Can we just take a moment to appreciate the glory of Ora Zell’a tiny outstretched toes, with the perfect pink toe beans? How does Georgia do this?? Her technique is awesome!

It was supposed to rain here yesterday, but I never got any. Just a few clouds and a lightning alert.

Spring has started here, and the ice is breaking up on the Brisbane River. The snow is slowly retreating up to Mt Coot-tha. The magpies are ready to defend their territories. Our local pair know me and know I am harmless. I always talk to them when I see them. But one swooped on Her Supremacy this morning. No contact. He flew right past my knee and clacked his beak at Her, but She was busy with grass and did not deign to notice. I persuaded Her to come back inside.

Here in NYC, my cats and I are doing the same thing…but with air conditioning!

Interesting season in the Northwest. Start with woodstove in the morning and finish with window fan in the afternoon. The leaves will be turning soon.

Not quite there, but, our temps took a huge dive off of 85°-90° down to our typical 70°s range, just this past week or so. The drop used to happen around the start of Sept, but the last 3-4 years, it’s been closer to the end of Sept, so, it’s a huge relief to have it happen now.

The CN reporters have talked about FBS before in September, January, and even in March. So is there an official date or is it dependent on weather conditions? Does an abundance of Pumpkin Spice bring it on earlier?

It’s been between 40 and 50 here in the mornings in mid-Michigan where I am and between 70 and 80 in the afternoons. Right now at almost 8am, I’m looking out the window and 270 feet to the road, we can’t see it, it’s so froggy out. Weird weather this time of year. Every year.

Intermittent phone/internet issues. I’m fine, but the telecom system is having a bit of a bad hair day.

It has been a wonderful number of cool days after being up around 101’ a couple of weeks ago. I love cloudy, cool, rainy days.

I love today’s images though it makes me want to go nap but I’m eager to get back to the vast story arc. It’s obvious now that the great mole war is about to wind down. I, for one, will be sorry to see it end. It’s been great to have so many other critters introduced plus old ones referenced that we haven’t seen for a while. Just from a creative standpoint, this has been a stunning achievement.

Falling asleep reading while it is raining is the ultimate in cozy.

I can never fall asleep while reading. In fact, I now avoid reading before bed. As for reading in bed, it probably means I’m in pain. Sigh.

Sadly, it’s going to be in the mid-80s here today. We’ll hit temperatures over 90 quite a few times before November. We’re on the eastern edge of the SF Bay Area where the Bay has no effect on the climate.

Snuggle inside with nowhere to be? As if you indoors house cats is gets to goes outside otherwise.

Even cooler here in Houston! Down to 95 degrees after weeks of triple digits!

Georgia has done it again!

Where I live, we’ve had triple-digit highs most days since the start of June. Today’s predicted high: 103°. So when I read today’s strip, I thought, Cool weather? I wish!

About an hour ago I started hearing thunder. And here came the rain! And the temp has dropped down to 80° – yes 80°!

Once again, Georgia has produced a strip that matches the weather, a strip she drew allll these days in advance!

It even matches here in Inland SoCal – rain and decreased temp.

Sounds wonderful!
