Bernice DIDN"T respond to Nil?? Not nice! She could have graciously told him No Thanks.

It’s a good bet that Piro will see Bernice at the Fair. It will definitely be awkward.

I’m looking forward to the Spring Fair arc… it’s bound to be a lot of fun.

Bern’s had enough practice with Nil, she afraid to step up to the big leagues?

“Constructive Selectivity.” How can Bernice afford to use such Five Dollar words when she has no source of income? Another example of why Bernice is my least favorite character.

So LuAnn, whose experience with relationships involves dumping Quill & trying to sabotage Gunther & Bets is going to bust Bernice’s chops?

How do we, or Bernice, or anyone even know Piro wanted to be more than friends in the first place?! I’ll be that is what he told her in the letter. He only wants to be friends. We never heard what was in the letter did we? Unless I missed it?

Well, Bernice. Maybe Piro just want to see an old friend. Nothing romantic. After all, you did give him a couch to sleep on. It was YOU who pushed him out your dorm room after a disappointing kiss. THAT is the reason you don’t want to see him. Does Luann know you kissed Piro, I wonder?

Bernice is such a twit. I’ll wager she gets jealous if sparks fly between Luann and Piro ☜⁠ ⁠(⁠↼⁠_⁠↼⁠)

Bernice’s social relationship rule should be, “Beggars can’t be choosers.”

Friends can go out for coffee so that’s not a good excuse for not answering the letter.

Lotta big words. For so-called psychology major, Bernice is full o crap. Could be that’s what psychology is all about.

Luann knows that Bernice is still VERY interested in Piro and that she has a huge inner conflict that stop her from meets him. I like how, although she likes Piro a lot, Luann always puts her BFF first and would like the two to meet and talk. It’s impossible that Bernice is not intrigued by what Piro may have written. Unfortunately she’s too proud (and scared of her own feelings) to admit she wants to meet him. But I think it will happen and it will be really intense. Let’s hope Luann will be around to offer assistance in case things go bad.

Making fancy excuses for hurting others and not speaking the truth reveals how emotions blur the subconscious with reality and reality takes the hit. She is lying to herself (and others) because of her inability to deal with emotions she can’t understand.

This Speing Fair better deliver, with 3. Days left in the regular Luannvwrse main story week. It makes sense given how the characters have been drawn, thar the focus in on how Lu and Been..might react, but again given that the three main male characters, Nil Jack, and Walt/Pirouette will all be there too THEIR reactions should be interesting, should GnK choose to make it that way.

Selectivity is one of the main tools of our Darling Ann❤️Eiffel’s bag of tricks. Dearest Ann❤️Eiffel is very selective of her smitten male companions depending on their bank account and credit card limit. Don’t kid yourselves, Faithful Ann❤️Eiffel followers. Most women do the very exact same thing as our Ann❤️Eiffel. And you can Count on it.

Piro reading in front of an audience will be interesting in itself.

Piro is displaying his art with Bern and Jack in it? Wasn’t Jack nude? Hopefully the “model” isn’t easily identifyable.

And the dance between Luann and Bernice re Piro’s “availability” begins

Depending upon GnK’s take, this could be another stress point in their relationship. It started with the move-in. Dad liking Bern’s cooking and such, like having a second daughter. Tara’s sleepovers and window escapes with Bern thinking it was Jack. And now this. But, all will blow over and characters will return to high-school norms.

She’s ignoring him. She’s responding with constructive ignor ance.

Awe poor scared thing.

Ghosting

Almost everyone in the strip is more interesting than Luanne…even Bern…would enjoy seeing more of dorm life, Shoog…

Constructive selectivity. What’s that? Sounds like something she read in a book.

Avoing Piro with “constructive sensitivity,” Bernice? You’re just plain ignoring him. And, why?I’m sure Piro’s face replaced Nils’ face in some of those “Bodice Ripper” dreams you have.

How does Bern know that Piro doesn’t just want to be friends? Not answering is not “friendly”. That said, I think deep down she is attracted to Piro and is afraid to meet w/ him alone; i.e she’s afraid of her own hormones, i.e. they might go wild and Bern likes to be in control.

So what’s the big deal? Bernice barely knew Piro but she got involved with his homeless situation, developed a crush to the point of battling Tiffany for his backpack, shared a bad kiss, and then never saw him again. Not very memorable, and certainly not a “friendship”. She gets to “select”, or discern, who she associates with, and his troubled vagabond lifestyle is probably not very attractive to someone like Bernice. She much prefers the artistic types who paint eyebrows.

Bernice sure is under the impression that Nil’s into her. Piro too for that matter, given he never said he wanted to talk to Bern about wanting to be in a relationship with her! (Her ego is showing) Given her inconsiderate attitude regarding Piro, I hope Nil tells Bernice he prefers Jack as his muse, and partner, and that he doesn’t see Bernice as relationship material.

Also, she’s an aspiring therapist and is ignoring somebody in her personal life who could be reaching out for help? Not a good look.

Constructive selectivity… Yeah, that’s the ticket.

I’ve not been liking Bernice for a while and this just gives me another reason.

Bernice, who is a rather neurotic, unsociable, self-infatuated and captious (probably due in large part to her family situation). Rationalizes her treatment of Piro because when around him, he causes deep seated stirrings in her feminine instincts, which she fears, and cannot trust herself to refrain from indulging in those passions that would require vulnerability, commitment, compassion and a release of what she considers control! Yeah, that’s what it is!

OK, this goes over the line for me with Bernice. Ghosting Piro? no. just wrong. you’re acting like a B…..

Bern two things: 1) you do not have to be friends with someone if you don’t want to. and 2) Not telling a guy whose clearly pining for you and isn’t being a total jerk about it (the last part is key, if their being an obessive dip ghosting might be your only option), your not intrested is just mean. You don’t have to meet for coffee but like.. your best friend is in a class with him. Just show up to meet her to “accidently” bump into him and let him down gently.

Piro’s letter made NO mention of any romantic intentions. Bernice is so vain and conceited to think that is what Piro wants. What a jerk she is !

I guess that answers the question of if Bernice has stopped ghosting Piro yet. She really is a singularly awful person, and her dishonest justifications make her even worse since she refuses to own her behavior.

Rude is as rude does and rude is not “friendly”.

More like DESTRUCTIVE selectivity. At least towards potential relationships.

To interpret Piro’s letter as wanting to be more than friends, Bernice has to be a) conceited, b) reflecting her own feelings, c) both a and b.

I just don’t like Bernice anymore. Her character seems more narccisistic and abrasive.

Interesting friendship.

I guess I have millions of friends if the defining proof is not talking to them.

Hmm if she knew that Piro was more messed up than Nil, wonder if she would run to him?

Bernice can’t even talk to him. Of course. Maybe she’ll be forced to listen to “Starr, Angsty Boy”, and that will warm her up.

Berniece is behaving badly here. The least she could have done was write him back saying she would prefer not to meet for coffee but that she’s glad to hear he’s doing well. I personally think she is still harboring unresolved feelings for him and in typical Berniece fashion does not know how to handle these feelings. So she’s simply choosing to pretend they do not exist. She can’t do this if she sees him in person.

Bern, it’s coffee, not a wedding ring. Respond with something, even if it’s *no".

Bernice is really good at that.
