighty crafty! If anyone can get Tiffany on the Straight and Narrow, it just might be Dez….

At least the dorm has people around her mansion has no one else.
