This could easily apply to Florida under DeSantis. It is the philosophy he wants to apply to all of America.

I wish I could just convince myself that MTG wasn’t real. I’d probably be happier.

It’s always a performance from MTG, but it’s not Art; closer to the deranged ranting you’d get from the lunatics in an asylum.

I’ve always had this theory that one day Mitch McConnell would rip off a mask and reveal him self to be Andy Kaufman.

Lately I feel anyone running for office must take and pass the same tests given for citizenship. This way we can confirm they know the history of the U.S. and how the government works.

It will be part of a signed affidavit or equivalent that they took the test.

If they lied about taking the test without help, they are removed and band from running for office.

MTG gets the ‘Doonesbury treatment’.

Sometimes I do almost think I’m watching a new cast on the old “Colbert Report,” but that’s just wishful thinking.

That is a good description of the Republican house with their hearings about nothing, and indicted whistleblowers and paid witnesses. It is all simply performance art. I guess when you don’t care about governing it is what you do.

Years ago my local paper started carrying Michelle Malkin’s column. I thought it was parody at first. When I was in high school I listened to Carl McIntyre for laughs.

I had this figured out after the first couple of panels.

The scariest thing about MTG (and others like her) is that so many people vote for them.

It was clear that MTG was going to lose her first reelection campaign so the Republicans gerrymandered her seat to stretch to nearly an hour’s drive away from her original one. I have a family member who was very unhappy to suddenly be in her district.

The amazing thing about this strip is that the two of them are still together after all this time. I guess they were really meant to be together and she’s better off without Mike.

I have something of a bad news/good news relationship with MTG, Bad news: She represents my state. Good news: I’m not in her district.

Funny, if it wasn’t so sad.

If someone from, say, 1990 (or possibly even later) was transported to 2023 and could hear what MTG and her ilk (ill-uck?) are spewing, he would react with total disbelief that he was watching real political speech and not an SNL sketch.
