Well, Steph, and Kip, who is—maybe a plot device—are coming in an arc by themselves. Conflict, drama, tension! Sort of Lu’s novel, but for real. What does this portend? Watch for misdirection plays, fo shizzle.

Woah, what just happened? Anyone else feel like you just landed in the middle of the story arc instead of the beginning?

I hope they are done. We certainly are.

OK, what’s this all about?

While we wait for Tiffany, the second most despised character, having left Bernice the most despised character in the strip I was wondering who else could carry a week? Gunther and Les? Nah. Les and Punk? Nah. Bets and Gunther? Nah. Then i had an idea. What if Toni and Brad were called in for a five alarm fire. They had just been handed Shannon. Since they both have to go and TJ was at work, and Luann at school for a night class an Frank and Nancy had left for a production of Kinky Boots, they have no one to dump the brat on, so they take her to the fire, put her in one of the fire trucks and admonish her not to touch anything. The next strip shows her figetting but obeying orders. In the next strip she sees a car careening towards the fire fighters, doesn’t know what to do. The next strip showd her honking the truck’s horn, saving everyone. And Saturday she’s made a Junior Fire Fighter for her presence of mind. If she’s six this is within the realm of the possible. It would also show Brad and Toni at work, and give a positive glow to Shannon.

And I will charge nothing for this idea!

I don’t know yet what is going on, but I know it’s drama.

Those are all her techniques? Oh, Kippy. This girl has more techniques, but most of the more effective ones can’t be shown in a family comic strip.

I’m afraid Stef has Tiffany beat on the acting chops. But Kip knows the story too well.

Well we don’t yet know WHAT stef want from kip. But we can presume it’s something stef has NO problem using her body as leverage to get it.

Oh, boy. Stef is a lot to handle. She did that before. Not attractive side of Stef – begging to stay together once too many times. When someone doesn’t want or is not interested, be graceful and wail in private. Admit it, Stef. You don’t actually love Kip – you only like the status he holds as the college football team quarterback. Likewise, Kip, being quite a cliche, likes to have the head of the cheerleader squad on his arm. My guess is he is tired and bored with your drama. He decided it is not worth it anymore. While some fans thinks Kip and Tiff would get together, I am not too sure. They are a little too alike. Vain. Vacuous. Cliche-y. Status-quo-ey. Etc. There’s no balance. Maybe they HAVE to get together and find out that they’re too alike for their relationship to work.

Oh, super… these two. What arc are getting here this time?

Contrast yesterday’s restrained, low key beauty of Toni with today’s Stef, tight clothes, dramatic makeup, and an aggressive attack mode for unrestrained romance. Dump Kip and spread that thrill time around.

What a solemn farce, sorry considering the actress, it’s rather a bad comedy!

Okay so who is going to walk in and step on this landmine; will it be Tiff, Dez or Bets with Gunnie with her? Obviously Kip has reached his saturation point with Stef but does Tiff get a chance at him right off of the rebound, that will definitely initiate WWWIII in the quad.

Honestly, I’m not all that impressed by either half of that particular couple.

Maybe Ox will be Steph’s rebound.

What took Kip so long? He should have broken up with Steph months ago!

Stef is cute, but really unbearable. I hope for Kip that the positive sides of being with her are really exceptional, because enduring these scenes so many times that he becomes immune to them feels really heavy. I wonder what she want so much from him now. But finally we’ll see how is going between Stef and Bets, if Bets already can’t stand her anymore or if she’s still friends with her.

Next, she’ll say “Get out of here, Kip! I can’t stand the sight of you! Hey!!! How dare you walk away from me when I’m talking to you!”

He’s done with her.

An intriguing questionable question from Kip in frame 3 to segue into the rest of the week. Done with this conversation or done with the relationship?

Maybe Kip isn’t willing to forgive Stef for hooking up with the window repair guy. Good for him but I still think he and Stef are the worst.

If any of the other characters in the strip want Stef’s sloppy seconds they are more dumb than I could’ve guessed.

I’m thinkin’ Kippie is ready for a new depository.

I like how Kip doesn’t tolerate Stef’s act.

This could be another page in Luann’s romance novel.

Sounds like done… in more ways than one.

Just looking at the visual language in this one, Kip feels like a prop. Doesn’t move, stands straight as a board in the first panel. He merely exists to further a plot (focused on a pretty boring character).

From today’s strip, it looks like Kip has learned how to say no to Steph. But about what? And, shouldn’t Kip be training for his next season in the CFL, NFL, or, possibly the USFL?

He is clearly NOT breaking up with her. She would not say or do those things in response to Kip breaking up with her. She wants him to do something, but he does not want to do it. Maybe she wants him to visit her family in Yeehaw Junction trailer park for a week.

So what does Stef want Kip to do? Visit her family? Go to a wedding with her? Some other fancy social event?

Won’t go with her to . . . ?

Wow, we’ve finally found someone in this strip who has a spine. I wonder what they’re talking about here.

It’s kind of out of the blue, but I’m glad Kip finally woke up.

So the 4 stages of Stef trying to get her way are: 1-Tears 2-Flirting 3-Begging and 4- Anger. Is the 5th stage Acceptance?

The question is, will it be permanent this time?

Whether it is or not, it’s probably a safe bet that Stef is going to be an even BIGGER “pain in the neck” than she is now.

Kip seems to be the most sensible and reasonable of all the characters.

And so we jump to the two least interesting characters in the strip. But it’s only Monday, so the other characters might be drawn in.

I always thought it was just about the “fringe benefits” (sex) for Kip.

Stef you are desperate that’s a a bad look for any woman.

Steffi in college is like Tiffany in high school.

As I always suspected, Kip is a player of the sex toys about campus and Stef is his main squeeze. But, that’s as far as it goes. Her attempt to get some love out of the equation isn’t going to work. He might play with her, but marry her, that’s another matter entirely.

My beloved Stef now knows she needs to expand her repertoire.

We need a survey: What did Steph ask Kip to do? Is this a breakup or not?

Have waited longer than a whole lifetime for something good to happen to Luann in a comic named “Luann”. Instead we get to see stupid mean Bernice. Just why can’t Luann have something?Just bring Quill back already. Let my girl be happy and giddy about something actually amazing about her own life.

Tiffany’s character development I get, but Bernice being the focus….i just can’t anymore.

Whether he dumps her or not, it’s refreshing to see him have a backbone.

We just need to find out what it is that Kip won’t do; it doesn’t mean a break up. There’s just something he’s not willing to do and I’m glad he’s finally being firm with her, whatever it is.

I have been reading a book and in it the author (old enough to have had cars pre-fob) describes the 2-key sets that we used to have for cars before fobs. I am sure some of you remember those two keys. In the book, he says one was for the trunk and doors, and one was for the ignition. Agree or disagree? Yes, totally off topic but where else can I get some good answers for this?

I’m going out on a limb here, which I’m sure will crash on the ground, busting my big old bald head, but I think that Steph is trying to get Kip to let her bunk with him. He can’t and won’t. Still where to live arcs?

Kip is solid as a rock. Impressive.

I feel like we missed a day, whatever sets this comic up.
